yeah they got back together nearly one year ago, they've released a new album which is quite different to their old stuff but is still good.
Best band ever. Hands down. Not their best song from the album IMO, but still awesome.

I personally love Rise's band list. I listen to their playlist while i'm doing my college work and when it pops up to a song like this, I just kinda stop and relax a bit! I like how they differentiate their music! Music gets boring listening to the same thing over and over again, and to strengthen your musicianship, you need to listen to all music! I like em! :)

amazing work, I started hear this band around 10 years ago.. this isn't the started sound, because all the bands have a maturation process... this is a great new sound, sound great, the people who start to hear this band now, never be able to understand what it feels an old fan..

He should have verified more because you can only assume what he meant. I personally think he meant this is a bad core band because of no breakdown; not all metal has breakdowns and if ' real ' extreme metal has a breakdown it's considered to be a slam. I don't agree with what he said, he just proved he knows nothing about core bands with that statement; I don't think it was directed towards all genres of metal.
they have their own unique sound, if you're referring that they sound like the indie version of one direction, you're way way off because they're a mix of melodic, pop punk and hardcore. One Direction is just a group of lads singing with no instruments and jumping on stage and if they suck, maybe they shouldn't have been signed to Rise but they are
They still have Dance Gavin Dance, Rescuer, Further Seems Forever, Emarosa, Hot Water Music, The Air I Breathe (who just broke up) Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens and Palisades. Also "musical sense and actual melody"? Perhaps learning what either of those are would be suitable instead of jumping on a bandwagon

You say you only listen to one type of bands: bands with breakdowns. You must hate pop music then. >>> You're just like them, you don't distinguish the good from the bad, they important thing in metal is the lyrics, etc... not the breakdowns. Listen to MeMaFi and you'll know.

Pop-punk can have Emo leanings and tendencies. It's not just the way the music sounds it's the meaning behind the lyrics as well.
Open your eyes to new music genres, don't just like one kind of music or you will be closed-minded to more things than just music.
