Ali, you have demonstrated the truth of Jesus' words: “Be on your guard against men, for they will hand you over to local courts and they will scourge you in their synagogues...“However, when they hand you over, do not become anxious about how or what you are to speak, for what you are to speak will be given you in that hour; for the ones speaking are not just you, but it is the spirit of your Father that speaks by you.” (Mt 10:17,19, 20) You spoke very well and gave them a thorough witness. Jesus constantly condemned the Pharisees for one thing over all others: Hypocrisy. They thought themselves to be the most righteous of men, but they were hypocrites. These men, by their words of condemnation, show the world that they consider themselves to be the most righteous of all Christendom, yet their hypocrisy was made manifest by you when you referred to the 10-year Watchtower/UN affiliation. They say that your decision to get baptized by someone not a witness meant you were disassociating yourself, by JOINING YOURSELF TO UNBELIEVERS. If we accept their logic that a single act of baptism nullifies your membership as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, what then where you to engage in a 10-year-long joining with the organization they call "the image of the wild beast". Why do they prosecute you, but do not accept that BY THEIR OWN RULES the Governing Body and high ranking members of the headquarters staff have disassociated themselves by JOINING THEMSELVES TO UNBELIEVERS? You bore them witness just as our Lord did to the religious leaders of his day. It is interesting how the words you quoted from Matthew 7 resonate. Those who are declared as "workers of lawlessness" by our Lord are caught off guard by his denunciation. They go to him in the time of judgment fully convince they have done all he asked and been loyal and true. I kept pointing out the literature to them that what they were doing was not theocratic. Did they come up with another bullshit argument, no brothers, this is not what the literature says, why don't you follow the literature and bethel's instructions? I've never been a witness but I am being shunned anyway. When our mother passed away she told me she would see her again and I wouldn't. That's what prompted me to look into this religion to find out if they had the truth, and oh my I certainly found out about the truth about the truth. I'm surprised that this step hasn't already been taken somewhere by a disfellowshipped person. As most JWs are poorly educated and have no friends outside the organisation, it might explain why it hasn't happened. I’m so glad that you did record that. The elders disgusted me but I’m really proud of you. You handled that so well. I know I would never be able to do what you did and that’s one of the reasons that I would never meet with them. The main reason is that I have ptsd so bad that I can’t even think of getting near a Kingdom Hall. I’ve had so many nightmares of being in that building that I won’t even go near the driveway. I used to be an elder myself, at Bethel also, and I used many of the same reasoning points that you did before I ended up leaving. But I had a really hard time keeping my cool like you did. What was the point of this meeting? If its not a judicial meeting, if they didn’t want to explain any beliefs, if they had already decided to disassociate/disfellowship you under the grounds that you had already made the decision yourself....what was the need for this meeting???
God answered your prayer. He WAS with you in your meeting. You uplifted His Word. You uplifted Christ. THEY, on the other hand, uplifted ORGANIZATIONAL UNIFORMITY ....OVER the Word of God and OVER Christ. They were NOT listening to you with a Holy Spirit. They were exercising Authority over you, in the name of JW's company 'yes' men. You were saying, "I belong to Christ" but THEY were saying, "We belong to a religion'. They wanted to revoke your membership to their EXCLUSIVE CLUB because you placed yourself under GOD'S AUTHORITY instead of MAN'S Authority. Ali I too was baptized due to wanting to be baptized in the name of the father, son and holy spirit. I always felt that it should have been done that way as Jesus ordered. RE Elder Scott. My committee was two older men, elders I'd known at least a decade and one of my best friends (his wife too) from HS who was newly appointed. We had two meetings a week apart, I thought was for me to come up with more repentance. Instead, the meeting was turned over to the my young friend to read to me from a Watchtower volume the riot act and pronounce me DF'd. What a sad way to break in a new elder. Some years later his own daughter was DF'd and he stepped down.
Wow unbelievable, truly hateful and judgmental, man leading organization, no natural affection, no holy spirit. Can't believe not even a pray to God for holy spirit, just the watch tower rule book. A "change of heart" looks like this: You really miss your friends and family, so you come crawling back, telling them how wrong you were and that you've seen the light and fully embrace every one of JW's teachings, and will never question any of their beliefs ever again. And once again, you are embraced and showered with love. Yup, your choice. You can do this any time you like. Anyone raised in "the truth" knows the right words. Don't do it! Don't break down! Specially because there was no video, we were left to rely on our hearing to get the feel of the room and I think that gave us a better perspective to their approach. You can feel their uncaring ways in which they spoke to you and were not interested in what you had to say. There was definitely no love from them. They are definitely the modern day Pharisees. The JW "elders" likely contacted the legal department and determined you being "Disassociated" is the best course of action for the Watchtower organization. You likely could not be "Disfellowshipped" by the elders but claiming you as being "Disassociated" by your actions will still accomplish what they want without having a "Judicial Committee" meeting.

Wow, when the Elder said he thought you were getting off course, it was telling. What you had said was so profound and the very truth of what it means to be participant in Christ's Church, or a part of his 'organization '. It as as if you had been speaking evil to them. They didn't know how to address it without going through their convoluted teachings of their two class system. I asked on a previous video why you went to this meeting and now it is clear. Well done. They mentioned that they were not Robots. Then why did they say that this was going to be a JC and then decide it wasn't? Did they have a bible text for that or were they merely making that decision because they felt this is the way the GB/FDS wanted them to handle it?
I have no idea if you even read these comments, I cannot imagine you having time to even, but I want to leave one anyway. I am in awe of how you handled yourself in that meeting. You didn't say anything that I could disagree with, but they certainly did. You held up a spotlight on them to mirror the hypocrisy, and apostasy, of these men and the organization as a whole, including all of the witnesses who sit in the Kingdom Halls and go along with this, in my view, they are the one's who have left off the faith that Christ and the apostles taught us through the scriptures. I am 70 years old, I am not disfellowshipped. But I have found out, that they are taking money out of the contribution box, and financing weapons of war, the chemtrails in our skies that if not stopped will kill all life on earth, we own 50% of the company that makes engines for drones, we finance the largest possessor and distributor of the most vile forms of pornography, Microsoft Bing and Google , this would include child pornography and bestiality, we own stock in Pornhub, that distributes pornographic videos, we own stock in gossip publications like Facebook etc. We own stock in Bank of America, Wells Fargo, who stole the homes from millions of people in 2008, and bankrupted entire nations. Think about this. If each member, of 8,000,000 witnesses, donated just one dollar per meeting, x 5 meeting per week, x 4 weeks per month, that is 165,000,000 per month completely tax and expenses free, cash money in their pocket, just imagine how much money that adds up to over the course of 100 years. It may not have started out that way, but it has become a cult. Any religious organization that does not allow their members to talk with other members or even family members, that my friends is a cult, any religious organization that changes it's beliefs regularly, and expects you to change yours, or you will be shunned, that is a cult. The reason that they do not want their members to get on the internet, or talk to each other, the entire reason for the disfellowshipping process, is to protect the contribution box. If the average Jehovah's Witness knew where their contributions were really going, they would stop contributing, and the governing body simply cannot have that, so anyone who steps out of line, is disfellowshipped as fast as possible, and there is no attempt to reinstate them, once Pandora box is open, it cannot be closed, and they do not want anyone, who has learned the truth about the organization, to come back in, it would be impossible for anyone who has learned of their hypocrisy to keep their mouth shut. Th JW attitude is to always talk down to people. Which is not an attitude in line with Christ teachings. Keep your eyes on the Bible Truths and allow the Holy Spirit to direct you and lead you to understanding. The teaching on the faithful slave is a parable, not an order of hierarchy... I tried to explain to another witness how unreasonable and cold these meetings can be and I was told that I was reading too much into it, I was also told that I was not pre judged going into a meeting like that because of how loving this organization is. You kept trying to reason with them from the scriptures and they could only point to their organization which is constantly changing doctrine. Why cant being united in Christ simply mean that I recognize him as my saviour and am living in a way that shows gratitude. In no way have you denounced Christ and yet you are being treated as if you have! They put words in your mouth and said it was your voice. This brings back so many uncomfortable memories for me it nearly gives me a panic attack. The narrow minded rational and cutting and pasting scriptures to fit. RE Elder Scott. My committee was two older men, elders I'd known at least a decade and one of my best friends (his wife too) from HS who was newly appointed. We had two meetings a week apart, I thought was for me to come up with more repentance. Instead, the meeting was turned over to the my young friend to read to me from a Watchtower volume the riot act and pronounce me DF'd. What a sad way to break in a new elder. Some years later his own daughter was DF'd and he stepped down.

I loved the question "when the bible and the literature differ who are we supposed to go to?" that very question is why I left the watchtower.
Ali, you presented yourself in a respectful and loving fashion to this “nonjudicial” meeting. I can’t get over how cold and un-Christ like their approach to you was. Specially because there was no video, we were left to rely on our hearing to get the feel of the room and I think that gave us a better perspective to their approach. You can feel their uncaring ways in which they spoke to you and were not interested in what you had to say. There was definitely no love from them. They are definitely the modern day Pharisees. Let this be just another confirmation that Christ does not have a part in this organization.

The JW "elders" likely contacted the legal department and determined you being "Disassociated" is the best course of action for the Watchtower organization. You likely could not be "Disfellowshipped" by the elders but claiming you as being "Disassociated" by your actions will still accomplish what they want without having a "Judicial Committee" meeting.

I have no idea if you even read these comments, I cannot imagine you having time to even, but I want to leave one anyway. I am in awe of how you handled yourself in that meeting. You didn't say anything that I could disagree with, but they certainly did. You held up a spotlight on them to mirror the hypocrisy, and apostasy, of these men and the organization as a whole, including all of the witnesses who sit in the Kingdom Halls and go along with this, in my view, they are the one's who have left off the faith that Christ and the apostles taught us through the scriptures. You were elegant, articulate , knowledgeable, well spoken, under complete control of yourself, and you held your ground and spoke truth to power. I truly appreciate your courage, and I admire you for having the guts to face down those men, when you could have taken the easy way out, and just not showed up. My deepest respect goes out to you. I am 70 years old, I am not disfellowshipped. But I have found out, that they are taking money out of the contribution box, and financing weapons of war, the chemtrails in our skies that if not stopped will kill all life on earth, we own 50% of the company that makes engines for drones, we finance the largest possessor and distributor of the most vile forms of pornography, Microsoft Bing and Google , this would include child pornography and bestiality, we own stock in Pornhub, that distributes pornographic videos, we own stock in gossip publications like Facebook etc. We own stock in Bank of America, Wells Fargo, who stole the homes from millions of people in 2008, and bankrupted entire nations. Think about this. If each member, of 8,000,000 witnesses, donated just one dollar per meeting, x 5 meeting per week, x 4 weeks per month, that is 165,000,000 per month completely tax and expenses free, cash money in their pocket, just imagine how much money that adds up to over the course of 100 years. It may not have started out that way, but it has become a cult. Any religious organization that does not allow their members to talk with other members or even family members, that my friends is a cult, any religious organization that changes it's beliefs regularly, and expects you to change yours, or you will be shunned, that is a cult. The reason that they do not want their members to get on the internet, or talk to each other, the entire reason for the disfellowshipping process, is to protect the contribution box. If the average Jehovah's Witness knew where their contributions were really going, they would stop contributing, and the governing body simply cannot have that, so anyone who steps out of line, is disfellowshipped as fast as possible, and there is no attempt to reinstate them, once Pandora box is open, it cannot be closed, and they do not want anyone, who has learned the truth about the organization, to come back in, it would be impossible for anyone who has learned of their hypocrisy to keep their mouth shut. Having 'heart' in what I called the truth is what kept me going until the veil was removed from before my eyes! That finished it, could no longer muster anything to continue a lie. I tried to explain to another witness how unreasonable and cold these meetings can be and I was told that I was reading too much into it, I was also told that I was not pre judged going into a meeting like that because of how loving this organization is. You kept trying to reason with them from the scriptures and they could only point to their organization which is constantly changing doctrine. Why cant being united in Christ simply mean that I recognize him as my saviour and am living in a way that shows gratitude. In no way have you denounced Christ and yet you are being treated as if you have! They put words in your mouth and said it was your voice. This video helped me to put into better perspective how ridiculous this organization is. Hang in there Ali.

I left quite deliberately around 1987-1988. In 1992 "I saw the sign" for true when I read Crisis of Conscience.

You’ve made amazing points that they could not answer. These company men, because that is what they are, have no choice but to just always say the same thing. Can you imagine if one of them would have said. “Hey, you know she actually makes a valid point.” That elder now would be in the hot seat and they would have to have a meeting against him. Even if they don’t believe it and it makes absolutely no sense to them if they want to still talk to their families they have no choice but to regurgitate the same nonsense. Your point about a totalitarian regime like North Korea is exactly on point. In that country everyone has to say that they love the government and if they say something against it they are severely punished or even killed. Same with this religion.
