If you have experienced one German winter you will understand why we love the sun. About being poor in Germany: there is poverty. But people who really struggle don't talk about it as much because they might be ashamed. And the poorest workers are usually brought here from eastern Europe and they are really exploited. You could get a glimpse of it when the corona outbreak at the meat fabric in Gütersloh happened.

Regarding the unemployment insurance if you have worked in Germany for a certain time (1 year at the beginning) you have the right to receive the benefits if you loose your job. The amount of money you receive depends on the fact if you are single or if you have a family it is 60% or 67% of your last paycheck. This money you can get for max 2 years but you have for sure try to get a new job but there is a office which helps you with this. I don’t know if foreigners are permitted to receive the social minimum payment which German citizens are granted but I think it is depending on your status if you have only a temporary permission to stay of a on limited permission. For sure I know that people from the EU have the same rights as Germans for Non EU I don’t know exactly. Regarding the bread it is not 300 it is more like 3000 different types we have. Additionally there are more than 1500 different types of sausages to put on your bread and a really big amount of cheeses.
I think one reason why older people like English speakers is because they really treated the Germans fair after the second world war. I remember how my great grandfather who was a pow by the British told me that they treated him really fair. I was 6 years old when he passed but I know how important it was to him to tell me that. My grandfather was a young boy at the end of the second world war and they suffered a lot of hunger. He always told stories how they stole coal and potatoes and how once his friend was caught by an American soldier. From that time his friend got all the good stuff like butter and chocolate by that soldier and he was so envious that he didn't get caught. I think many families have these stories and the elder remember this and the younger had a huge influence by English speaking media.

It's so sweet, how you are telling about and rating Germany, the country, the culture, the habbits... But from my point of view as a German not all is true. It's only true from your point of view as a southafrican woman. For example: german women don't rate germany as safe, when they walk alone on the street at night. The trains are not on time here compared to Japan. And i am sure, in germany we have 10 % racists. But i like your videos. Continue with them and be happy here. You are welcome here in our country.
You may have a point but Munich is very safe in general not just for me as a South African and the U Bahn is always on time. There are racists everywhere however racism is much less here. Thanks for the welcome, I love it here.

Ah, danke 🍷
You must host us Tebogo.
The moment you miss the german bread when travelling abroad, is when you have becone a german.
Nein 😅
The train is always on time in Germany? I don't know, where you experiences that :-D.
Munich train is punctual, I experience it a LOT :-D
You know you're south african when you're excited about snow
Absolutely 😅!
@@tebogop8818 Maybe it's different in Munich. I live in the Frankfurt area.
How many years after high school did you move to Germany?
Nice life problem 🤔 I like that
I love your vid..I‘m german, but living in the uk
Thanks for watching 😊
Is it too expensive to go to Germany from SA?
Train is always on Time? For African Cirumstances, i must say, Yes!
South African train (Gautrain isn’t bad actually), the Munich train is honestly punctual.
Hi homey how do I apply for work there what are requirements?
Hi Tebogo, so I’m planning to visit Germany and want to explore a bit. Are there any places you could recommend for a solo trip (safe and reasonable accommodation and places of interest)
Zintle Nxadi all cities are safe here. Cologne & Leipzig should fit. I personally like Munich and Fussen 😍
@@tebogop8818 Hi Tebogo, thanks for the recommendations and replying. 💞 I will definitely consider those areas for next year since Germany is still on strict lockdown
A lil insider tip. Potsdam. It's the Versailles of Germany. I fell in love with this city on the first day I was here. So pretty.
@@marileegarcia4294 thank you so much! It’s really the Versailles of Germany 😍 the architectural landscape and the palace! It’s a beauty, I’ll have it on my list for my visit
I live in Potsdam,... Very beautiful and safe place.... I totally love it
I am moving there
Hi, how are you.
I have somekind of an question to you. But need to explain a bit. I have a friend down in Joburg, I am actually help him to come up to my beloved Germany. But honestly as a native I have no clue about these Visa process and working license stuff. And here is my question, can you explain me what kind of things I need to do and how it works? I am a bit lost at the moment.
Additional question: Did you face here a lot of racism our something like that? I am really scared about it when he really comes to Germany and have to face similar racism scum shit like in SA and how I can help him in this situation.
I can give you also my E-Mail just in case you ok with that.
Thank you for a possible answer, schöne Grüße aus Niedersachsen Holzi.
Holzi build in 87 Holzi build in 87 hi. I’d suggest that your friend visits Germany for a few weeks or months and personally experience Germany himself. Here’s a link for a Schengen visa (valid for 3 months) de.tlscontact.com/za/splash.php
I haven’t faced any racism here but I do have a few challenges ... Here is a detailed video about it

Hallo liebe Prinzessin, tell me honestly, I'm a Canadian with German roots, is it for me as a white man walking in south Africa on any street in south Africa, just as safe as it is for you in Germany? I know it would be safe if you or your Brother would walk with me, I mean if I would walk at night just by myself on any street in south Africa?
Heheee no, black, white or whatever but depends with areas too

Hm... so you like your bike? Have you ever bin to Münster? Thats the German capital of biking! Don't go there by car, as a car driver you learn to drive carfully, because it's a no no to have an acident with a bike there, i think you won't survive it :)
Interesting :) ! Thanks for watching

That’s a first 😅
Honest ask, have you faced any racism in Germany ?
No I haven’t, I get a lot of stares but it seems to be a normal thing in Germany.

Nice video, but turn off the music. We want to listen to you with your nice voice and accent. The music is just annoying

There is way too much "Made in China" here too.
Kann u praat Afrikaans?
Daarom sal u Duits beter verstaan.
Gerd Papenburg Ja ek praat Afrikaans ook, dit het my gehelp om beter te verstaan. 👌🏿
You could try listen to Plattdeutsch. If you speak Afrikaans it's probably easier to understand than standard German. The tv and radio stations ndr have a lot of it
