That was impressive running the machine with the body off. So we could see the inner workings. Awesome 👍

@@ryantheteknishun9377 That whirlpool gear oil reminds me of GE filter-flo gear oil because of that smell alone. I may be crazy but I like that oil smell because it brings back so many memories of my childhood sitting by the machine for hours on end while it was running.

    Great help.. need more😇

Yes, cycle finished. Slide bottom front lip of cabinet under the front of frame. Ensure cabinet sides line up with rear tabs on frame bottom and that the back of washer fits nicely with the cabinet. Then hook in the cabinet hardware and press in! If they don’t snap in easy, keep working with cabinet alignment. There’s probably more videos out there that go into better detail with it

    1. You don't need to take cabinet off and lid switch to find a leak. When empty of water put washer up on some wood blocks or a lawn mower atv floor jack.
    2. Many times it is not just a hose. These washers have horrible outter tubs with weak plastic. Mine had cracks all over the outter tub, that split like a milk carton in many places. There's videos all over of this problem. I ended up just getting another free washer with bad actuator off Craigslist and switch parts to get functional. And didn't mess with the outter tub nightmare.

You’re not wrong, but it’s generally better for most average DIYers to pull the cabinet off for leak checks. Building on your second point, having the cabinet off will allow for a more precise detection of an exact leak location - especially tub cracks!
Also, I’ve had a few washers that only leaked when they were running!

That is the water inlet valve, it comes as an assembly on these washers. Use the model number on your washer to find the specific part

Thanks. Can I leave the electical power on to remove the top part? If the lid connector is dis connected is it really needed to have the power off? When making the jump connector the power is on? I have an oldie but goodie Kitchen Aid top loader direct drive. It's leaking from the bottom. My faucets are siezed in the on position. I am concerned if I unplug the power it might mess with the water inlet valve assembly and trigger a flood. I poured a few buckets of water into the machine with the power off and it started leaking. Any suggestions? F.rom this old lady from S.CA? I sure would like to have a look see into my machine.

Always a good idea to disconnect power when disassembling/assembling machines. Especially when making a jump in the circuit. You can also turn off your house water at other valves. Pulling power won’t mess with the inlet valves, though. With power disconnected and cabinet off, you can also simply inspect for cracks in tub, holes in drain tubes, etc.

whats to say there isnt some sort of back pressure do to pump failure or lint collection causing the clamp to fail, I would go deeper? Why not replace or atleast pull the hose to check for dirt ?? Great video but come on go deeper into it instead of just assuming a clamp is weak.. No offense just troubleshooter to anther troubleshooter

I have this exact washer and these instruction did not work for removing the control panel. Inserting putty knives on both side & pushing clips seems correct but no way is the panel "pulling forward and twisting up"!

Why in God's name wouldn't you check for dirt, lint and blockages that slow the drain pump and shorten it's life?? You got it all apart and you're like "problem solved!" temporarily.....
