Too many religions teach that God demands that we work towards our goal to be saved and that is non-biblical.

I was not surprised with the information you shared from Reddit. I think we’re all waiting to see what’s next with the watchtower. With all the lawsuits coming down upon them they need to make changes to avoid more lawsuits, the blood issue being a big one, and all the trauma to children. I would never go back!!!

I think that churches, guys in “power”, business-“faiths”, have taken the GOOD News of Christ which is simple and extremely LOVING, and turned it into fear. Fear is what people FEAR: Hell. It was 61 years for you, and 40 years for myself, and so many years for Ali. How can this woman take the word of a total stranger as fact. This only shows she has poor judgment. She forgets that early Cristians had a governing body. All organizations, Cristian or not have one or several boards of directors. Certainly they have different names. It’s not a wonder she failed to mention her new religion. Of course not, she said freedom from Christianity. This is because she refuses anything Biblical, correct or not. Only because a shoe doesn’t fit your foot, it doesn’t mean it’s not a shoe. Too many people criticize the organization because they don’t report chid abuse. For one, no one knows if they did or not as that is a private issue. Second of all, they are criticized because they think they are judges. However, people want them to judge an accused. It is up to the parents to inform the authorities, and let them decide as this is not just a moral issue, but a legal one. If that person is found guilty by first the law, then the organization can now do its moral part. No one in the organization has the power to just know if a person is guilty or not. After all, as known, they are not Jesus. People want them to be like Jesus, mind readers, and judges when it comes to an accused. However, don’t want them to do anything about a (confessed) adulterer or fornicator. I said confessed because even at that, they do not investigate. Unless it’s already out in the open. Too many things get twisted by disgruntle X JWs because they didn’t get their way. Most of them know this is true. This is why they don’t join an other religion once they are kicked out.

Totally agree with your take on that! I would never go back for so many reasons. 1st and foremost, they teach a false gospel. They sideline Jesus and there is no Holy Spirit working there. Without the work of sanctification within believers, they will never rid themselves of the major sin struggles that continue to be hidden behind closed doors in so many households of JWs.
My heart goes out to you, my dear sisters, for enduring such a difficult experience. While my own journey within the organization has been somewhat different, I find myself at a point of distancing, yet still observing and learning from a distance. In recent weeks, I've undergone significant shifts in my beliefs, almost as if I've "awoken" to a new understanding. I've come to realize that Jesus' kingship isn't in the past, and 1914 isn't the pivotal year as once believed. Instead, I see His kingship as a future reality. There are many teachings of the organization that I find myself at odds with, prompting me to delve deeper into the Scriptures, seeking guidance from God Himself. Despite this, I must acknowledge the role they played in grounding me in the truth about Jehovah and Jesus. They have contributed to the foundation of my faith, for which I'm truly grateful. My love for Jehovah burns fervently within me, and I pray that you, dear sisters, will continue to hold onto that love and follow Jesus above all else, even if it means distancing yourselves from the organization.
To hear my JW mother say that she loves me when she has been open about not having a daughter for 40 years; it would not be genuine love and she is so damaged, she doesn't own her own mind. Recovery from this Cult, takes years and the damage never leaves us completely. I would never want to go back to that! I'm a rebel and I enjoy being one. I engage in positive disruption and a such I am a bad fit for this cult, however much it changes, and I am glad that I am.

The older lady said why go back to the Hebrew scriptures. The Greek scriptures are a replay of the Hebrew scriptures. Everything that our Messiah quoted was from the Hebrew scriptures. And we also left the cult and never looked back. I had a brother die at eleven years of age due to the cult's no blood rule back in the early 70's. A few years later my mother took her life. Good for you to lovely ladies for waking up, I's not an easy thing to do as I found out after we left. I came to know J.W in 1989 I was always sitting on fence leaving going back to it most of the time. I made complete decision in November 2021, I made known to them in January 2022 because they found out i was celebrating Christmas because elders seen on Facebook. They phoned me to say they have to call to have chat with yI said no I have finished for good. I have never looked back since. I feel more relaxed and happier.
If I was instantly reinstated as if nothing (oh jolly) ever happened, I’d never go back. I would simply wait for my JW brother to love me, his sister. No more “Apostate” scarlet letter. But I would sue the WT for all and everyone I lost. Would they restore my family? My husband? My home? Would they apologize? Would they beg my forgiveness for hurting me for saying I’d save my children if they needed a blood transfusion? Would they make-up somehow to the little children who sat isolated and crying outside of classes celebration a birthday or Xmas? I’d never go back to that cave where birds can’t sing but all bats hang upside down in the dark and screech. That’s just me. I think other people would absolutely demand Justice. Look what they have DONE!

The the reality is we should have been his Witnesses not his Father ! Jesus himself said this at Acts 1: 8 . This is the most important reason I left and yes there are many more . So after 55 years as one of JW’s and serving at Bethel I am now free and I can promote the Christ as the way the truth and the life, I am his Witness now to the praise and glory or his Father. Jehovah gave everything to his son and we must honor him and glorify him. I will bend my knee to the my lord and savior Christ and truly kiss the son and for the first time in my life stop judging anyone and loving everyone. Dignifying the lives of everyone we come in contact with as Jesus would have. It has been and will always be about Jesus. I’m sorry for not recognizing this truth for so long. Jehovah wants the focus to be on his son and the Bible is about his son the revealing of him the sacred secret! I now am one of “Christs Witnesses” and will remain as such till I join him as part of the Bride of Christ to the praise and honor of his Father Jehovah God. No one comes to the Father accept through Christ!

My wife and I have over 100 years as Jehovahs Witnesses and 50 years in full time service but now the real journey begins. We are both called and chosen and finally now we are free. Those who have lost loved ones to this policy will be gutted. What a waste of emotional trauma. Kind of hard to believe those changes would happen. The jubilee reason to forgive disfellowshipped people is typical of Watchtower however. They refer back to the old testament for their policies more than they should as followers of Christ.
Me and my sibling experience was different with the witnesses when our mother passed away. The elders were not there for us, but the ones we grew up with were. Me and my sibling all left the religion more than 30 years ago. I still have friends that I grew up with that are witnesses. I refuse to be an angry person and demonize others that did the same thing I did. I would never, ever go back!

I think it’s pretty clear that watchtower is making changes to policies to keep as many in the org as possible.
I was not surprised with the information you shared from Reddit. I think we’re all waiting to see what’s next with the watchtower. With all the lawsuits coming down upon them they need to make changes to avoid more lawsuits, the blood issue being a big one, and all the trauma to children.

All organizations, Cristian or not have one or several boards of directors. Certainly they have different names. It’s not a wonder she failed to mention her new religion. Of course not, she said freedom from Christianity. This is because she refuses anything Biblical, correct or not. Only because a shoe doesn’t fit your foot, it doesn’t mean it’s not a shoe. Too many people criticize the organization because they don’t report chid abuse. For one, no one knows if they did or not as that is a private issue. Second of all, they are criticized because they think they are judges. However, people want them to judge an accused. It is up to the parents to inform the authorities, and let them decide as this is not just a moral issue, but a legal one. If that person is found guilty by first the law, then the organization can now do its moral part. No one in the organization has the power to just know if a person is guilty or not. After all, as known, they are not Jesus. People want them to be like Jesus, mind readers, and judges when it comes to an accused. However, don’t want them to do anything about a (confessed) adulterer or fornicator. I said confessed because even at that, they do not investigate. Unless it’s already out in the open. Too many things get twisted by disgruntle X JWs because they didn’t get their way. Most of them know this is true. This is why they don’t join an other religion once they are kicked out.

Totally agree with your take on that! I would never go back for so many reasons. 1st and foremost, they teach a false gospel. They sideline Jesus and there is no Holy Spirit working there. Without the work of sanctification within believers, they will never rid themselves of the major sin struggles that continue to be hidden behind closed doors in so many households of JWs.
My heart goes out to you, my dear sisters, for enduring such a difficult experience. While my own journey within the organization has been somewhat different, I find myself at a point of distancing, yet still observing and learning from a distance. In recent weeks, I've undergone significant shifts in my beliefs, almost as if I've "awoken" to a new understanding. I've come to realize that Jesus' kingship isn't in the past, and 1914 isn't the pivotal year as once believed. Instead, I see His kingship as a future reality. There are many teachings of the organization that I find myself at odds with, prompting me to delve deeper into the Scriptures, seeking guidance from God Himself. Despite this, I must acknowledge the role they played in grounding me in the truth about Jehovah and Jesus. They have contributed to the foundation of my faith, for which I'm truly grateful. My love for Jehovah burns fervently within me, and I pray that you, dear sisters, will continue to hold onto that love and follow Jesus above all else, even if it means distancing yourselves from the organization.

To hear my JW mother say that she loves me when she has been open about not having a daughter for 40 years; it would not be genuine love and she is so damaged, she doesn't own her own mind. Recovery from this Cult, takes years and the damage never leaves us completely. I would never want to go back to that! I'm a rebel and I enjoy being one. I engage in positive disruption and a such I am a bad fit for this cult, however much it changes, and I am glad that I am.

The older lady said why go back to the Hebrew scriptures. The Greek scriptures are a replay of the Hebrew scriptures. Everything that our Messiah quoted was from the Hebrew scriptures. And we also left the cult and never looked back. I had a brother die at eleven years of age due to the cult's no blood rule back in the early 70's. A few years later my mother took her life. Good for you to lovely ladies for waking up, I's not an easy thing to do as I found out after we left. I came to know J.W in 1989 I was always sitting on fence leaving going back to it most of the time. I made complete decision in November 2021, I made known to them in January 2022 because they found out i was celebrating Christmas because elders seen on Facebook. They phoned me to say they have to call to have chat with yI said no I have finished for good.
I have never looked back since. I feel more relaxed and happier.

If I was instantly reinstated as if nothing (oh jolly) ever happened, I’d never go back. I would simply wait for my JW brother to love me, his sister. No more “Apostate” scarlet letter. But I would sue the WT for all and everyone I lost. Would they restore my family? My husband? My home? Would they apologize? Would they beg my forgiveness for hurting me for saying I’d save my children if they needed a blood transfusion? Would they make-up somehow to the little children who sat isolated and crying outside of classes celebration a birthday or Xmas? I’d never go back to that cave where birds can’t sing but all bats hang upside down in the dark and screech. That’s just me. I think other people would absolutely demand Justice. Look what they have DONE!

The diminishing of the Christ and his authority is why I left (primarily). The the reality is we should have been his Witnesses not his Father ! Jesus himself said this at Acts 1: 8 . This is the most important reason I left and yes there are many more . So after 55 years as one of JW’s and serving at Bethel I am now free and I can promote the Christ as the way the truth and the life, I am his Witness now to the praise and glory or his Father. Jehovah gave everything to his son and we must honor him and glorify him. I will bend my knee to the my lord and savior Christ and truly kiss the son and for the first time in my life stop judging anyone and loving everyone. Dignifying the lives of everyone we come in contact with as Jesus would have. It has been and will always be about Jesus. I’m sorry for not recognizing this truth for so long. Jehovah wants the focus to be on his son and the Bible is about his son the revealing of him the sacred secret! I now am one of “Christs Witnesses” and will remain as such till I join him as part of the Bride of Christ to the praise and honor of his Father Jehovah God. No one comes to the Father accept through Christ!

Those who have lost loved ones to this policy will be gutted. What a waste of emotional trauma. This is SOOOOOO interesting! It's an exciting prospect for me, as the JW's are a whole people group with whom I have not been able to have what I call "The conversation". I would totally love to have them stop at my door and be willing to come in, sit down , have a cup of coffe, and talk about their (and my) life experience as we are coming to know God. Me and my sibling experience was different with the witnesses when our mother passed away. The elders were not there for us, but the ones we grew up with were. Me and my sibling all left the religion more than 30 years ago. I still have friends that I grew up with that are witnesses. I refuse to be an angry person and demonize others that did the same thing I did. I would never, ever go back!

Thanks. The awakening of many is at hand. The parousia seems to come soon. The housemaster will be overturned and the true christians, the ones who believe that Jesus is their leader and Master and Lord will get their rewards . What an amazing time this is. The WEF and the WHO want desperately change humankind into a kind of slaves and robots. And the organisation seems to comply. But our Father will change the difficulties into salvation for the anointed ones and then the great crowd. All have to wash their clothes into the blood of Jesus.
