So I saw the movie the other day and finally figured out why Andrew got all crazy when he smoked up. It's cause he never actually reacted like that. It was all in Allison's head. She never joined the spliff session and was a bit stunned when Andrew did at the last minute. The whole sequence of him going ape shit was just her imagining how the weed might affect him (her being innocent to the effects of pot). If you watch the scene in it's entirety it ends with his scream fading into the original cut of her with the same shocked expression on her face as when he first got up to go smoke.

I gotta say, a lot of people are hating on Claire, but I never thought she was so bad. She had her moments of arrogance, yes, but so did the other teenagers. She was even nice to them most of the time, like when she comforted Brian about being a virgin.
