I am using my Father's Toshiba laptop with WINDOWS 8 and yet it still works fine.

I've been a proud desktop user for almost half a year now. I can guarantee you that if you have a desk in your room and you don't need you machine to be moved around frequently, desktop is the way to go either for gaming and productivity.

Surface pro might get shit on a bit but it's an amazing machine. Raw power, quiet as a breeze even under heavy loads, portable like a sheet of paper, gorgeous. It's something I wish apple would follow suit on. Combine the iPad and macbook. So sorry but you're wrong buddy.

accurate experience

well i have two laptops , a macbook pro with m3 max, 64gb ram and 4tb ssd , also a gaming laptop , msi gt77 titan with core i9 12900hx , 64gb ddr6, and 3080ti , 3ssds

I unironically press the green button. I tend to use the fullscreen quite a lot, and I kinda like how it automatically puts the window in a new desktop; in Windows I could open more apps on the same page, but most of the time it would just minimize which basically is the same thing, but different. Also, the only reason I press it is because I'm too lazy to learn that one shortcut.

And then there's me... who uses (and loves) an old ThinkPad and also hates HPs and MacBook Airs to death, but will defend the MacBook Pros to death.

it always makes me laugh when people who use Macs have never complained about most of the stuff you complained about but then some lifelong windows user will come along and use macOS for 90 days and then make a video saying "I know Mac is different but this thing that literally only I have a problem with is objectively wrong on all computers"
