    Interesting take. Buying a camera that does not offer at least 10 bit video in 2023 is a huge no-no. My advice is to buy the FX30 with the Sony 18-105mm F4. Brilliant combo for RUclips work.
    Bdw, I still use the a6500 with the above mentioned lens.

      Hey English for Sri Lanka! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it and Happy Holidays! Yes, that lens is awesome. I had been using the 18-105mm a lot more when out of the house and not just travelling. I mainly use the Sigma Len’s more for my RUclips content, not saying the 18-105mm wouldn’t do the job. But outside of RUclips its nice to grab a nice zoom that covers 99% of your shots :)

    Great video you're on your way but to those watching coming from another content creator here on RUclips I'm not sure this is the best advice. You probably have your first camera in your pocket and it's called your phone. Get a mic and use that if you wanna hold off on a Mirrorless camera or DSLR. And never doubt yourself. The FX30 is an entry level Mirrorless cinema camera and everything that you have to learn in it you'll have to learn in a low budget DSLR. We all end up having to upgrade but this camera will hold up a lot longer then your DSLR or other entry level Mirrorless cameras that don't shoot 4k 60fps or even 4k 120sps let alone 10 bit video. If you can get this camera as your first camera here in 2023 you should definitely do it.

      Hey Usawa Fitness! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I agree the best camera is the one in your pocket when you need one. Start with what you have! Or like you said if you have some money to spare... there a lot of options.

    Hey man, great video, i am just starting out with video creation. I have for now just used my iPhone, but looking for at good video camera for reels, youtube, and other video work. Small amount of pictures. What would be best a Sony fx30 or Sony A7S iii? Or a different option? I want to create in the best quality possible. Money is max around 4k

      Hey Julius Steen!! Thanks for taking the time to leave a question in the comments, I really appreciate it! That is a great question that because those are 2 great cameras in my humble opinion, and the Sony a7siii has been the premium choice for RUclips for many years and still leaned on for professional work in some cases. With that being said, I was in the same dilemma before purchasing the Sony FX30. There are a few things to consider, as you stated you will take a small amount of pictures, as the Sony a7siii is only 12MP but with great glass will still make amazing pictures. Also, what and where are you going to shoot, as the 2 cameras main difference is corp sensor versus full frame which is a whole video on its own, but there are pro’s and con’s to each. So, based on good video for reels, RUclips and other video work both are great choices in my opinion. I have used the Sony FX30 for paid work and my client was happy and didn’t question if it was a crop sensor or full frame etc. Ok, I can’t say it’s a simple answer to choose either. I will tell you why I choose the Sony FX30. Most if not all my shooting is in a controlled lighting area and mostly well lit. I already had APS-C lenses, even if you were going to buy brand new is still significantly cheaper than full frame lenses. For my RUclips videos are more of a set it and forget it scenario. That being said, I choose the Sony FX30 as it has the latest colour Science, 10bit colour, video centric, uses my existing lenses and still takes photos at 26MP. The advantages of the Sony A7Siii is because it is full frame will be better in low light situations (FX30 is not bad in my opinion) and noticeably better compared to FX30 footage. So, right now with the information you gave me, I would choose the Sony FX30 and invest in some nice lenses. Let me know what you end up choosing and stay in touch :)

      @@Elev8Project@ Elev8Project Thanks for this great response, I'm going with the Fx30, because its also 2k cheaper here in Denmark. And the video on the Fx30 looks fantastic. For what i will use it for i think its perfect.

    Hi ,i will buy a camera,,i like a7iv but with that overheat issues...mmm....I liked the cooler system of fx30 but no having mecanic shutter and i readed i may cause some artifacts on photos with electronic shutter,,its that true? thanks

    • @Elev8Project
      @Elev8Project  Год назад +2

      Hey RoyBatty-Nexus6! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it! It depends on the work you are doing. The overheating issue that I have seen from the A7IV was more in video mode shooting in 4K 60fps for longer periods of time, like interviews. Even for myself, I am looking at getting the a7iv for real estate work with my Sony FX30. I love the fan on the FX30, more so just the confidence I have shooting in 4K 60fps, which I do a lot for real estate videos. When it comes to photos and not having a mechanical shutter, I will assume you are right that it can cause artifacts, but I have seen a lot of people use the electronic shutter most of the time for the a7iv unless they are burst shooting or bracketing. So, theoretically, if you aren't aware you would have the same issue with the A7iv. With the limited time I used my FX30 for photos, which in most cases is just for thumbnails I haven't personally had an issue, but thumbnails for RUclips isn't professional work I am sending to a client, so I haven't really watched out for it as I keep the FX30 more as my dedicated video shooter. Lastly, if you are a hybrid shooter, and shooting video is going to be for shorter periods of time in 4K 60fps I think you will be ok with the A7iv. Like I said earlier, I am thinking about getting the a7iv myself as I get more into photography and upgrading my Sony ZV-E10 for multi-cam interviews :)
