As Ado said in one of her streams: “I like the anonymity, I can freely go to cafes and karaoke bars where my music is playing, watch people’s reactions, and no one will suspect that I am right there” (paraphrased)
This is a song originally created by Vocaloid and not intended for humans. The story of a girl who wants to achieve love, first from her parents, then from a guy at school, but gets nothing and screams in disappointment.
In my understanding Vocaloid is not an AI it's a group of singers who are mysterious because they only use avatar to represent them. No one knows who they are or what they look like and Ado was one of them. Aishete Aishete song is one of their released songs now known as one of Ado's songs
I’m not gonna lie, Ado is definitely one of those rare artists where I prefer all of her live performances compared to her studio stuff. She really sounds incredible man. Though, her studio work is nothing to scoff at.
I know right! I listen to a lot of kpop and live performances are pretty identical to studio performances so it's really refreshing that Ado's live performances outdo her already amazing studio recordings.
from my understanding, the song is about a girl who yearns love and approval from those around her, in a morbid and obsessive way. she fears abandonment, so she behaves well in school and gets good grades to impress her parents. repeatedly, in the song, she asks "aren't i a good kid?" which ado whispers in her gentle, juvenile voice. she demands people to love her, everyone to love her, so much that she's willing to give up everything else for such love. but her feelings spiral down more and more, which ado expresses in screams and cries. i recommend her live version of usseewa and new genesis !
I went to Ado's show in New York earlier this year, and I can confirm that after many of the songs, the audience had to collectively catch our breath. "Tot Musica" was probably the best example of that; after the cheers died down, it was pretty much silent as everyone took a moment to recover.
I would be crying on the floor hearing tot musica in live, hearing it the first time during the movie had me shocked and absolutely gutted. I could only imagine my reaction hearing it live.
In Japan, "Vocaloid songs" using Vocaloid, music composition software developed by Yamaha and incorporating technology to synthesize voices from a voice bank, became so popular that they formed a genre, with some musicians making their big debuts. Vocaloid songs are characterized by the fact that when performed by virtual idols, there are no restrictions regarding breath control or lyric volume, making many songs unsuitable for human performance. However, there are singers who take on this seemingly impossible challenge and sing these songs. They have created a community and ADO is one of the most respected members of that community.
I was at this very concert in LA, and it was just as you said - even though I knew where every song was going I was still blown away by Ado's live vocal performance and stage presence. Even now when I listen to the album versions of some songs she performed, I can only hear the live version despite only having heard it one time four months ago. That's how powerful her performance was.
That concert really was incredible. Every track on the setlist felt entirely new even after listening to her Ready for the Show playlist on repeat! Glad to see another luck LA Concert goer was amazed as me
According to her interview: she began recording her songs from the age of 12 (she sang even before that), from the age of 14 she began posting recordings on RUclips and Nikoniko (the Japanese equivalent of RUclips), at 16 she was noticed by the Universal Music label, at 17 she sang and recorded in the studio the song Ussewwa, which became a No. 1 hit almost immediately.
I'd say niconico is a lot more than "the Japanese equivalent of RUclips". It has tons of features not available on any other site that really make it amazing for virtual collaborations between people. Vocaloid fandom and by relation, Ado, would not have existed without for the uniqueness of niconico.

Viewing her solely as a singer feels peculiar. However, she is a performer. She expresses the protagonist of the song through her dancing silhouette, singing, and vocal quality. She strives not to convey the singer's own voice, but to fully express the emotions of the song's protagonist. This difference is what I perceive. Since her style is new, interpretations have not yet been established, but perhaps this is what happens when a new form of expression emerges in the world, sparking discussions and interest.
title translates to love me, love me, love me, and she is begging to be Loved. Story is about an abused girl who is begging the people in her life to love her, to give her a purpose to keep living, at first her parents, then the men around her in the 2nd verse.
She really does care about the lyrics and puts nuances and emphasis on each syllable depending on its meaning. It's like she becomes another person each song, taking on and acting out feelings the imaginary character which is singing the song has. I've never heard another singer who can really act like this while singing. All the voice breaks, whispers, whistle notes, vibrattos and falzettos are right where they need to be. Not to sound good, but to show the feelings of the persona singing. Her hiding her identity is also in line with this. Don't look at me, but at what I become and represent.
I also like that with her approach (and others like her) there’s little to no ego involved. Their own songs and the e songs that they cover are not about them
Y'all NEED to see her sing Usseewa live, she's got it on her RUclips channel. It is BY FAR her at her most unhinged (In a good way). The cage isn't to protect her, the cage is to protect us lmao
Aishite was the first Vocaloid song to hit 100 million streams on Spotify and is the 4th most viewed Vocaloid on RUclips. You should watch the original Kikuo MV.
I got to watch the live concert, and hearing this song live (though not this particular live, cause she was on a world tour with the same setlist) I cried even without knowing the meaning of the words, she's that powerful in conveying emotions through her singing
"Love me, love me, love me!" is about an emotionally immature woman with some kind of issues and backstory maybe of childhood abuse? Either way, she is rejected by the man she chose to satisfy her needs... This is the understanding I gain from standard English translations of the lyrics. The writer and producer of this vocaloid song, Kikuo, seems to have specialised in songs around issues of mental illness and insanity.
i believe it's actually a child, a young girl who, for whatever reason (possibly, yes, abusive or neglectful parents) feels starved of love. she begs her parents for it, then to a boy at her school, but she doesn't feel loved by anyone, particularly the people she wants to be loved by. she's a child starved of love, that tries to act sweet and kind to get that affection, but ends up screaming in desperation when she doesn't get it
By the way, according to an interview with ADO. Her idol is Japanese rock legend and songwriter Shiina Ringo. Among Western performers, her influences were the recordings of the bands Quinn and Kiss (which she listened to as a child). She also loves the music of Bruno Mars, and often dances to it.
This is amazing ado 17 years old [debut song]=うっせぇわ lyrics is amazing 17 years old after that leap forward song=ギラギラ (Gira Gira) It's evolving amazing 17 years old By the way 罪と罰 If you like Tot Musica(ウタ from ONE PIECE FILM RED)is recommended
Ado's cover album, which includes "Godish", "unravel", "Crime and Punishment" and "Aishite Aishite Aishite", also includes a song called "kazari janai no yo namida wa". This was a big hit in the 80s in Japan. In this song, Ado does not add her usual Ado-style arrangement (roars, madness, etc.), but sings it calmly as if reproducing the original song as it is. If you want Ado that is not a rollercoaster, this song is recommended.
For a full-range Ado song, I recommend 'Tot Musica' from the One Piece anime movie. If what has been introduced so far is the pinnacle of shout-style vocals, this song will show you a completely different world. It's highly recommended as it can be seen as one of the pinnacles of Ado's vocal abilities.
Looking forward to the Ado Day in August! When you get to it, I hope you also take the time to react to a guide to Ado: "Japan's Biggest Singer Is A Faceless Outcast" AND/OR the more comprehensive video "A Helpful Guide to Ado pt. 2 *Updated/improved Version*" (the latter one you can stop at the 24-minute mark as most of the rest of the video goes over the vocal techniques she uses, which y'all already know). Neither guides have a lot of views, but they're absolutely amazing for getting to know Ado; send some love to them! ^^ In any case, thank you for reacting to Ado 💙
Looking forward to it! But the brackets after Ado in your title say "罪と罰" (Tsumi to Batsu), which is/means Crime and Punishment. Going after your other titles, I guess you wanted to write "歌いました" (utaimashita, transl. I sang), which is the indication in Ado's titles that it's a cover. Just wanted to let you know.
In terms of physical fitness, she constantly practices running and choreography. He also does not drink alcohol at all, soda or coffee. And, as she herself said, the singer should get a good night’s sleep.
Please set the action for the next review of Ado to 0. I won't explain in detail, but I guarantee that another world will open up. If you need any adjustments or further translations, feel free to let me know!
I'd totally recommend the English cover for this song by Juby Phonic! it's not as beautifully insane as Ado's but still really vocally amazing and you get the entire story with it! (also recommend listening with subtitles on because the person who edited them just went full on insane, it's amazing) and this isn't a reaction request, more so, I just want you to enjoy the lyrics and cover of Juby!
And by the way, ADO has created an idol group of 5 girls, of which he will be the producer. The group is called Phantom Suite. The author of this song, Kikuo, has already written a new song for them. Their style will be rock horror. They will be performing as an opening act at ADO concerts in the fall. So ADO is also a producer, I suspect that it will be successful.
Pronunciation LIKE, ahh.... AI=I(English) , SHI=Shi of Ship , TE=Te of Temp. and, Japanese language attaches a vowel to each sound, resulting in more syllables. For example, in English, 'film' is one syllable, but in Japanese, it becomes 'F(u) I L(u) M(u)' with four syllables. Therefore, it's helpful to consciously have a sense of adding vowels and syllables.
To listen to Ado without screaming: 1) 【LIVE映像】新時代 さいたまスーパーアリーナ 2022.8.11【Ado】 (It's live and a must listen.) These are music videos 2) 【Ado】風のゆくえ(ウタ from ONE PIECE FILM RED) 3) 【Ado】オールナイトレディオ 4) ADO "MIRROR" I also highly recommend her song Show Live Also, of course, Dignity Live, I’ll try to find it for you (there is a full disc with a recording of her concert)
Hi guys! I love your work, especially the videos on Ado. Can't wait to see the live. If you want to see a different side of her, try World Continuation. The feels are the same, but the vibe different. But if you want to see the same unhinged Ado, then Crime and Punishment is such an incredible song. If you will allow me the audacity to make some sugestions of different artists that I would love to see you react to (and hopefully the folks in the comment section will second me here), I would very much say Milet - Inside You / Anytime Anywhere - for Japanese singers and Einar Selvik and Trevor Morris - Vikings Suit. All the best, mates! love from Romania
On youtube she has a couple of interviews or joint music sessions with other people where she discusses her thought process and also she showed her personal notes that she uses to know how to sing a particular song. She is very meticulous, there is nothing random in how she sings.
I don't think she plans every move. Based on a live stream that she did about her own concert, she felt very embarrassed! and said "what is that? Why do you move like that? I think she just loves to sing, and for a long time she didn't want to do concerts. I think by keeping her identity a secret she can enjoy singing even in front of so many people. In her first concert she jumped, danced and enjoyed herself so much! Like the same you would do if no one was watching you.
It helps if you approach Japanese pronunciation similar to how you would Italian as in each vowel is seperate from each other, and vowels seperate consonants from each other
About screaming techniques. In Japan, many singers own them. I recently watched a video where a very kawaii girl singer (she and the model) sang a fun pop song, and then did a metal scream and continued singing in a pop voice. With a completely calm expression on his face.
I sang this song Aishite Aishite Aishite at Karaoke in Japan, and Japanese Karaoke machine gives you score by checking pitch, rhythm, stability, vibrato so on. my score was 88 out of 100. (T_T) It's so difficult to sing (>
Please please, you gotta react to zutomayo - inside joke (Live) or (studio). I genuinely think you'll enjoy reacting to them. They're a very popular band inside japan. They're composition and music production is probably one of the most refreshing band that I've ever seen. And I should say so since I've been studying music theory for almost 10 years. The biggest and most outstanding aspect of them is their use of the bass, it's always engaged yet in support of the other instruments. I wish that you react to them in the future, I'm sure once you do you'll go down that rabbit hole!
I would recommend organizing a Japanese day somehow. There are a lot of interesting things in Japanese music, which has greatly advanced (for example, in Japan, rock and metal are doing well and developing, there are more than 50 rock and metal bands competing), there are also many unique singers
Thank you for everything❤ ONE OK ROCK released new song! "Delusion:All" (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) theme song for the movie「Kingdom」♪ Richard and Johnny, Check it out🙏❤
If you want to get a better idea of pronunciation, you can always use google translate. There's a button that will get an (admittedly very unnatural) synthesized voice to pronounce it. For Aishite, there are 2 things that trip English speakers up. First, vowels never change sound. Unlike English where the "vowel consonant vowel" pattern often means the first vowel changes sound, there's nothing like that in Japanese. Second, technically the i in "shi" here is what is called devoiced. Which is exactly what you think, it's still pronounced, but the i is essentially whispered, so it comes out sounding more like "sh" than "shi" to the English ear. This also happens with "desu" which sounds like "des" to English speakers, because the u is devoiced and almost silent. This devoicing effect typically only happens in speech though, which is why you clearly hear the i being pronounced in the song itself. So really the pronunciation in regular speech is closer to Ai-sh-te (with dashes indicating syllables, which in this case line up with the Japanese mora). The composer and lyricist Kikuo is pronounced key-koo-oh.
Pls do react for sb19 Mapa on THE FIRST TAKE. For sure you know what is THE FIRST TAKE all about. The popular you tube channel from japan, inviting popular singers doing their songs in just one take and showing their vocals more so they lessen the instruments of the songs. Try reacting singers there for the live performances in just one take
Ado started producing a dark-side idol group, Phantom Siita. Their song 'Just wanna XXXX with you' about murdering their lover was written by Kikuo. On the group's RUclips channel, there's also a 13 mins video of Ado voice-coaching the singers.
When you watch an interview where she talks about herself, you can see how little confidence she has in herself.😅 In other words, she is not a marketing genius or anything.
hello Richard and Johnny, thought you might react also to SB19 the first take. they did a great job there. there you can clearly hear their voices. so SATISFYING... They first sang Gento and Mapa when they came back

She is very meticulous, there is nothing random in how she sings.
kikuo is pronounced k-ee-k-oo-o and aishite is pronounced i-shee-t-a and a is pronounced just like how u would pronounce it alone btw love ur vids :33
That was three years ago. She started doing choreography and is still doing it to this day.
By the way, one of the reasons for the popularity of ADO in Japan is that many of its songs are in the top chart lists of karaoke bars
Japanese is romanized
So English seems to be a single word
But they are actually read separately.
"Ai" "shi" "te" "Ai" "shi" "te" "Ai" "shi" "te"
Oh, and it will be hard for the reactors)))
Ay a fellow Floridian
Next time, try reacting to the new song "rule." I think you'll enjoy it because it's sung in a variety of voices.
Please react to rule, it just came out and it's one of my favorite songs from Ado.
I hope I can convince them to make a Japanese day to review many songs from many groups
Doing the live version first instead of the studio?
yes :)
I would recommend organizing a Japanese day somehow. There are a lot of interesting things in Japanese music, which has greatly advanced (for example, in Japan, rock and metal are doing well and developing, there are more than 50 rock and metal bands competing), there are also many unique singers
Pronounced "eye-she-tay". Ai is the Japanese word for Love.
Сегодня вас было очень мало, я не успела на вас налюбоваться.
Thank you for everything❤
ONE OK ROCK released new song! "Delusion:All" (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) theme song for the movie「Kingdom」♪
Richard and Johnny, Check it out🙏❤
You guys can check English cover of this song by juby phonics
Hauser and Lara Fabian Caruso and adagio magique moment, incredible 2024 strong love Lara Fabian video on you tube Lara Fabian and HAUSER

😂😂😂
In terms of whether there were such singers before, do you remember Mike Patton? ))
For Katrina Velarde, Latin Medley pls ❤
Pls do react for sb19 Mapa on THE FIRST TAKE. For sure you know what is THE FIRST TAKE all about. The popular you tube channel from japan, inviting popular singers doing their songs in just one take and showing their vocals more so they lessen the instruments of the songs. Try reacting singers there for the live performances in just one take
Could you please react to Jimin’s newest solo WHO??
Ado started producing a dark-side idol group, Phantom Siita. Their song 'Just wanna XXXX with you' about murdering their lover was written by Kikuo.
On the group's RUclips channel, there's also a 13 mins video of Ado voice-coaching the singers.
Can someone tell me if they reacted to huahua's "I don't care"
When you watch an interview where she talks about herself, you can see how little confidence she has in herself.😅
In other words, she is not a marketing genius or anything.
Aishite Pronounce eye see teh
Hi, i like your reaction videos! Please check also Lucy Thomas - All By Myself. You will love it!
hello Richard and Johnny, thought you might react also to SB19 the first take. they did a great job there. there you can clearly hear their voices. so SATISFYING... They first sang Gento and Mapa when they came back
