Finally a how-to video that shows how to do all the different methods to cut inserts. The printables I bought did not have any cutting lines.
Great tutorial. I will probably have to “play” with the paper in order to figure out where to cut it perfectly.
It definitely takes trial and error. There are so many ways to cut inserts. I think the important thing is to find what works best for you
Why in the WORLD do company’s use these BACKWARD cut lines? I’ve been planning for years and I can’t get these backward cut marks done right? Like; I love Marcia Vermucci’s calendar inserts more than any in the entire world. I CAN NOT deal with the backward marks. Why do they continue this when it would take one SECOND to fix them for EVERYONE?????????????? Thank you so much for showing me how to do it. I’m not doing that for a 365 page per day calendar insert but I did wonder what everyone else was doing? I can die at peace now ….. Now I know.
💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
really helpful,Thank you
Those Fiskars blades are great quality and they last a very long time. I use an A5 size planner and use printables for the majority of my inserts, which I usually use my guillotine cutter. But if I’m planning on-the-go / at a planer meetup, I will throw my Fiskars in my planner bag 😊
Thanks so much for this video! Very helpful!
I’m so glad you found this helpful 😊
Sad but true I am very much a line drawer. That's why I love PPC inserts so I don't have to draw lines. I tried it the way you showed and my brain said "Hell No" hope you have a great weekend!!
P.s. I just found your channel and am loving it.
😂😂 I laughed so hard at the “my brain said hell no” 😂 I agree. I love PPCo cut lines. It just makes so much more sense. Wish all shops did that. It would save us all a headache lol. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊🥰
Great tutorial! I used to do the pencil method because it never occurred to me to place the cutter at the cut line mark.
Thanks so much for this video, I'm new to rings so this is super helpful! 😍😊👍💖
Yay! I’m so glad you found it helpful 😊 Happy Planning
Thank you
Very detailed explanation
I use a guillotine cutter now which scares the you know what out of me everytime I use it lol. When I used the fiskars before and I would have those crazy cut lines, I would cut the top off first and then cut the half to detach both inserts. Then I found it easier just to use the ruler on the fiskars to finish off the insert.
Those guillotine cutters scare me so much! I cannot use one lol.
I love my guillotine. It's scary but it cuts so nice. My fiskars was always ripping paper.
This was SUPER helpful!!!
I am so glad it was helpful to you 😊
Well done on your tutorial! I would have let out a few cuss words myself 😂
😂😂
You are right that I never bought printable because I had no idea where to begin to cut, so this video is very helpful, thank you! Excuse the stupid question but why didn't you select printing on both sides from the printer?
I think I might try to get another fiskars cutter... mine cuts crooked if I line the paper up against the top. I've always had to have two cut marks "disappear" into the wire in order for it to be straight. But that's a good idea for how to handle the dopey outside cut marks.
Even if you get a fancy duplex printer, you need to play with it a bit to understand which way the paper feeds and what settings to use. I've had to print two pages on top of each other (dot grid on top of a cute background for example) or I wanted two different things on the front and back.
Oh goodness. Thats not good that your cutter is all wonky and crooked. I played and played with how to cut the weird cut marks that everyone uses and that was the best solution for me 😊
Just use a metal ruler , a cutting mat and a scalpel , much cheaper and takes less space.
Hi Tiffany, great video! I just found this, can you please tell me if this is just a black ink or color and black? Thank You
