    I hope you guys love them as much as I do! I also want to note one more thing I have noticed now that I have been using them for a while which is that MY WINDOW COVERS DO NOT FIT SNUG ANYMORE BECAUSE THESE ARE BLOCKING THEM! However, literally last night someone tried to break into my van from the back door while I was sleeping so I would take the wonky fitting window covers over not having extra locks ANY DAY!

    great vid again Tory and dont bother with the upside down deadbolts, i think thats extra security since it goes against expectations on how it turns 👍. also you'd create unnecessary future trouble (like rust or loosening its grip) by unscrewing and re-screwing the bolts. also i would prefer that you find a way to add a deadbolt on the inside of the backdoor of the van. you can deadbolt the two doors together instead of against the frame of the van if you want to lessen creating holes into the van framework.

    I've had this idea where you put some kind of steel U-shaped handle on each front door, and use a ratchet strap to fasten them together. That way the door can't physically be opened on either side even if picked. This could be done pretty easily on the sliding and rear doors also. Would be already setup if your front door handles are a solid handle-style instead of the "pocket" handles you find in some vehicles like sprinter vans.

    For a quick exit, make sure you place the key in a permanent location where you know where to grab it if you need to exit the van quickly. BTW, a keyed lock like that is against the fire safety building code in homes because you can accidentally lock yourself in during a fire.

    Interior locks will definitely give you extra time at night while the thieves struggle to get to the interior locks.
    My van driver door smaller window was smashed and a thief reached in to stick a tool into the HeoSafe deadbolt key hole to unlock and opened the door to get in. The key hole was destroyed.
    Thieves had already used that tool to stick into my driver door and back door factory key holes to unlock the doors.
    They could not get inside due to my extra locks inside until they unlock the HeoSafe deadbolt next to the window.
    I recently installed the Thunderbolt HIDDEN deadbolt locks with REMOTES since any locks with key holes are easy to destroy with a tool these days.

    The best thing to have in your van, for self defence is wasp and hornet spray. It is accurate to 30 feet. And jt is NOT a weapon. But if you spray anyone in the face they will stop! Whatever they are doing. Also side and back door can be locked inside with a simple pad lock set. happy vanning.

    While you're outside the van and parked you can attach a fake antenna with a magnet. Make it yourself, easy. If you need a baton weapon, just grab it off the hood. Many modern antennas are short and covered wtih black material, so not hard to make thicker than older style antennas.

    Safety tip with drill bit. If you know the depth you want to drill and don't want to accidentally punch the drill further and maybe hit something sensitive behind, then use some masking tape and wrap a few layers around the drill bit just behind the depth you want the drill bit to enter, and makes it easy to keep from push punching through too far.

    Have you heard of the owl, protection alarm it record video around the van front and back, if someone trying to get in it will send you alert to you where ever you are. You can call the police and give not only a description of the suspect, I believe you can send a copy of the video, so the police can see them also. If they are walking away from the van but the responding unit will have a short video of the suspect that was committing the crime. I believe it is cheaper that the lock,and if you get into accident you will be able to give the courts copy of the accident video also. Look into if you like.

People don’t interact like they used to everybody’s on their phone or iPad or android. We don’t really get to know each other. I hope you have the best day or night ever, you have mean to me I see you grow on social media. I’m very impressed. You are such a strong, powerful woman. You are amazing.

      It varies :
      National PARK ,
      National MONUMENT ,
      BLM Land , COUNTY Land ,
      STATE Parks , STATE Land ;
      You could be subject to
      THOUSANDS of dollars in FINES
      just for driving a short distance
      off-TRAIL in some places ( fragile
      eco-systems where it could take
      *many* _DECADES_ for a small
      bush to regrow ) , other places
      have dispersed campsites ( often
      identified by an existing fire-ring ,
      etc. ) , & other places that allow
      unrestricted travel.
      It's YOUR responsibility to check

    I'm surprised the hex screws are reachable while it is locked. A random thief probably isn't packing hex keys. Overall you still get a little extra time. Did you get white rubber plugs to cover the screws? If you didn't it might be worth throwing some white silicone in the screw holes to hide them and make it a little harder for that more determined crazy person. I'm sure there are ways to increase security from the inside on the other doors also. I love all the extra stuff you put in the videos...sword/lightsaber type things. Keeps it fun🙂

    Seems like they have the same hole configuration even if you turn them upside down or turn them around to the correct door now. It should take you about 2 minutes to screw each one off and then 2 minutes screwing them back on each. So, a total of 8 minutes to switch them around from one door to the other. So you'd have them turn the right way for the key.

  • @tom53332
    @tom53332 10 месяцев назад

    I'm not sure this is such a good idea. If you ever need to get out for some reason (fire?) you will also have to spend time you might not have fiddling with keys you may not have at hand to open this lock or for something to smash the window with. Might be better off adding something like a chain at the top of the door, people won't be able to reach from the outside unless climbing through the window, but if they're willing to go to that lengths the lock won't do much good either. Better to have a fast exit route yourself in that case.

    Wow those look ghetto installed for that much cost. Plus could limit comfort if arm is on the arm rest.

    Isn't it easier to just break the window?

    They appear the same. Can't you just swap them? Be careful not to lock yourself in too much in case of an emergency like fire or something.

    There is window film which can be installed on inside of windows, which makes side windows and van back windows, be harder for someone to break in, because it's a laminate which holds all the glass together, making it harder to just do a smash and grab. Window Break proof, Smash proof, Security film, for searches. And don't leave "window candy" visible that may entice someone to smash the window wanting to steal it. It also keeps someone from reaching in and unlocking and entering the vehicle. Get a cattle prod too. It's a few feet long and hits like a taser if you need to persuade such person to back out.

    I’m surprised you’re living in the van before you have completed it.

    If I lived in the USA I'll be glad to welcome uninvited visitors with a generous serving of lead.

    What's the point if someone can just break the window?

    • @ToryDelury
      @ToryDelury  10 месяцев назад +1

      To give me extra reaction time if I am in the back of the van. More time to prepare, react, & defend. Also, if someone is trying to break in quickly now they will have to climb through the window of a very high up door so it will be embarrassingly difficult 📈 And at the least I’ll get to watch the entertainment on my camera system 😂

    Nope not liking the idea of double locking yourself in a van and needing a key to get out...
