Wish we had an account of what Brigham Young said to Hyrum Smith to make him feel good about polygamy and why did it not help Emma to convert?

I know that Hyrum told Joseph to let him tell Emma about the D&C 132 revelation to try and convince her. They drew up a copy of 132 and Hyrum showed it to her. She tour it up and didn't believe it. I don't know what else they tried nor necessarily what Brigham Young showed Hyrum.

Is there a reason you use the the term 'eternity only' rather than 'sealing'?

A LARGE ĜROUP OF MEN WHO HAVE BEEN MARRIED SAY, I,M DIVORCED AND I DO NOT WANT TO BE MARRIED AGAIN. WELL THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT. MEN AND WOMEN GO INTO MARRIAGE TODAY FOR DIFFERENT REASONS AND WITH DIFFERENT EXPECTATIONS. WITHOUT THE PROPER UNDERSTANDING, GOALS, KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE IN RELATIONS IT IS DIFFICULT. I, SAY, IT IS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO GET AMONG WITH MYSELF. SO, THIS IS A TOUGH SUBJECT WHEN ONCE REALIZED.
I SAY YOU OUGHT TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THE RIGHT REASON.
I WOULD LIKE TO INPUT MORE. BUT I,M SOME WHAT AFRAID TO.

Benjamin Franklin Johnson also had an interesting conversion to “the principle.” Correct me on these details, but Joseph had an intention to marry one of “Benny’s” sisters. The young Johnson bristled at the news, and gave Joseph a terse warning, saying something like, this better be legitimate! Concurrently, the Prophet gave Johnson an assignment, to explain polygamy to another person, and as he did so, he himself would receive a testimony of it. Ben did, and he did! Joseph did then marry Johnson’s sister, and had an overnight honeymoon complete with intimate relations, (See _My Life’s Review,_ BFJ).

Nope! Non contemporary third hand lying account. Sorry to burst your polygamous bubble. That's a lie.

Why is John c bennit being an anti Mormon.. why does Brian hales use this anti Mormon person with serious character issues.. why does the LDS church use him as a credible source of information.. should we continue to anti Mormon people credibility in today’s church society.. and if not.. why does the church do that to Joseph smith…

Your words concerning Emma are very disturbing. I hope one day individuals like yourself will give up doing this dance around the truth and admit that the facts do not line up. Joseph and Emma denied polygamy to the death. They were both individuals of the highest integrity. Joseph did not need to “hide” anything from anyone. The only ones needing to hide the truth are those saying that he was a polygamist and that Emma was a horrible person who tried to have Joseph murdered. The way the early saints and BY spoke of Emma is disgusting.

Is this actually accepted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be factual?

Our polygamy narrative as told here is literally one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Scott and Casey, go back and listen to yourselves, is this practice really something you want to defend? Imagine we listened to what Joseph and Hyrum actually said during their lifetimes, it would tell a much different story. Did you ever think to consider your sources? Jon Bennet, William Clayton, decades old testimony from motivated polygamists…we can do better than this.

To be this well acquainted with the history of the founding of the LDS church and still believe that a genuine God brought all of this to pass absolutely boggles the mind. In order to buy into that claim, you have to worship a God who created whiskers (facial hair) on men, and pubic hair on both men and women. Sorry, but that's well beyond my ability to cope with.
