I have my first Dachshund, a Standard smooth Red named Hildy! She is 1 and baby sister to her two Siamese cat big brothers! Loving family all raised from puppy/kittens together!
I've had dachshunds for 70 years!!😂 Wouldn't have another breed. Now have my first digger! Oh well, just should have had her regrade the backyard!! Would have been been cheaper!!!
Good video, thanks for posting. In re to spinal disorder, having a history of parents/grandparents/lineage is very helpful in determining potential issues. Reputable breeders will provide info. In re to barking - yes! My mini barks @ the wind, and then the branches rustling, and finally the leaves falling against pavement. She barks at snow sliding off roof, and icicles. We've compromised on 4 healthy barks allowed before a "Good Girl! Good job protecting, and I'm ok" , along with positive petting. Sounds counterintuitive but works SOOO much better than 'No!" or "Stop!". She literally grumbles,which is hilarious, but stops barking :)
Yes I'm a parent of a 11 yr old male named Luigi.Smooth haired black and tan. Of all my family members ,I have #27,#28,#29. Last 2 haves passed away, but Luigi is sitting next to me cuddling under the covers. I definitely Break for Weiner Dogs. # Best Dogs Ever
i have a quick question… since i go to school and nobody is home, how do i deal with my dachshund? ( i dont have a dachshund but i just wanted to know)

Maggie is 10 months old , very attached to me loves to cuddle , when we are out on a walk she looks for rabbit poop so I have to be on top of her 😅
