- Here is the last leg of out multi-day trip up and down the East coast. After some short delays out of Farmingdale, we made our way to Miami Opa-Locka Executive. There was no shortage of traffic in our way!
Jon’s “vámonos” is getting classic! I like it!
Carlos Marquez yes, it’s like Arnie’s ”I’ll be back.”
It’s really a shame Jon is otherwise so camera shy
I love how you split the screens when landing so we see the landing strip and inside the cockpit at the same time.
Another awesome Flight! Heavy traffic, good job spotting and keeping cool.
Another great video from Presidential 69. Love the new camera positions which provide a view of the entire cockpit. ATC comm. was outstanding! I live on Long Island where Farmingdale is located. Have never taken off from there but wondered what it would feel like. Hope you enjoyed your brief stay on LI ! Jon is quite the comedian! See you on the next video!
Thanks Shaun & John, you guys work so well together
ATC to pilot in over their head: "Pay attention!"😂
I like when he says "Ok Sean" it's comforting when they are changing things......
You guys make it look easy. Great video.
Todd Metzger agreed, they make hard work, and intensive training, look easy
Hey guys, great professionalism. I enjoyed the flight. Good job.
You two guys are the best team of pilots
Enjoyed that one. Teamwork at its best.
Man that was wild coming in guys. Birds and bogies.
I appreciate the professionalism that you guys display when confronted with the situations in this video! I especially like the clowning around you do to deflate at the end of the video! You guys are my hero!!
Thanks!
Lots of traffic on final...love to hear that TCAS, "Traffic, Traffic". Nice, solid flight. And a fun watch. Have a good one.
Another outstanding trip.
Awesome videos guy's, thanks for taking the time to make them. Enjoy them very much.
really enjoy that camera angle facilitating a good view of the cluster... airspeed and vertical rates; wow!
That was a strange one, and got to love when you get a totally new flight plan just when you get up in the air. Then those small craft buzzing around at the landing..along with invisible bird reports on the runway, all had to make that a spicy day for you guys. Glad you took us along for it, and hope the coming weeks give you nothing but smooth ones after these last few..although I hear the aircraft's been grounded for some time now??Good time to get some rest, and catch up with the families and such ;)
That one was a bit exciting. The past few videos were from a few months back. I knew the plane was going into maintenance for a month, so I saved up some footage in an effort to keep the video releases going for you guys. The California trip has a little drama that some of you guys might like...it'll be out soon!
Looking forward to it. So are you guys back up in the air soon..or already, and can't wait to see the upgrade, although realize it was mostly in for maintenance.
Corporate Pilot Life Shaun......always planning ahead, lol.
I was like ‘Yikes’ with all the traffic. Great video. It seems like y’all don’t get much time off.
You guys know your stuff.
Great job on the traffic and the birds..
As always another wonderful video. Really enjoyed it, thanks guys!
Great job on your videos!!!!
You guys are great! Thanks for letting us share these flights.
Awesome work guys!
another good one guys!!
Busy approach! Great vid, thanks for bringing us along.
Yay!!! Thanks for getting FRG in there! Lunch on me next time.!!!
Just havin coffee when the video uploaded!!! Great flight guys!!!
Information overload going into Opa-Locka. Great job guys!
Thank you very much . I just recently discovered your channel and I must say , I am favourably impressed. I realise it’s a lot of work , so again , thanks
I am always excited to see that you've posted a new video. There's something really enjoyable about watching you guys do your thing. Thanks!
You guys sure had your hands full on approach. Nice work.
Love the professionalism you two always have in the cockpit and when dealing with ATC, they was a tough flight it seemed like for you guys! Great job and keep the vids coming!
17:52 - Cessna goes over the top of you guys seen through Sean's window. Closer than I would like, but I'm a low timer and not an expert like you two. Well done gentlemen.
Another great video!
Thanks Shaun, I was going through withdrawals while your baby is in for maintenance!
Wow great read back on the reclearance 👍
"3000 remaining" ... computer voice "3000 remaining" "I JUST SAID THAT!" And hey! we got a smile from Jon at the end!
That was a little busy at the end there. Good stuff.
Great video as always presidential 69
Great as always. Lot's of small planes down there. Could create some tense nerves sometimes I guess.
Great video, earned paycheck this flight.
Good video, good flight. Thanks for posting
Nice Video, Keep up the good work!
watching those auto throttle is a little freaky. When they gave you the 250 restriction I was expecting them to back off but remained still. then a few shots later it looked like the yaw damper was working overtime. Cool Stuff!
Good stuff always look forward to next one
Great one. Got a little busy coming into Opa-Locka
Good job Shaun, your videos keep getting better. Ha, I just knew Jon was a prankster
Great flight guys good skills always a pleasure cheers
Wow, what busy airspace. Goes to show that you must have absolute trust in those controllers. Great job keeping up the sit awareness!
Bryan from Vancouver
Trust...yes. Absolute trust...I don't know about that. HAHA!
Loved the "ughh" when they issued a reroute. I know the feeling! You guys can't catch a break up there in ZNY lately!
Tell me about it!
Man, you guys almost had it all during that flight. And Jon lands the bird so smooth, like he's kissing his sister!
BAHAHAHAHAHA! That one just made my day!!
R Fish oh gawd, I’m outta here
(Puking noises)
Man, you guys earned your paycheck on this flight. New flight plan en route... had to stay low for awhile burning up JP out of NY. Then near destination rubbernecking looking for traffic into Opa Locka. Sometimes I think Tcas is more of a distraction. ATC is pretty good about advising of near traffic.
Right on my back yard . Sent you way east while amending the clearance . Sometimes flying in New York sucks.
Another great video guys!
Very enjoyable flight to Miami.I with nice time there. I following you through YTUBE.
Very nice work guys.
Deberían tener una línea Conga sobre Opa-locka con todo ese tráfico. ¡Que gentio!
Wow, atc seemed quite busy, but you guys run like a finely tuned machine. Love your vlogs.
Thanks!
What was up with that freakin reroute?! Awesome vid guys, thanks for all you do!
No joke...
Saw your bird sitting outside the GS hangar today. Looks like she's in one piece. Vacation is almost over.
Yeah...it's almost done. The're telling us another week or so. How's it look?
Corporate Pilot Life you won’t like the new paint job: pink and black. Personally I feel the new pink fuzzy dice dangling in front of Jon’s seat is tacky
Hard to tell from the road doing 50 MPH, but she does look clean. I think I saw her about a week and a half ago with no engines. Might have been another bird though.
Warren Percell Those new props look really shiny........😬
Corporate Pilot Life The new props are installed and polished......... 😬
Awesome vid
Another good vid. Love 'em!
Thanks guys good video. I learned to fly out of KISP in the 70”s so scenery is very familiar. Not as much traffic back then 😂.
awesome job as usual
Thanks for the video!
You guys should stop by KISP sometime! we're not as busy as KFG haha love to meet you guys too, keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for the flight
Wonderful editing very professional flying Wish they had a G-IV for my Simulator thanks
Nice...right over ILM!
Man, you've got that altitude selector spin down to an art!
That one takes lots of practice...
Great video guys. Will Francine be back soon? We miss her.
Great one!
Nice view of the Great South Bay and FIre Island.
Great video as usual. Hope you make it to my home airport in Cali. KSTS. Would love to meet you guys.
That would be great! I'll let you know if we get a trip to the Santa Rosa Area...
Got some good sprays in today above you.
earned your money today...thrill a minute. :-) great video as always...
Loving it!
Awesome video! You guys sure earned your chocolate chip cookies today! "What the heck were they doing with you guys at center?
Costing us fuel...
Awesome answer
Hehe, they’re probably here, subrscibers to the channel
Good morning Captain's.
I’m familiar with BEADS intersection. BlueStreak (Piedmont/American Eagle) and other jets use it in and out of airports on the Connecticut shoreline.
I sure would like to win the bose head phones...yep Love your channel.
I like how you gentlemen keep a (strict) look out for other traffic. Thanks for great VLOG and editting! Is your name spelled Shaun? If you ever go into John Wayne and have a few hours, I'll fly you over to Catalina Island for a bite! Continue safe flying and keep up the good work!
That would be awesome! Haven't been to John Wayne for a few months, but hopefully soon. And yeah, its spelled Shaun. Thanks for checking!
Another nice video now john he can say went he landing llegamos in Spanish means we arrive
Great Vid ! I was wondering when Jon will tell us he's career path to the G-IV ;)
Clément Le Brun spoiler alert: after an amazing career as an international criminal mastermind and Bond villain, Jon wanted to settle down and become an operatic tenor.
His new wife wanted none of THAT s*** and put her foot down.
The rest is history
Shaun, I’ve got a general aviation lifestyle question for you.
As a non-aviator, my favorite aviation story is known as “LA Speed Check.” It’s a story told by a retired Air Force SR-71 pilot. You can find this story on RUclips by searching LA speed check.
How famous is this story amongst professional corporate pilots?
Well I cant speak for other pilots, but that's certainly one of my all time favorite stories. My guess is that it's pretty well known...
“Untouchables” and “Sled Diver” are two great books by Brian Shul you should own if you don’t already Doug.
GEEZ! A bee hive!
those are the students on the practice area!!!! to tough to seen on a fast airplane... also near FXE are a another bunch of them
That was a really long change! Can they not send it to you to print in cockpit and/or upload into FMC??
Had to look up what 29F was as its C here in NZ.
29F is -1.6C and 22F is -5.5. BLOODY COLD!
Edit as getting to end. Was cool seeing that lightie go over you - but there was close traffic!
Question: The button to the right of it is PULSE by looks? Does that flash landing lights each side? Why the LDG LIGHTS weren't turned on? Capt turned taxi light on on finals, which showed ON when gear came down.
Another brill video chaps!
They cant send us that route change with the equipment we currently have. Once we get the CPDLC equipment installed, then that will be a possibility. The PULSE switch does exactly that...alternates the landing lights on and off. It will turn the left one on, then the right, and so on. We turn the taxi switch on when we are cleared to land, it's just our little reminder if we are cleared to land or not. It won't actually turn the light on until the gear comes down, as you saw.
Corporate Pilot Life Awesome thanks for answering. Found pic of yr gal tonight. Blues my fav color!
I think we need some CPL “Vámonos" merch
You ever make it to OGG Maui where I live? Jon seriously needs some Maui Jim shades.
I've been to Maui, but never on this plane...only on an airline. I keep telling Jon to get some Maui Jims, but he likes his Costas.
Poor Baby it's cold outside. Florida temps, I live in Texas, but travel to Canada every winter. You gotta love the chills, the only thing that bothers me is the wind. Canada -30 no wind no problem, Texas 35 and 30 mile wind, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I know what you're talking about. I grew up in North Texas, and I fully agree.
Me, Wichita Falls, now West Texas, Love all the adventure segments between flights
Stressful approach!
Lots of front end wobble on the yoke @12:40..might want to check the front ball joints!..
mrabrasive51 lower control arm.
The chimney dampener lol.,
It's actually in maintenance right now. That's one of the things they are looking at.
Hopefully maintenance is checking the rigging as well.
mrabrasive51 as long as they fix the beer tap, who cares about the rest
You flew out of my home airport 😱😱😱😱😱.
New to your channel. See you in California.
WHEW!!! Boy, that was a busy flight, Shaun. I was trying to follow you on Google Earth, out of Farmingdale, but I got lost as to where they routed you right after the takeoff. When they turned you to 280, I couldn’t find that long strip of land that had the highway on it. Anyway, it sure was busy there at Opa-Locka. There seemed to be a lot of traffic around that area, while you were on your approach. And, then there were the birds. Are birds a normal factor there at Opa Locka? Anyway, great job on the whole trip. You guys really looked tired once you finally got back home. Hope you got some rest. Look forward to the seeing the trip to California. BTW, Shaun, did you post a video for Nassau to Farmingdale leg? If you did, I couldn’t find it. I did watch the Ft. Meyers to Nassau video. Good job on that landing in Nassau, Shaun. Anyway, great job on the videos, and I really enjoy watching you two guys working together. Happy Flying, and safe landings.
Hey Richard! It sure was a busy flight. I didn't record the Nassau to Farmingdale leg. All of my cameras were dead with full memory cards. Also, it was at night, and the footage is always very poor with low light. Birds are constantly an issue for us; we don't want to suck one of those things into an engine! I'm working on the next video as we speak...might be a few days, but it's on the way!
Thanks for the reply, Shaun. Makes sense why you didn’t record that Nassau-Farmingdale leg. I wouldn’t either, if I were in your shoes. Hope ya’ll never have to deal with birds in the engine(s). Look forward to the next video. Happy Flying, and safe landings.
You guys must have an airline shorthand to write all those waypoints as fast as they read them out. I like the split screen you have for landing. Would it be possible in your editing to show where the planes are that you see. I may be blind, but I did not see even one of the ones in this video. No big deal if you can't make it happen. I enjoy watching!
I always try to do that, but I usually can't see them on the video either! LOL It's so much easier to see them in person versus on the video.
Got lucky with the knob from 6000 to 5000. one swift turn... good move
That was straight up skill...with some luck mixed in...hehe...
John: "go fu-fly somewhere else"🤣
