Yeah I've mentioned this before. I think a lot of people are a little concerned about that avenue, just because Kevin Conroy was so beloved and people do not want to see him replaced, but I don't see it as replacing him. There obviously need to be successors to his amazing work in order to preserve and continue the characters existence for Batman. There have been plenty of voice actors for him, though. I argue Kevin is the absolute pinnacle of voice actor for the character, RCS was amazing and also I even thought Jensen Ackles did a fantastic job. I only want to see them return to this universe if there's something good to do with it,but if there is I would love to see that.

@@DegenerateJay I think any other projects should bring back Paul Dini. He seemed, to me, to be the backbone of the Arkham story continuity. My brother thinks they disrespect Origins because of its poorer numbers on release, and companies tend to focus on numbers as if nothing else exists. If you truly believe there would be good numbers for Origins, which I think there would be, I think it'd be advantageous to find away to prove and demonstrate undeniable numbers for specifically Origins. I don’t know what sort of thing could be arranged to show that.
Jeez, I'd love to see a Batman and Robin (Dick) sequel to origins, maybe a Nightwing Spinn-Off too.

Yeah, the downside is that they would probably not make the multiplayer on it or make you buy it.
Especially if they changed some of the problems with the game and improved them. I liked how you could fast travel in Origins if there was a remastered version of the game I would definitely play it and post it on my channel.

The profit incentive is the worst enemy of the preservation of videogames as a media. Companies time and time again make anti consumer policies with all different things. They ban people for emulating decades-old games that have been out of the market for years (Nintendo for example), they ignore old videogames with a solid fanbase only because they calculate that selling plushies or something is more profitable, they make online games scarce by removing the option to install them after some time etc.
We need a videogame community that is only focused on having fun and enjoying games in every way possible.

I think AC 1 deserves a remake much more rather than a remaster ! I’ve replayed that game recently and I still think that game hasn’t aged well in many many aspects, that game DESPERATELY needs a remake ! It’s a good game but it hasn’t aged well ! And the rumors saying they wanna remake AC IV 🙄🙄🙄

The argument that writers and actors "make enough money already, they're rich" which even if that were true, just because someone makes alot of money doesnt mean they are getting paid what they deserve and arent underpaid for the work that they do.

Arkham Origins is my favorite of the quadrilogy, and I actually found the multiplayer to be a lot of fun.

WB was told to make an entry in a game series that they hadn’t worked on before in order to keep franchise hype alive while Rocksteady worked on Arkham Knight and had to make a game at least as big as Arkham City in the same amount of time Rocksteady had to make the much smaller Arkham Asylum.
Tasked to make such a large game in a series they were unfamiliar with in a 21 month time frame it only made sense to reuse assets. Sure it would have been nice if it was was more original but given the time restrictions given by the higher ups (who wanted another game released two years after City) I wouldn’t complain about reused assets when they had this task forced upon them.
I seriously wonder what WB has against this game. Besides the bugs I thought the game was pretty good.
They probably have no one in there workforce that cares to advocate for it.

The game was nearly killed on arrival when it realised because purists claimed it wasn’t an Arkham game because Rocksteady didn’t it and/or Conroy and Hamill weren’t voicing Batman and Joker. That and the game was buggy as hell when it came out, though people cut Origins a break when Arkham Knight’s PC port came out and was possibly even buggier than Origins.
In short, while the game is pretty popular today, WB hasn’t forgotten (or is unwilling to let go of) how much everyone hated the game when it first came out, and wants nothing more to do with Arkham Origins even if opinions have changed for the better.
I met a lot of my friends on Arkham Origins Online. The amount of disrespect the game gets is so annoying.

What terrible timing, I was also looking to 100% the game on pc, and unless something changes it looks like that won't be possible anymore. Considering how many people have been making content about the arkham games over the years, it seems baffling that WB would try and sweep this game under the rug.
This echoes what is going on with Call of Duty and Activision. There is no upkeep with old COD servers and it is completely unsafe to play the games online on PC, due to hackers being able to download malware to your computer. People who have made community patches have been sent cease and desist letters for their hard work and contribution to maintain old, unprofitable games.
Why billion dollar companies like WB and Activision hate seeing their customers happy and continue to play their games and are actively ruining them is beyond me. This is even worse considering how ass Gotham Knights was, WB really has been driving the arkham franchise into the ground, which I'm sure is sad for all of us.
Similar case happened with Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Anyone who's played a Splinter Cell game knows that they have the Spies vs Mercs game mode that was very popular. For the longest time, there was this Discord channel with hundreds of member who would play the game almost everyday, and we'd do lobbies etc... But out of the blue, the servers started to not respond, so we decided to all together write up reports to their support system asking if they would check and fix the servers. A month ish pass and still no response, servers still down, so we managed to downgrade the Ubisoft app to an older version and run online lobbies through a third party program, which kind of fixed the issue, and we could enjoy playing the game mode again. To our surprise, a week after that, we all got warning e-mails saying that any further attempts to play online through an outdated Uplay program would result in an account ban lol. Imagine Ubisoft threatening to ban us for trying to play a multiplayer game that their new updates broke. They took faster to flag us for using an older version than to fix the actual game. The discord server is pretty much dead now which is so sad

Exactly, I've been thinking that for awhile now. Especially when it comes to live-service games. It should be a mandatory policy for game companies, "if your not willing to stick to your guns and keep the game alive, then DON'T make a live-service game".
How hard would it be to convert something near end of service life from server base to peer peer multi-player? That would be an answer for those companies if it's remotely feasible or even possible, though I seem to remember some games doing that in the past.
indeed, though i am wondering about the 1000s of games that came out in the wake of the online-multiplayer boom in the last 20 years with shoe-horned MP that SHOULD be it's own stand-alone product. I'm wondering how much better populated Metal Gear Online would be if it wasn't hidden inside a single-player Metal Gear Solid title every time... then they went and made Metal Gear Survive and totally missed the damn point of Metal Gear multiplayer...
They should just take this multiplayer, add more maps and characters, then release it as a standalone. Guarantee it'll be more popular than Gotham Knights
Probably not, the reason the majority hated Gotham knights is because it had a gear system and people automatically thought microtransactions and live service. If they did resell the online for origins people would complain about making an arkham game with no story, no Kevin and microtransactions. Society likes to bully game companies to make single player games unless it's Cod, any other properties that try to transition to live service gets review bombed and hated.

Just a thought, but maybe get a petition going to deliver to WBs asking for a Remaster of Origins, raise the point that with a Remaster of a 10 year old game it will have the support of its older customers as well as new players. I just wanna play as Deathstroke again 😅
I've been playing Origins online on and off for a couple years. Temporary outages are sadly pretty normal. Usually only a few hours, sometimes a day or two.
I don't know the technical details but as I understand it Origins online was officially terminated back in 2016 because of some contract issue with the servers. Because the physical servers are also used for some other games it was easier just to put a lock on Origins than to actually shut down the Origins part of the server.
They either don't know or don't care that the servers are still being unofficially used (which I think is more likely). Either way the Origins servers don't get proper maintenance attention.
EDIT:
Just remembered there's a guy working on making private servers for Origins Online. I don't know where he is with that project but last I heard it seemed to be going pretty well. If it works we won't have to worry about the official servers inevitably going down.

The private server is called Arkham Revived and from a quick scroll through the comments here and the discords it looks like it is functional.

This was the only one where Batman actually fought the villains. Croc, Bane, Deathstroke. Lady Shiva? Forgot who the female was...he fought more bosses, I should say, in this one, than he did in the other games. I'd love for them to make it digital and playable on series X.
This was my favorite MP game.. I haven't been able to play it in years and I really, REALLY miss it.
As a Batman fan, I think the multiplayer had a lot of potential. I bought Arkham Origins for the multiplayer primarily (wasn’t feeling the prequel story), and was unfortunately barely able to play due to how broken the search engine was. If they fixed it up, and continued to add content, I really do think it would have been very successful.
It was difficult to populate a room to play but I always fired off game invites and it usually worked. I really miss that game, I loved it! @@Zoogi.e

I’ve recently replayed and finished the first 3 Arkham games and I was shocked that Arkham city became my least favorite!!!!!!!!! It had always been my fav 😂 and ironically origins has become my fav ! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 SHOCKING!! And the fact what WB does towards this game is just disgusting 🤢

It seems like people are finally starting to realize how great Arkham Origins was. It has some of the best boss fights in the entire series, the voice acting is phenomenal, it has some of the coolest cutscenes in the whole series, the christmas setting is amazing. It’s just an awesome game.
I love Batman Arkham Origins and tbh, it's probably my favorite of the series. And I loved the multiplayer, it was a ton of fun, and honestly, I'd love to find a way to play that again, I've been replaying the game and I'm loving it. I'm playing it on PC now, so, I'm sure I can find a mod to play the multiplayer, but yea lol.
There's like a whole decade of stories and worldbuilding they could still go through between the events of Origins and Asylum, and that would give them an opportunity to do a real *Batman & Robin* type game, showing the origins, heh, of Dick joining Bruce's mission, him taking on his first real on the job partner, and how that shapes him from the end of Origins, where we see that he realizes he has to do more than just channel his rage at criminals, and how he gets to be the Batman we know in AA, AC, and AK.
If Origins got a next gen port sure, but this is an extra minigame mode in a game whose main selling point is a single player story. It's a miracle it didn't shut down 5 years ago, let alone now.

Honestly, I love the idea of the Arkham multiplayer. I’ve never gotten a chance to play it (I’ve been having some issues getting my PlayStation 3 to connect to the Internet) but I always thought it would be a really surreal experience.
If you end up playing as one of the henchmen, you were essentially have to fight the character you’ve been playing most of these games as. It’s fun to say “Mandy’s henchman are idiots, but another thing to actually plays at henchman and see if you can do any better.
Well, the same time if you’re playing as Batman and robin, it’s a greater challenge than the main game in someways, since instead of fighting against an AI, that you can easily anticipate, you know, I have to play against other players, who most likely are familiar with how Batman plays. They know not to stand under gargoyles, and to keep a lookout for grates that can be used against them.
And then, as the cherry on top, if you play your cards, right, you have a chance of playing as Joker and Bane.
All of this sounds really cool and honestly could’ve been a game. All lights are on, but I’m happy that it was packaged with a game I already love. (Even if I have yet to experience the multiplayer.)
So the fact Warner Bros. seems to want to everything in their power to make you forget the multiplayer and the rest of the game in general is kind of sad.

Try connecting to a 2.4GHz network, see if that works. If not, try checking the components inside the console.

Return to Arkham's performance on the base Ps4 and Xbone was disgusting. I find it surprising that i was able to platinum both Return to Arkham Asylum and City on it.
Xbox one X and Series X has 60fps (X Enhanced) but only in Riddler's revenge and Asylum's Challenge mode. (Asylum in Story was 45fps)

The Multiplayer has been dead (read: unplayabe) since launch in Australia. The platinum was never achievable Down Under, as far as I know. I was never able to join a game.

This just reminds me how a bunch of underrated games that had decent stories had multiplayer modes that most people will forget due to the fact that most of the still running servers are on 360 or ps3 servers that will almost never see the light of day again with my main point being origins, splinter cell blacklist and spec ops the line with the pc servers being basically dead and shut down years ago with the console servers still staying up with a small and dwindling player base
I like origins for the multiplayer, it’s the only Arkham game I never completed, but that’s because I was annoyed the game used assets from the older games including parts of the map.
However the multiplayer is sick, and I wish WB would reconsider because I wanted to buy this game again specifically for the multiplayer.
Also Someday I hope AI can replace shutting down multiplayer games, by using ai for replacements to real players

This is another puzzling thing abut WB Games. Shadow of Mordor had 1 online trophy/achievement, once the servers were closed, they actually patched the game to make the trophy be obtainable offline. Mad Max had an online scrap system where you'd earn scrap while NOT playing the game (which were tied to 2 challenges), when the servers closed, it made the challenge trophy/achievement unobtainable because you could no longer earn scrap and it was never patched. Mad Max is still for sale on the PSN Store for $25 (CDN) with a key feature removed from it's game. Why patch Mordor but not Mad Max? Why even bother having online features for single-player games?
Arkham origins is my favourite batman game.I wish wb just remastered it.
With Uncharted 2/3 servers gone its still possible to get the trophies because they had LAN modes which could be exploited to get online through xlink kai. The only true servers that are left on ps3 are pretty much only Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty Games. Cod devs can afford it but Battlefield devs made a 300 IQ move. They allowed servers to be RENTED. ON A PS3. You can literally hop on PS3 BF3 online and go into server rental and pay for it. This keeps both companies and players happy. Why not more devs thought of it is beyond me.
I liked origins, i thought it was a great game with great voice acting, it had the best boss fights (besides the mr freeze fight in city). A remaster of origins could kead to great sequels to that time line. But from what i see WB roesnt care anymore how things look, the new flash movie and the WB games coming out.

I agree with everything in this video. I went out of my way to play this game at 60fps buying an expensive laptop and everything years ago. Still couldn’t port it when doing return to Arkham? That’s why I didn’t buy it. It was my favorite of all the Arkham games. If they got it on the new consoles at 60fps I’d buy it day one.

Sad story my mom said she got this game for me for Christmas but never did so I never got to play at all. I remembered this game in my adult years 3 years ago so I bought to play on Xbox .Surprise never got to enjoy the multiplayer. Have watched a lot of people play it sad I’ll never get to. Be glad for your memories guys I fucking love all the Arkham games ,sad I’ll never get to play origin’s multiplayer.
I can't help the feeling in situations like this that they know a large number of people will prefer playing the older games more than the newer ones. It's happened with loads of EA titles for example. Especially I noticed this since they took over the F1 series. They are routinely now just removing the titles from as little as 2 years ago from Steam. The reason is obvious. I am still playing the 2019 version of their game, which I paid like $15 for and will never spend another penny on. And there is just so much DLC and "games as a service" BS in newer versions which gets worse as each year passes.
Tbh man, the multi-player ALONE in this game is so unique and they could make a Game or a sequel. It'll make money. Like Holy CRAP man! Moments like these makes me wanna go to school and become a business man or sm.

I do not understand why so many companies want to release games that are half cuz the people that buy those games tell other people that they're incomplete and the other people either don't end up buying it at all or they wait about 8 months for the game to be how it should have been at launch they would make more sales off the rip if they just gave us a completed game
Origins was on sale for $5 on Steam a couple days ago and I haven't had the chance to play the multiplayer before. I took the opportunity and bought the game a couple times to gift it to some friends, just for the multiplayer to stop working. I've been playing a lot of origins, and it sucks to know that there's a whole different section of the game I might not ever be able to experience, all because WB won't give the game the respect it deserves

WB messed up making Gotham Knights. They should of made the long rumoured Origins 2. Just think bout it. They could of released Origins 2 and Origins Remake. 2 separate products that would sell. And they could sold a double pack. They left so much money on the table.
More shocked the game is that old...makes sense the last one in the series was 2015.
Stupid I dunno why they don't just keep on making what sells but I guess they figured they'd just keep inline with the films.
But let's not kid ourselves origins was a lesser game in the series, art looked crappier, backgrounds looked crappier, and no Kevin or Mark.

I honestly don't know why WB hates Arkham origins so much they're releasing that series collection thing on switch and not including Arkham origins ideally all four games would be included well I guess five if you count blackgate but you know what but honestly I would have preferred the return to Arkham bundle plus a remaster of origins to be in the switch trilogy pack just because at least on console origins is locked on PS3 and 360 well and the Wii U
I'll say at the top I was never a huge fan of Origins. It's my least favorite of the games and the only one I've never replayed all the way through.
But it's a crime that the game has basically been treated like it doesn't exist. It's not a bad game. There are more than enough passionate fans to warrant it *at least* getting a remaster to be playable on modern consoles.
I am enjoying it on Xbox series x would been nice if it was part of the collection

I’m a new gen guy, so I never got to play arkham games on PS3/Xbox360 but guess what? No I can’t play origins
I just found out that online still work but there's no one in the lobby unless you work with the Discord people
Rockstar and WB are the same and always ruin theirs best games for no reason and the fact i need a disc just to play backwards compatible on Xbox one just doesn't make sense to me bring the Xbox 360 version back on the store at least am i wrong because i don't seem wrong
they should take the Gotham Knights servers down, that game is totally shit, they should take the entire Gotham Knights plan + all the Gotham Knights games on this planet, place it in a giant capsule and launch it directly towards the sun. ( never to be heard of again )
Batman Arkham Origins is one of my favorite Batman games . i know each mission out of my head without following any directions .
i do know these things with the other Arkham games to.
UNTILL I CAME ACROSS Gotham Knights ..., i couldn't bring myself to even finish the first 3 missions, full of bugs!
Don't get me started on the gameplay ( buttons are a total mess ) IT SUCKS !!!!!
Gotham Knights is a game they should take down !!! this is a mind rape on a huge scale and a patience rape aswell .
Overall you get raped from the moment you lay Gotham Knights into your shopping cart from the store .
Those people who created Gotham Knights should all be fired and hopefully never find work again in this business.
The same goes for BIO MUTANT, i knew that game sucked from the moment i took my first steps into that world.
I knew it was going to lose popularity, just like Gotham Knights, i even told the DEVS and i got a Ban for being salty inside the community .

I got 1 HUGE ADVICE for game company's !, IF YOU ALL FIND/CREATE A GAME that looks/is like the golden goose, don't pluck it's feathers, don't change a winning team.
they did change everything, it's getting a huge hate now, the witcher on netflix became a mess that way, superman became a mess,they screwed the batman franchise in a whole over, marvel universe makes me puge and DC comics turned gay.

I'm not a muliplayer gamer, but I love Arkham Origins. I hated Arkham Knight because it's just too difficult. I'm a casual gamer, and it annoys me to no end that WB refuses to release Origins for the PS5 or even the PS4. It makes absolutely no sense. They just want to market to "the Rocksteady trilogy". Well, for me, the "trilogy" is Origins, Asylum, and City. I don't want to have to plug in a PS3 just to play Origins again. I had a few issues with the story of Origins, but overall it's a very addictive game.
I’m not going to pretend like origins is without flaws, let’s say it’s definitely one of the best Arkham games (and one of the best superhero games in general). It doesn’t deserve to be brushed under the rug like this.
WB just stands for wasted botential
This game has been my favorite since release. Black Mask and the Deathstroke boss fight are some of the best parts of the series, not to mention the game has the best dlc, Cold Cold Heart.
Origins collectively had the best enemies and boss fights out of all the games. The only bad thing about it that comes to mind was it’s launch, which was rocky….but I loved the martial artist enemies, and the venom guys were okay too. No bosses on here probably top Mr Freeze, but in a top 10 best Arkham series boss fights, Origins would take up half the list or more, lmao and Arkham Knight wouldn’t have a single entry, seriously, wtf was with that game having zero boss fights?!?! Oh well lol
I don't think Zaslav is like Iger he is someone who seems to care about his properties he owns and wants to make money but I could be wrong. WB problems were there before Zaslav came along. Also many writers are responsible for the crappy content regardless of who's the CEO at the time or who the CEO now. Also I'm like Arkham origins it to me it felt like a stop gap it's just arkham city 1.5 to me done poorly. I know KNIGHTWING01 hates origins and blackgate as a Batman fan idk if he still does but idk. But that said I would like Arkham origins be preserve or remastered for current consoles even the multiplayer and maybe add some new skins to use like beware the Batman costume.
Personally, I loved the concept of Arkham Origin's multiplayer: a Batman-themed, three-team battle pitting the Caped Crusaders against the warring gangs of Joker and Bane.
The concept of a shooter game set in crime-ridden Gotham is heavily slept on, and the best we got apart from Origins was Gotham City Impostors.
Hell, WB could probably make a GTA-style game set on the streets of Gotham, with the ever present threat of Batman and his allies coming down on you hard at any given time.
