    I have wasted so much paper due to epic failures in my attempts to print front and back. I actually stopped trying because I just couldn’t get it right. Your tutorial has helped immensely. I now know exactly what I was doing wrong. I also like your tip about the crop marks as I was always cutting them completely off. Thank you so much for taking the time to show how to print correctly ❤️

    Under the “pages to print” section, if you click the more options drop down it should give you the option to print odd or even pages only. Then you don’t have to type in individual pages numbers. 😊

      Thank you so much, I appreciate that!! I use a mix of both 20lb & 28lb. The 28lb I like to use for certain reference inserts that’ll stay in my planner a long time and my monthly overviews bc they stay in a while too and have lots of writing on them, so I like them to last better. For everything else I use 20lb, things I know that won’t stay long in my planner, notes dailies etc. 😁 I love 28lb but that paper is more expensive and it also would fill my planner too quick and I wouldn’t fit as much in it hahaha.

    I am wanting to start using a ringed planner system; love your video of how to print your pages. I guess I need to decide on the ringed planner first before buying pages to print. Which one would you suggest for a beginner like me?

    • @planwithbee5846
      @planwithbee5846  2 года назад

      Hi! When it comes to ring planners there are multiple things to take into account. The biggest thing is the size. There are quite a few different sizes available for ring planners. I always suggest downloading some free planner inserts (I offer some on my website planwithbee.com and other people offer freebies as well) print those out and test writing on them to see which insert size you prefer. If you already know the size you like then you can start looking for an actual ring planner (the cover). The rings inside are also important in size depending if you like to stuff your planner or if you don’t need a lot. I use 25mm rings which work perfect for me. Many people love 30mm because you can fit more. Some use even way less like 16-20mm. These can always be changed out but is sometimes a pain depending on the planner. There are so many different planners out there. You can find really inexpensive ones at crafts stores, chain stores etc but they are typically faux leather and only offer a few common sizes. On the other side of that you can go with a really high quality expensive ring planner from like VDS, gillio, etc but they get pricey. Some of my favorite brands that have lower prices but still great quality are MOTERM & FILOFAX. depending how big the planner size is these vary in price. But are great for starting out if you want something nice without the super hefty price tag. You can also find great Etsy shops who handcraft ring planners both faux and real leather. You can also buy from buy sell trade groups on Facebook. There are lots of options out there. I would start by figuring out which insert size you like best though first so you don’t end up buying planner after planner because you don’t like the size. Also, a little tip, if you like smaller sized planners like pocket or a6, having the full length back pocket on those is super helpful. Another tip- personal size (and personal wide) is the most popular because it is sort of the medium size of all planners. I love true A6 best because it is super portable while offering me the space I need. A6 is what you see in all my videos over the past year +. I hope this helps! :)

    How do I figure out how to put my pages in order so that it will print correctly in booklet format? I purchased a lot of inserts, but there is one specific thing I need daily for work and I need it dated. I ended up having to make it myself. I just cant figure out how to put it in order to print it correctly booklet style. :(

    • @planwithbee5846
      @planwithbee5846  2 года назад

      Hi! Oh that can be confusing for sure LOL. It depends if they are 1 page spreads, 2 page, if they have note pages, etc etc. If you have other inserts that are booklet style that you purchased that have the same spread, you can look at the download and see the order they are in. 🥰 Hope this helps :)

    Thank you. Very helpful. I’m a newbie. How do you get 2 A6 pages on one paper? Does it automatically download like that when purchasing A6 inserts?

    • @planwithbee5846
      @planwithbee5846  2 года назад +1

      Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching. As far as the download goes- it depends who you are buying from. Some people do one insert per paper some do more if they fit. For my shop I do 2 per letter sheet to not waste too much paper. (Except for A5 size because that only fits one to a sheet). :) So yes, the download was like that. 😊

    • @CampGurl12
      @CampGurl12 2 года назад

      @@planwithbee5846 for A5 or half letter, wouldn't it be possible to put two pages per sheet and no cut lines needed since they are literally half of the standard 8.5x11. Only cut needed is at 5.5 lengthwise.
      This is what I use and how I cut it.

    • @planwithbee5846
      @planwithbee5846  2 года назад +1

      @@CampGurl12 Yes absolutely. So for example in my shop for half letter it is 2 per letter sheet and the only "crop mark" is at the halfway point once printed so people know where to cut down the middle. For A5 in my shop I offer one per letter sheet because you can only fit one per letter sheet and I also offer 2 per A4 sheet of paper because that would be the size paper you would need to use that method of exactly 2 per sheet to cut down center for A5 inserts, again with a crop in center to know where the middle is to cut :) However, most people where I live use letter paper so for A5 it would only fit one but I know many in other parts of the world use A4 paper so both options are available with my downloads as of this year. :D

    How do you set them so that when printing they are perfectly aligned?? Because no matter what I do they don't align perfectly back to back and I've wasted a lot of papers.... • @planwithbee5846
      @planwithbee5846  9 месяцев назад

      I personally prefer to manually flip. Many printers seem to not flip pages well on their own so I like to print the one side then physically flip it myself and reload it.
      Make sure your print setting are the exact same each time so you don’t accidentally scale something differently and make sure it is selected on “actual size”.
      A big help I’ve found for myself is making sure the printer part where you reload the paper has the guides set tight enough. Not so tight that the papers don’t move but tight enough that they all align. If it’s ever so slightly off and you reload and it’s slightly to a different side, it won’t align perfectly.
      It takes lots of practice sometimes and just getting to know your printer. A lot of printers grab the paper so fast too that it moves it to the side so again making sure those tray guides are set to keep everything aligned. :)
      I hope this helps!
