I think it would be cool to have a advanced randomized cure that relies on you slowly gathering results on tests that give you small clues on how to make it.
This is the only way I could imagine indie stone actually adding it to the game

@@saggyshaggy5681 I would want it to be difficult to the level of near impossibility. I could imagine a kickass quest to try and save your character when you have the infection time set to like 2 weeks.
@@theoverseer4886 They wouldn't add it, because the vanilla game is meant to not have any ending to it except death. If a cure was added, no matter how difficult it was to get it, the game would have an end goal, which isn't the purpose of it.

I love this. A lone scientist trying desperately to avoid his fate, and buy time… What an amazing story!
Also a perfect bittersweet ending. Like he did it he found a cure... Now what? It's not like any sort of civilization left that he can distribute the cure to. A major victory in a war humanity already lost.

Yeah I think this was more like, acts of desperation leading to confidence and character development due to his success with the cure trials.
The makers of this mod really made a great job on the process to get the cure.
Also, it feels weird seeing your character achieve it, and wanting to help others, yet having no one to share the cure with.

Listening to this feels like my survivor found a lost notebook and is reading it in their safehouse to wait out the rain and the night, I'm on the edge of my seat and I can't wait to hear the conclusion...
These "journal"-like storytelling videos are GREAT, Zomboid is the perfect game for creating this sort of dramatic content. Your channel is criminally underrated and I hope you get more subs soon. Keep it up man!

If you like this type of video, I also recommend Ambiguous Amphibian. His style is very similar, but he sometimes goes on philosophy and literature tangents in his narration. Both of these channels are very entertaining

In my multiplayer world there's a cure that spawns on one in every one million zombies and we've only collected a few from real life months playing, my clinic has hope for the hopeless thanks in full to the hard work and indomitable spirit of survival possessed by Doctor Edward. I, Doctor Maxine Dutchess, as well as every patient I've cured over the course of my horror story practice, humbly thank you for saving our world.

I dont know if it was on purpous or a "happy little acident" but i love how the bloodynes of the clothing represents the state of the character. Starting as a clean doctor and scientist progresivly decending into madness over that one goal he set up for him self. Slowly geting closer to finishing his work as well as falling into insanity. All the while the state of his robes is geting worse and worse...but than...sudenly...he has done it...he reached his goal...he is clean now...but the room...the world is not (pause the video on this frame exacly 14:53)
oh my GOD! I absolutely loved this! From the narrating to the editing to the sound effects. You really knocked it out of the park. Question though, did you have a zombie bite you to start off the challenge or did you spawn in with a bite preset?

Great video! Maybe to be continued with "Is-there-a-world-to-save?" An escapade of the doctor to save humanity with obvious bumps along the way, such as raiders and so on. Just an idea. Keep doing the great work.

ive always liked mods that add a cure because generally without it the second you’re made bleed by a zombie its time to go next, whereas with a cure your entire life changes into searching for that elusive savior
Great video and showcase of the mod. I tried to use it but was overwhelmed by the burden of immediate survival and did not have the chance to dig deeper. It's pretty cool and relatively immersive if you roleplay as someone with a scientific background

Just imagine you cure yourself, and then you have to run out for food and supplies, and then you get bit again.
An amazing video and great emotional storytelling. I think your voice and editing style lend itself well to these types of story focused narrative. This mod might be replacing other cure mods like 'They Knew' in my load order

I don't feel like I watched a PZ video. I feel like I watched someone craft a narrative, complete with dramatized cues, tone, and incredible music shifts that simply used PZ as a medium to do so. I had to remind myself that this was based off of a playthrough you actually did. Huge bonus points for working the helicopter event into the narrative too.

If anything, your narration is just epic. Had you been born in medieval ear, you'd have been a bard or something - telling tales of a bandit surviving a winter and your listeners will think that dude was a viking hero going on a saga
Man this was so good. I could just see a movie made upon this because this script was just that good, cinema level. The concept of a scientist finding a cure to a biological catastrophe and overcoming mountainous obstacle I feel is an underrated topic.
Things got so intense and exciting at the ending that I nearby cried, the music really brought up some intensity

This episode has a very good story to it. I know it's just you playing a mod on Project Zomboid, but the narration you gave made this video that much better to watch. I like that despite the horrid circumstances, your character makes it to finish his goal. Even better is that he denies the possible government help at 13:00 just to ensure he completes his work. You did very well in both the gameplay and narration. Great work!

One of the mods that stops you from being infected is really cool, you still get sick from infection but will recover, which is pretty realistic since you still hate the effects of infection. But at least can continue to recover and play the game. However if unlucky it you can get killed right away from a single bite.

Those who are asking for you to add sprinting zombies to this must not want much of a show. It would be over before it started. The Rage virus zombies are some of the most deadly zombies ever created. Freaks running at full speed who don't get tired and having 15 of them around every corner. I never last longer than 10 minutes.

Not only does it bring medic back into the game but it's not broken at alll. its quite hard, resource heavy to make the cure and u can still die by been dragged down and such.
One issue i have,you can make jars but no way to get jar lids XD

This mod could and honestly should be added to the game officially, or at least as a playable scenario. This adds an entirely different playstyle and core objective unlike anything I've seen in Project Zomboid to date.

This is one of my favorite mods. Never cured myself, but making the "extention" drugs while I keep working on a cure is 100% more fun than drinking bleach every bite.

Theorically, using the serum for long enough to slow down the infection, your immune system would sooner or later learn to fight the disease. I heard it usually takes a little while for your body to start it's defense, but if the pathogen was unknown to your body, the disease may as well still win. So, if you slow down/make the infection retreat, then your system could create an anti-body.
Of course, this is a game, but in real life, this should work.
I think a Dead Rising "Zombrex" would be a neat idea, a way to buy you more time but not prevent the end. It makes it a chore since you will need a other shot and you will need to risk going back to the city to get more of the drug.
I never view content of project zomboid in english, but, your narration is satisfactory

Absolutely nailed the feeling for the story. While I personally didn't like the slow turn into a homicidal scientist, felt a little strange. The story, stakes, character development, pure fucking perfection. I think I found some new videos to binge.
i've been playing the mod for a little bit now and it took me like a month to assemble the workbench, but then i realized, making the workbench was among the easiest things to assemble in themod, this is pain, the only way to also gain xp in first aid is to be emo and self harm by jumping out of a broken window or letting zombies bite you so you can heal urself and gain xp, its complete torture but i love it

@@AreanFilms the server I am on has over two hundred mods and is stable. First server that I logged on to. It’s called [SG]KWRR I believe. So many cool things, power armor from Fallout, a trader. The admin told me about a lot of stuff. I haven’t even scratched the surface.
Man, I need more profession RP videos like this. I can only imagine what different way every individuals with certain professions could thrive in zombie apocalypse.

I would love to see how things will go on for the doctor. With a cure, many survivors will gather with him and eventually form a group that will have to battle, not just for survival, but to take back the world. Though they have a cure, they still have to face millions of zombies that can't be brought back and hostile groups of survivors that would either kill them all or use the cure for their own selfish goals. This would make an excellent plot for multiplayer roleplay.

The effort put into this is amazing.. The music, the editing, the passion.. It felt like a very short film made right.
Indie stone does not like cures, but maybe if they made it difficult to get, like 4 weeks into the game of research, looking at notes of deceased doctors, and researching corpses and other things, and maybe with npcs, they share their discoverys with you, you can make the cure, and if your in multiplayer, maybe you can inject your undead friend with the cure when they are restrained and bring them back. But neverless the suspense at knowing even a scratch can kill you is still good
