tbh i rly don't want Vr to be main stream and a norm. I think it is cool as a niche, especially for gaming (horror games make me scream 24/7 with vr), call me an old head but we already live in a world where everyone is glued to their screen. Having something that it literally on you that you put on, and immerses you even more, would make it so pretty much, no one would really live in the moment anymore.
The problem with VR is that it’s expensive… so if it doesn’t catch on with the mainstream, pretty soon you won’t be able to enjoy it even as a niche. Developers and hardware manufacturers won’t keep investing in something that has very little returns.
You have some good points in the video, but Apple released the Vision Pro for the developers, not for normal consumers. I know that this is a cringe analogy, but people hated on the first iPhone, for the same exact reason (impressive hw, but not many apps). But developers loved it anyways, because it had a shit ton of sensors and cameras at the time, so it was fun to make apps for. In my humble opinion, that is eventually going to be what happens with the Vision Pro. Most of the points you make could be applied to all vr headsets and the video doesn't mention basically any good aspects of vr. Idk, I don't want to be a hater, but it's easy to pick on a new product, especially in a market, that is still developing. Don't take this the wrong way, I would love to read your opinion on this!
This is exactly it. The $3500 price tag was supposed to be a barrier to keep out the normies from buying it. The target audience was always developers to make the next iteration better. That's the iteration that will be targeted at normies for a lower price tag.
@@Medievalguy88 I love how people love bitching about the looks of it, like dude Im not an Apple fan boy, but have you seen other vr headset?? And yes, Im not a fan of the displays on the outside too, but it still looks kinda sick (I am not saying that all other vr headsets look bad, but compared to other headsets, you can't say that the Vision Pro looks bad in my opinion.)
Good point bro - I probably should have talked about the dev aspect a bit more. I think it's a bit of a chicken and egg, devs need users and users need devs. With the userbase right now, I don't think there's an insane incentive for established developers to pump out cool apps. The number of new vision app releases since launch have also decreased. I do like the vision pro tho, so I'm hopeful we'll see some insane growth by 2nd or 3rd gen
@@melontype Sure, just as a side note, I would agree with your point about the lack of incentive to create apps for the Vision Pro, if Apple didn't announce literally 600 new apps for it. It's not important for everyone, but I would recommend watching the WWDC24 presentation (they start with the Vision Pro). You still made a cool video; I just like bitching about stuff :)
I would be more on board with this if there was literally almost ANY evidence that people are actually developing apps for this thing because so far there is basically crickets. The idea that the vision pro is ONLY for devs is ludicrous; you can't release a device ONLY for devs. The Vision Pro was supposed to appeal to the Super Premium Consumer (which it did, as far as we can tell- do you think 200k developers bought the pro? Come off it) sorry I'm just not buying any of this. Did Apple want to get the device in the hands of devs? Yes. Did they also want rich people to buy them? Absolutely and unequivocally yes. Are there basically no devs actively making apps and sharing what those apps would DO? Uh yeah pretty much, no one knows what to do with it! We know they've solded probably 200-300k+ units. To say those are dev numbers is highly lol
Once again, great video. Personally, I won't use the current design of the Vision Pro because 1) it looks stupid and 2) I'd rather have dairy cows for that price
for me its also uncomfortable to wear, and plus im essentially downgrading my eyes by looking into cameras, also im pretty sure id get motion sick soon enough after using it
@@hawtsauce6178 But they marketed it as a product for the regular person. Most of thier commercials show ppl doung every day work or normal productivity tasks. The hate comes from the wrong marketing and is kinda justified cuz of that.

I would say yes. The price is not the worst problem, the whole idea is kinda bad. VR is good for casual games, sim gaming and porn and that is about it. Nobody wants to wear a headset for multiple hours to do office work or watching movies. If the AVP was around the price of a Quest3 it would still be worse for the things people actually buy headsets for.
Don’t allow anyone to discourage you about purchasing the vision. If you want to buy it and have the money to afford it then you should buy it, it is a great experience.
ok guys listen, this applies to me and some others, OK, here it goes, I have a 2 year old baby girl which I have her on AVP recording, enough said about that, you know what I am talking about. This weekend I went to my brother's house where my 94 year old father lives, I showed my AVP and he viewed the HIGH LINE NORWAY immersive video, the look on his face is priceless, DOES ANYONE CARE ABOUT VR? its all on who you ask!!!!!!
Is that really? It’s funny how often people are put in others videos and find it almost as soon as that videos upload. The world, and the internet, is a strange place 😂
i was actually interested in the vision pro, until I saw Ryan Trahan and Eddie's Burback's videos on it and decided that an oculus quest is still the better option than the vision pro lmao
AVP was conceived as a product with a luxury allure akin to a gold Apple watch with an Hermès band. It's not made for the average Joe. Alternatively, the multi-millionaire Apple live within a reality-distortion field.
Tbh xiaomi camera is good better then iphone in my opinion but not all android are like 4 dollars there are some expensive phones in Malaysia the S24 is like 4000 RM (Malaysian currency)

Apple Vision Pro is great, but it needs Steve Jobs.

Here’s the question. If this device where the cost of an IPad, would still see all of these negative videos about AVP?

Lets not say on the phone "he just has to unlock it" , coz it seems like a step.
How about "he just looks at his phone and opens his email".

Thanks for watching bro!
I would absolutely need it if I could afford it. But apple is for rich first worlders.
If it wasn't 4k then it would have taken off for what it is it should have been at least 2k a reasonable price
Surgeons are using Apple Vision Pro in operating rooms. Compare to other medical devices, the Vision Pro is cheap.
Nice vid mate
I tried to watch the video, but the music in the background has an annoying tap so I couldn’t
Appreciate the feedback my guy
