Thank you so much. I imagine I will do this again. I enjoyed writing it and putting a story with the shop. And you guys having such a lovely reaction def makes me want to do it again sometime❤
Muffin was the perfect name. Great story Ara. So sad, with a touch of the mysterious and a ray of hope. I hope Tess really did forgive the townspeople and herself and move on to have a good life.
And the coffee house looks so amazing! Putting it outside for a backdrop really let's you see all the details and picture how it would look in a small town. (And the "grass" blended right in with the grass).
Oh my! Years ago I was heavily invested in miniatures; two doll houses, country store, four themed rooms, various miniature scenes, making furniture, creating florals, etc. So much joy! But downsizing became a necessity and all was boxed and stored away. With minimum unused space in my new home, moved on to card making and now junk journals. (Inspired by a card making friend and you tube.). I actually have two new dollhouse kits under my card making table = foot rest. I accidentally happened upon your channel today and I am so glad I did. I first watched you make a tree and now this one. I love the story (and wonder, is it true?) and will be looking at all your tutorials! You have woken up a tingling inside of me that I had back when I was working in miniatures. So thank you very much. I do have enough room to create a scene such as you have with the coffee shop and I still have all my materials, tools, many boxes of stuff to use, thank goodness! I am so excited that I come across you today and look forward to getting into my storage garage and spending some of this social down time enjoy watching the coffee shop creation and all of your other videos and along getting into my miniatures and start creating something again. WOW, lucky me because of you!
Thank you for the kind words and I am so glad to hear my video sparked some inspiration!! I have really enjoyed working on smaller 1-room projects because of the size issue and I feel like I can complete things a bit faster than trying to do an entire house!
Omg, that sounds exactly like me. I had to move out of my house to a small apt for health reasons and don't have room for the stuff I was making so turned my attention to painting and journals. Now I want to get back into making minis. I really miss it. And these vids are so inspiring, she's amazing.😊
I have enjoyed your series on the abandoned coffee shop, and the story was amazing. You made it all come together so perfectly. You leave me in awe. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Wow that was amazing Ara 😍👍 I was not expecting that!!!!!!! You are one talented Lady. 😍I just love your story and it certainly gives life to and meaning to your whole project. I even had a tear😂. Brilliant work.🌸.Now I can't wait to see what you have next for us, after that. Your Brilliant. 🙌🙌🙌💕🌺
This was wonderful. I’ve enjoyed watching the creation of your shop. My classes took your tutorial on the bricks and created on real scale to make an 8’x10’ brick wall as a backdrop for one of our concerts. I can’t wait to see what you do next.
Cleverly written and told. Tess was there at her mom's passing. I wanted to yell at the towns ppl. Lol, I was so involved and engrossed in the story. 😀
That my young Lady was Fabulous! You are so creative! You should write short stories or even a novel! I want the first autographed copy! 😀 You certainly know how to trigger emotions! Or maybe a stage play, movie! We don't really know what happened to Tess, so there's a lot more to this story. This is only the beginning. I see stars in your future! Can't wait to see MORE about Tess!
Thank you so much Delores! I have definitely thought about writing. I think I just like to create worlds and stories... which can be done both visually and with the written word. If I got that route some day I will let you know❤
The story wasn't what I thought it would be but it's clear you put a lot of thought into every part of the diorama and how it relates to the story. Great job!
Thank you Lindsey❤ What's great about dioramas is each person can take their own story from it. ;) Feel free to write one yourself too. Some people shared some on my FB page and they were all so different and fun to read❤
I had enjoyed this series so much . I had looked forward to each installment every time it was listed, And even though I watched most episodes at least 3-4 times I had managed to learn something new every time. Thank you much. I would so love it if you did another series like this. You’re amazing love . Zena
Thank you so much Zena 💖 Your comment means so much to me and I am so glad you enjoyed the series! I hope you will enjoy the next project just as much!!
The abandoned coffee shop is so detailed. I love how you put it all together. You have a wonderful imagination and very talented. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story you wrote along with your beautiful work.
That was wonderful experience. I binge-watched all the coffee shop videos and your attention to detail and willingness to listen to suggestions and then incorporate them into your vision was inspired. The final story ties all the pieces together and explains the truly abandoned nature of the shop. Not even a thief would enter and touch anything, but now life returns to the ruins. I have just recently retired after 30 years in a very mind-consuming job and I am finding You-Tube videos to try and reawaken the creativity I had in my youth and your channel is just what I was looking for. The music is unobtrusive, your voice is sweet and easy to listen to and your projects interest me greatly. I have always loved the process of decay on objects, maybe because I grew up very near an abandoned building still full of all the items of a home and the sad story connected to it. Sorry that I seem to have written a book here, but I have so enjoyed your videos and I plan to watch all of them and look eagerly forward to your new ones.
Thank you for your kind words Patricia! And it makes me so happy every time I hear someone liked the story of the Abandoned Coffee Shop! Happy retirement and happy creating!💖💖 If you are on FB I have a page there where we share our builds every Wednesday if you ever want to join in! ;)
I know I’m super late to see this but i have spent all day yesterday and most of tonight watching all the coffee shop playlist and YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Seriously one of the most talented people I have ever seen. You have great imagination with skills that can make whats in your head come to life. The industrial shelf makes perfect sense to be in there since her dad had a fix it business. I would imagine he also fixed the radio. Im blown away. Thank you for sharing what you do with us. 😍.
I am so glad you enjoyed the series and the story at the end Lauren! I have to give a lot of credit to my subscribers too😊 This was such a fun project that we all worked together on. I hope to write more stories with my future projects as I find that aspect so fun💖 Thank you for all the kind words!
I love your story. I had to listen to it several times to gather all the details about the abandoned coffee house and the people involved. You captured and put on paper a realistic story for your miniature creation. Thank you for sharing!!!
Something that I also was very impressed by,is the filming of this. It really looks like it’s full size and belongs in the natural outdoor setting. That in itself is an amazing feat 😮❤️ love it😘 Great talent
Thank you Diana! It was amazing how a little sunlight and wind really seemed to bring it to life! I didn't really do that much except get a sunburn ;) lol!
Ara this was so enjoyable! I loved the story and all the details from the series make so much sense now. I hope you will make this type of video for all of your future projects too! Thank you for being one of my biggest miniature inspirations! 😊
I just found Your Channel a few days ago and I've fell in love with Your Channel!!! I thought this was an Awesome Story and Build!!Thanks So Much for sharing Your Beautiful Creations on RUclips 🤘💙
I literally binged all of the coffee shop videos and was so inspired by your talent and storytelling that I ordered my very first minuature coffee shop kit. I am looking forward to this new adventure. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Loved the story so much and your attention to detail is incredible.
I just discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago. You are a fantastic storyteller, and have so many other creative skills. It’s fascinating watching you work. Also I run my own very small coffee shop that I inherited from my parents, so this project is really close to my heart. I’m so glad I found your channel.
Great story! Love how the ending had an uplifting, positive note. Well done, Ara! So enjoy watching your creations "come to life" even if the are abandoned😊. Look forward to what you get up to next😊😀🤗
Thank you Khazbar! I did really want it to end on a good note so I am glad that came across ;) I originally set the scene in fall but then decided on Spring because I feel like Spring is the most "hopeful" season.
Thank you for taking me on an adventure. You truly are a great story telling and submerging people into another world/life. So many feels! Congrats, sis!
Holy c@!$ !!!!! I can’t believe this storytelling jewel has been hiding from me for two years!!! I have recently become a big fan of this channel and this piece is a testament to the great talent and creativity of the maker. I was enraptured by the story which I think was only made creepier by the fact I was drinking my morning coffee as I watched the video. I laughed as I caught myself setting down my mug as I heard the part about the boiling coffee inside the shop patrons. Great job!!!!!
Wow I love everything about the shop!! And your story was perfect! Thank you so much for everything you share and all your hard work! I have learned so much and I'm amazed at all you do!
Just finished this playlist, and I have to say I *love* this story and diorama!!! Your creativity inspires me. I'm a newbie to all this, and your videos have already taught me so much!
I have only recently stumbled upon miniatures as a hobby and am so happy to have discovered you and your work. Truly beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for all of the content you have created on your channel- I am so excited to create using techniques I have learned through your videos!
I am a fairly new subscriber to your channel. I just want to tell you that you are my favorite miniaturist because you explain everything and make it all look so easy. You inspire me and so many others! I also love your sense of humor! I'm so glad I found your channel! Thank you for taking us on the journey of this project and all of the others! Many blessings to you!
This is SO good! I love your story, and your narration is perfect. Very well written, Ara. Poor Tess...I hope she is happy somewhere...somewhere without padded walls! I think you are on to something here...I can’t wait to show this to my grandkids. They will love it as much as I do. 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely Amazing! I was feeling a bit worn and depressed this evening and came across your video, I'm impressed (and inspired) by so much creativity. The story seemed a bit overwhelming at first and I was afraid it would be a true horror story, but it took a lovely turn of peace and forgiveness, I'm actually feeling more hopeful and looking forward to a good night of rest and a fresh new day.
An intriguing story, very well told and brilliant to listen to. Please can you come up with another themed room box and tell the story of that one too
Thank you so much.
Thank you Heather! I was amazed at how much the moving grass made it come alive! I like to think that Tess went the forgiveness route as well❤
Oh my! Years ago I was heavily invested in miniatures; two doll houses, country store, four themed rooms, various miniature scenes, making furniture, creating florals, etc. So much joy! Aw that was beautifully written! Every corner of this piece tells part of the story. :)
Thank you so much Ash💖
That is beautiful! A straggling piece of police crime tape would be a nice touch!
Oh that is great idea!!
Loved the story, really brings the coffee shop to life, as it were!
Thank you Jenny! I am so glad you enjoyed it💖
i know that the story is a work of fiction but it was so emotional and i feel that it shows alot of what is happening around the world to this day.
Dang.... I need to call my mom. Yeah, and go visit her when it's safe. Awesome videos, miniature and story!
Very well done, both story and diorama. I'm glad that I have been along on the ride.

This was wonderful. I’ve enjoyed watching the creation of your shop. My classes took your tutorial on the bricks and created on real scale to make an 8’x10’ brick wall as a backdrop for one of our concerts. I can’t wait to see what you do next.
That's amazing! If you post photos of it anywhere online I would love to see❤
Cleverly written and told. Tess was there at her mom's passing. I wanted to yell at the towns ppl. Lol, I was so involved and engrossed in the story. 😀
Wow! Super story! Really creepy and somewhat sad also. Love the coffee shop. You are very talented and I can't wait for your next miniature project!

Aww thanks Tracy😊❤❤
That is so sad!!!! An I can't believe the coffee shop series is over. I feel so bad for Tess. I feel bad for her parents too.
Yes it did end up being a sad story. I figure most abandoned places have some kind of sad story. But that's why I wanted to end it with hope ;)❤❤
Thank you, what a great story! The lighting and sounds and wind look great too, I love the grass blowing around :)
Thank you Jillian! I feel like it really made the scene come alive. I didn't expect that until I was out in the field filming😉
Your story made me cry! I love your work!
Well worth the wait. Your story pulled all the wonderful details of the project together so nicely.
Thank you Sarah!!💖💖
