Wow, the character development was good. From a doctor who was hopeful to save humanity, to a man who suffered at the hands of the people he tried to save. Really loving the series so far! I wonder what's next in store for Ethridge 🤔

i love how this series was built on the foundation of "i downloaded a cure mod for project zomboid, can i manage to make a cure for the virus?" and it just grew bigger and bigger upon that. creators like you show how any situation or experience can be used to tell a great and engaging story

There's a possibility he either has to abandon ship after being shot by a chopper, and he ends up swimming back to knox county. Or he sails to kingsmouth island and finds out that the virus has spread even further.
If it goes this way it feels like this would be him passing his story onto the next generation of survivors, letting them learn from his mistakes, letting them know his lessons
Maybe he'll meet another survivor on said island?
"I made the cure, but at what cost?"
"did I take too much time?"
"They're not zombies, but why are they trying to kill me?"
this story is hella good!
Maybe those people were the cause of the infection. And maybe they think they bring peace to the world or something . but maybe. There are people that want to end this.

I feel like this series is reaching its finale soon, but so far the story telling has been great man. Here's to hoping Edward gets a nice happy ending on an island far away :)
I feel like he might extend it a little more before ending it, like maybe... *9 episodes before ending with the 10th.*

Very deep man, that speech at the end can also apply to life in general. I've kinda hit that moment in life where... it's like, I wanna be with people but at the same time I don't and for those that shun me out I get it. They are the same way. That's just another thing about PZ and it's content creators; it's a thing of beauty with how deep and philosophical everything can get. Makes you think. Amazing stuff. In a way this feels like life and I feel like I'm in my element when roaming the zombie wastes.
Did not, I repeat, did not expect to watch such a heartfelt piece of fiction like this series today. Beautiful. Splendid.

The concept of him wanting to use a sailboat to live on an island reminds me so much of Bill's plan from L4D1 (The Sacrifice comics) I love it!
I am absolutely LOVING this series so far, you made the footage and edited it so well, I honestly feel like I'm watching a show! The character development is so good, the action is really well paced and you just tell the story so amazingly! I can't wait for the development/end!!!
Imagine he starts a radio channel, and with his last remaining good will and fait in humanity he tells survivors that the island is a safe place for people, but only if you actually want to contribute on its growth, starting his own little nations of survivors, maybe he could even call it like Survivors Without Frontiers or something...
Loving the series btw, there is so much potential for the island narrative-wise, can't wait to see what you do with it!

I am officially a Arean and project zomboid fan. Not many people make it interesting but I'm invested now
Here is an idea : when you get too the Island after 10 days you find corpses and a loaded shotgun with some magazines of a rifle (optional witch rifle) after you search the island you find 2 survivors with a baby the man has an (the rifle witch you chose) and says:”Stand back or else!” You do what he says and ask if he knew a direction too a safe place he brings you a helicopter in decent shape but it needs fuel he says:”You get fuel for this helicopter you can take it my family will take the boat tho.” (Optional you take the deal) You take the deal: You check your gas can has half a gallon left you go look around some more on the island you find some more gas cans too fuel the helicopter for 1 and a half days you start the helicopter up after a few minutes you get the hang of driving it after almost a day you find land then you land on a helipad then 2 army soldiers come out from a almost abandoned looking bunker and say :”Hands where I can see em” you do what the man says and head in the bunker…(option 2) you say no and get in your boat and and leave after 3 hours you run out of gas but too your surprise after 3 days you hear a helicopter you signal it and it see’s you and rescue’s you….
The suspense on car chase! It was funny, later, that I felt that in Project Zomboid video, but that's thanks to creator, who can put such a great video. Can't wait for another one!
Damn...damn that was hell out of a series from someone trys to help the humanity to someone who wants to be as far as possible from them that was one of the best project zomboid series i saw if it wasn't the best

Many people are sad this series ended. I say it ended when it needed to end. Didnt extend it further. He ended it when it felt natural. It was just... perfect

Really well written stories. At times like these you really have to ask the hard question: Does humanity deserve to be saved? Our selfishness would say yes at any cost, yet look at the behavior of humanity at its most desperate hour. You have some that band together, others that act like predators. Morality is an ever changing philosophy based on experiences if a person. When someone commits a crime against you what do you do? Do they deserve to die, tortured? You're human side would demand retribution in the name of "justice". What is justice though? Is it an emotional satisfaction to see an offender be condemned, is it more human to forgive? You could make days long conversations on a dogma discussing what it is to be human, and does humanity really deserve to be saved.
Look at the real world today. We hurt each other, and our planet with our desire to be comfortable. We also help each other, and try to clean up pollution made by us.
So I always ask just one question: Does humanity deserve to be saved?
Genuinely love this narrative style of Zomboid, I'd love to see more!

at first i thought it was a cool 10 minute video of finding a cure to PZ but it turned out to be a really cool series

dude i love this series you have to make more of it, even if its just like kinda growing alittle bit out of the roleplay i think its amazing.
Great video/narration! Also, there is a horror game called darkwood (it has no jumpscares but most people are still too scared to play it) which originally was intended to be something like project zomboid with a focus on home defense, now they are quite different but i would still be glad to watch its gameplay with your narration even though i have passed the game twice. There is a lot of space for your narration there because the game barely explains anything so you can make up some details and they probably wont be revealed later in the game. Please check it out but i dont quarantee it wont literally scare you off.

Such a satisfying ending to the story of this amazing doctor I now wonder where he shall go from here. Also I GOT to know what microphone you use these videos are just so great to enjoy during a nice peaceful game of Project Zomboid.
I can see this being a running series that goes on with characters tied to the doctor maybe even get Duck or Nurse involved. OMG WHAT IF NURSE AND THE DOCTOR TEAMED UP TO GROW A COMMUNITY OF SURVIVORS? ( Could be a awesome server idea. )

2:32 I know this is just a pre-formed plot but I still had to LoL at how you're trying to be noble about the idea of getting your car stolen. In the wild west stealing someones horse was consistently punished by death. This is because the horse thief had essentially condemned their victim to die with no means of transportation in the harsh wilderness. You not wanting to pass judgment on them is seriously ironic since that was exactly what they just did to you.
Most intrigued i've been in a project zomboid story ever, amazing content and can't wait for more!

Imagine a survivor goes to stranded to unknown island and seeing being pointed gunpoint by a old charted, beaten, one eyed man. The survivor looks as if hope coming through his lightless eyes and said "You're the legend! We've been looking for you everywhere! The cure maker himself Dr. Edward. Please once again make the vaccine and virus to stop this one for all." The doctor seems to regain some of faith in humanity
