It's an ICE rather than a complete power unit
My guess is they have turned the engine to full power and therefore engines are wearing out faster

@@scienceByV don't count on it. Supposedly the new ICE Mercedes has is a stronger design to let them run PU harder and longer. More likely to see Mercedes to win 80% of the remaining races than DNF any of them due to engine failure.
@@ishaangupta4125 Exactly this!In the last gp they only cared about how it was possible for the Redbull not to win.The easiest way was to push Valteri's engine over the limit.They don't care about the next race or how many engines they are going to use.They don't care about the penalty.The wear on Valteri's engine was huge but for the particular gp his engine was the stongest,that's why Max couldn't even stay close to Valteri.

A friend though they just tuned the engine to push it harder, which might explain the amount of engine wear and speed they have now.

That Haas was skating on a full throttle and high downforce corner. Hopefully the lack of overall performance of this year's car is cured towards next year.
Those Mercs look rapid. Let's hope that this isn't the real pace difference because if so this championship battle is pretty much done.

Well they always did it in 2017 and 2018...so idk why this would be different.
@@miggyaviles005 nah, in 2017 and 2018 the Ferrari was on par or ar least close for the entire season. It was largely due to Vettel just collapsing, unreliability, and other factors. The car's performance was not the problem those years.

With the car he's provided with and his talent he always manages to be in top 5-7 most of the time, great to see that.

I really hope that means he gets a seat in F2 in 2022. Something he deserved this season but didn’t get unfortunately.
This season he was arguably better. In a way weaker team and still managed to finish 7th in the championship. He could end up taking Dan ticktum's spot in Carlin if he doesn't return to f2, Logan just took his academy seat so it would make since for him to replace him in f2 as well.
RB a full second behind the Merc. Was an entertaining season while it lasted.

Yea, 2019 Ferrari flashbacks 😆. I highly doubt Mercedes would do illegal other than taking advantage of a fia clause. Could be a nice conspiracy theory to discuss.
No they didn't. Even Red bull asked for inspection from FIA and FIA denied of Mercs using any illegal gains. Redbull adviser then also said Merc didn't use anything illegal it is just that " we need to gain more pace otherwise it would be problem in the following races for us". So basically, Merc's engineers made a better more powerfull engine compared to Redbull engineers, that's the reality. Accept it or not, it's your choice

A suspension is supposed to flex hahaha. It's why they exist. Even on your road car the suspension flexs haha. If the car goes lower the faster it goes it's because the downforce continues to increase relatively to the car's speed, so it pushes the car lower. It's basic physics everyone should know before commenting on a F1 video.

Who now watches most of their sports content via RUclips, slightly not in real time, but when your ready to watch it?
I did for years, but Im now looking for alternatives because I'm sick and tired of RUclips and their obnoxious and relentless ad pushes. When I start a video, when I finish a video, every time I go to write a comment (i swear they put 3-5min ones in cause they know I cant skip them while typing on mobile), every 3 or 4 minutes - more ads. Every 6 months they make it longer before you can skip... if you can skip at all.
Latest change is the worst and also last straw for me. This service isn't worth the time wasted and definitely not worth the data they must rack up if im not on WiFi.

Mathematically possible, but Max and Lewis only need to average about 6th (iirc) over 6 races to make a Bottas championship impossible.
Imagine Max and Lewis DNF for all the remaining races and Bottas wins the championship

Have you watched “the race” RUclips channel? They clearly explain why Mercedes is very fast now, they use 100% of their engine power to sacrifice reliability and they use special cooling to get maximum pace out of it.
@@t.d6379 or maybe Merc is turning their engine upto a higher mode thus why Bottas has taken so many penalties. This FP1 and COTA is generally a track where Merc dominated.

Deja vu. Haven't we seen anything like it before? Ohh wait, 2019 Ferrari... After Summer Break, Ferrari upgraded the engine and beat everybody, but in this case on USGP the FIA regulated Ferrari on the advice of Mercedes. In this season Mercedes do the same thing and nobody cares, full legal according to FIA. Thats ridiculous.
