I got a mint 1993 ultra Classic that I bought for $1000 with basically a blown engine . Lifter wheel bearing took a dump . Rebuilt the whole engine with high compression pistons, andrews ev27 cam ,ported heads , mikuni carburetor, two into one thunderheader exhaust. & performance single fire ignition. The bikes a ripper now! Love the evo engine, so easy to work on.
What a Crisp sounding engine/exhaust. I've owned several, used, 1340s over the last 25 years, do my own maintenance, and currently still running a 98 Super Glide with a wide Glide front end. These Evos, if treated to quality oil/filter changes every 5,000 miles or so, really are bullet proof. Still enjoying mine.
i bought 1987 electra glide classic with 9k mls on tacho last year . Love the bike so much. the bike was belongs to 83 years old respectful man , he didnt ride anymore since felloff the bike 2 years back on traffic light stop ( he though he already put side stands on which he did not ) . so it has very minor damage to the paint and chrom on the left side but basicly everything is perfect .
My dad has the exact bike and color and it lead me to get a 2010 electra ultra limited I'm hooked for life. . . .took me for many long rides when I was young, the color is wineberry by the way brother
Funny thing... this came up in my feed just now. This is a fantastic bike. I am working on my 1986 Harley Davidson FLHTC. I did most of the the maintenance like your guy did. Mine is a deep Maroon, with dark Grey accents and Gold pin striping. Honestly, mine is close to Good condition. I plate it here in Saskatchewan under antique plates for $53CDN per season - with full liability.
I bought an 06 Electra Glide Standard and redid everything up to Ultra Classic trim and Stage 2 engine mods. I still have the 5 SPD but I'd like to do a Baker 6 SPD eventually. But for now including what I paid for it I have $12500 in it. Far less than the cost of a new one and this one is virtually brand new. I love it and I'll never sell it.
Im sloppering right now...all i could think of was that FXRD you had after seeing the paint. Id love to own this being my born year. Need more $$ lol. Il keep my evo fxr forever. They sound like everything i ever wanted as a kid..
I'm Late to the game on this one, beautiful bike you have there,I have the same one in custom black. The evo's purr like a kitten, but can roar like a lion thats for sure. Cheers
I wish you guys updated your ebay listings quicker from when you post these videos, I always go on and they take awhile to show up. Enjoy the videos as always!
