  • Just a guy from Arkansas chasing his dreams of traveling the world and trying all the delicious food it has to offer!
Recently moved to Hong Kong from my small farm, I have now taken the time to get comfortable in this international hub full of delicious food! A street food lover, I will be focusing on unique places, using fresh ingredients, and easy for anybody to enjoy!
This will be the beginning of a serious where I take you to all the amazing and (somewhat) hidden cooked food markets all throughout Hong Kong!

My mom makes chicken congee and we squeeze lime juice, add bean sprouts, salty soy beans, fried chopped garlic. It’s super comforting. We eat it like how we eat pho or noodle soups. It’s so good! 😀

The biscuit analogy got to me. That's my comfort food. Nothing compares to Saturday morning breakfast growing up. Biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, tenderloin and made to order eggs in mommas kitchen. If a bowl of congee can take me there, I need to try it!👍

Congee is the best. I have it every morning for breakfast as its known for healing and comfort meal. It has so many health benefits too and poor working class from China would used to always rely on this to get by. Congee is definitely a dish I would recommend for college students or for anyone who's on a budget.

Good congee from Mui Kee, but portions are stingy for the price that they charge. As for the fried dough sticks, it is served in a bowl, all cut up in pieces, but it too looks rather small and I doubt if you put all the pieces together, they form the complete twinned dough stick (the customer gets short-changed).
