The pros certainly outweigh the cons. My beagle loved everyone, from my 6 mo old god daughter to my great aunt. He fit all the facts listed. Strangely at 6 months he did not leave my partner when he slipped on ice and knocked himself out cold on a NYC sidewalk on an early Saturday morning. My boy stayed with him, licking his face until he came to. His time with us was so precious. I miss him dearly.
I've owned 2 beagles and they're the best! So sweet tempered, snuggly, laid back and low maintenance. You just have to make sure you beagle-proof your house lol. Mine have both been couch potatoes 90% of the time but are always up for a walk!
I had a Beagle mix, Daisy Mae for 12 1/2 years until she was so sick from her earlier battle with heartworms we had to put her down for her kidneys failing. I now have a new beagle puppy. My heart is finally trying to heal after almost two years. Here's to the adventures we've yet had but definitely will be doing once I can get back to RV life full time.

We have 3 pocket beagles. The largest is 20 lbs and the smallest at 10 lbs. The oldest at 6 and the youngest at 2. We will get our 4th in 1 month. Our pocket line is some how traced back to the 1900s (I believe even later). Rare to find but still just as lovable as a full sized.

When she was little and she used to be locked in her crate she used to bark all the time to get out but as soon as she got out she would stop barking. Gradually when she grew we felt the crate was not required for her anymore so we stopped barking since. There was a short period of time when we held her by her harness and then also she barked but we stopped using that to so she doesn't bark anymore. We used to think of this as a blessing as our ears are spared but now iam wondering is this normal??, Is something wrong with her??, Is she depressed or something??. I am really worried so please answer me Also she is a pure breed beagle no question about it so if you are thinking that you are wrong.
@@dyutichakrabortty786 I don’t think anything is wrong with her my friend. Every dog has its own personality and some are just quiet and reserved. Some dogs have to be encouraged to bark or howl others the problem is getting them to stop. At the end of the day they’re as different from dog to dog as you are from your neighbor. One of my previous dogs from years ago would bark on command, at strangers, at the doorbell (even if she could see you ringing it!) another one in the 15 years I had her maybe barked a total of 10 times and they were all to alert me to a perceived danger. Honestly if she’s quiet and she’s not destroying your stuff I’d say it’s a sign she’s happy and has everything she wants. Good luck with your pup 👍

I own a beagle and i didnt really know what beagles really are. my dog seemed quiet and lazy when i got him so i thought he would be a good dog that is low maintenance and I was wrong😬 he escapes his cage by opening it by himself he is really active, really loud when left alone very naughty I dont really have a body suited for being that active cause i have asthma and got a weak lower body and get bad headaches when tired. But on the positive side he’s nice, isn’t aggresive, and very affectionate and he may live long bcause of his breed(according to google) i still love him he may not be my type of dog but i still love him❤️

Thanks a lot. I am glad. And yes, beagles can sleep in Crates. Bello is young and she is still getting use to the new place. Leaving her siblings and mother can be hard for her. She may wake up in middle of the night and start barking/whining for first couple of weeks.
I have a 5 month old beagle (we got her at two months old). We did a lot of research because we were nervous as to why she would howl an bark allll night but it is completely normal for young beagle to do this. She has gotten better but she is still loud.

Yeah, beagles can be difficult sometimes. You can higher a dog walker to take him for long walks daily.

As far as have red they have the second strongest nose in all dogs after the bloodhound.
