I recently purchased a Buffet Clarimate. I needed a way to practice without being heard while others were sleeping or working from home. One of the interesting things is that every note is in tune. It was a little bit off putting when I was playing the clarinet I've been using the past 10 years and not having to make the usual embouchure adjustments on certain notes. Not sure if having a perfectly tuned horn would be a good thing since you wouldn't be listening as hard. It's a great fingering practice device but your video did make me think about things that I've got to watch for if I use it too much.
I had the opposite problem when I was a noob: a very out-of-tune, cheap, nasty clarinet. I think it was good for me, as I learned to adjust egregious pitches early on. If you're practising at all, you're lapping the majority of clarinettists out there 😉
@learnclarinetonline when my daughter started to learn clarinet I bought her a $60 one that someone had bought online and returned to a Target store. Forced her to learn to tune notes and listen to everyone else. After she got proficient, she got my first Buffet student model plastic clarinet. I took it in to the music store and had it restored. I think it can go either way for students. Some can get discouraged and quit so I wouldn't do that for a student I didn't know as well.

Turns out my Vito Resotone is an engineered tempered chromatic scale accurate to a millionth of a gnats bottom. The mathematics and science applied to the engineering of the modern Boehm system band instrument clarinet is very sincere. I am unable to produce the tempered chromatic scale because of my insincere lazy musicianship discipline. Also, I apply excess force to the instrument, driving the pitch all over the place!!!!😂😅

Band instruments don't have intonation problems. I have intonation problems 😂

Interesting video, however the background music is unnecessary, distracting, too loud, and very annoying.
thanks for the feedback!
