That was a kick ass video. I got a Dall when I was 30 and have always wanted to hunt a Stone but at 65 and seeing those rock fields I think my time has passed. Congrats to the hunter!!

Boy that moose sure took an awful lot of shots to put down... Good grief that was painful to watch. Get closer next time and put the shots in the right place not up in his back strap.
280 AI was not enough for that shot to the shoulder. heart and lungs it would have been fine. Great gun for sheep, but not best choice for moose. I would have run something like a 300WM pushing 180s. I have never shot a moose but have been a part of a dozen hunts, 30 cal and up seems to be the go to.
Yeah, not sure what the rush was to get a shot off. He wasn’t going anywhere. Not great shooting..

Unfortunately, my communist state of Washington, will not allow us to partake in these raffles! Somehow, RMEF is allowed to do their sweepstakes. What the difference is, I have no idea. And, to add insult to injury, the state just made it illegal to buy magazines over 10 rounds! Great hunt, great, great moose and ram!

not enough in my opinion for that shot to the shoulder. ribs it will do it, but the shoulders are super heavy.
Shot many sheep through the front shoulder with a 270 win. 280 is enough.
@@surinate I think he was talking about the moose. It absorbed those shots like nothing happened.

Good shot? No offense but that was horrible shooting. 2nd shot killed it, following shots just ruined meat. Please spend more time at the range
