I guess so, they’re really 2 completely different businesses with different strategies for success so you’d essentially be running something different on Etsy and something different on shopify
Correct me if I'm wrong. The challenge I have with Shopify is that 1 shop equals 1 niche. If I suddenly stumble upon a nice new niche, the only way to take advantage of it is to open a new Shopify store just for that niche. In contrast, with Etsy, I see most POD sellers cover a few niches in one shop and it seems to be working for them. I'd love your thoughts on that.
Joe, have you ever tried RUclips as a marketing channel? If not, what are your reasons? You have the option to use influencers here as well. I agree using influencers are a powerful marketing tool.
Joe, you have 490 videos and YTs channel search tool does not work. I'll never find your RUclips videos without scrolling through your entire catalog. Could you give my a link(s)?
Thanks for the helpful video! In your opinion, on platforms like Etsy, Redbubble etc. is it better to create a shop for each niche or a single shop for all niches? With more shops I would have the advantage that if one of them were to close, I would still have the others and I would not lose everything.
I prefer shopify because my 3 etsy account just randomly get suspended for not even doing anything and you literally dont have any control over anything because etsy support team sucks
@@RealJoeRobert Etsy also took my sign-up money 3 times. They re-instated 3 times (I have their emails) and then suspended all 3 permanently. I couldn't log in with the email addresses I used as I was shut down. So I couldn't contact Etsy anymore. Watch out for this way for Etsy to take your money and not reimburse you. Total Fraud. So I'm going to build a Shopify store. Thanks for the Shopify videos. (Please warn others thinking of using Etsy).
My 3 just got hit yesterday, I appealed, theybdenied the appeal.and said I was a TOS risk and to tidy up my sales and eat shyt basically, everything is deactivated, and they have completely fcked me for q4 for no reason whatsoever, they won't even have a conversation with me about what just happened.
I don't sell on Etsy in this video I was sharing my reasons for choosing Shopify. With Etsy from people I've talked to the key is being able to upload a high volume of designs, consistently
@@RealJoeRobert I heard you say that, but I'm confused. You don't have to create a lot of designs consistently in a Shopify store? You just create 30 designs (for example) and let it ride indefinitely?
@reinadeltiempo what I was trying to say is that growing your catalog constantly with Shopify is not a priority at all, which is kind of the opposite of Etsy. I haven’t made a new design for one of my stores in 3 months
@@RealJoeRobert we don't go for 'low competition bad niches'. We choose a niche we know well, irrespective of the competition. Then we search for relevant low competition, high search volume keywords. Same principle is used in SEO across platforms including Google and WordPress. And by the way, the research tool I use to find these wonderful opportunities costs me $5 a month. Has paid for itself many times over.
Who noticed he sailed,”hey Joe, it’s folks here”!!!!!!
Lmao he does that on purpose 😬
He always says that lol
If you know, you know.
I've heard of lots of people getting their Etsy stores banned for no good reason so it's important to have a Shopify store no matter what

They’re two different strategies for sure, Shopify stores should do something specific well.

How much I need to invest?
Start with $100?
What is the most important things on etsy pod store? Research and designs?

We can’t use Etsy in Japan. :(
I didn’t know that!

@edgerefined4737 you've got it mate! A Woo shop is the only kind you really do own yourself and have total control over 😀
How did you know I was wondering about this?

I think you might be confusing keywords with niches 😊

I think the title is backwards
The title was intentional, I reviewed the reasons why Etsy is better than Shopify, I just happen to disagree with them and gave reasons why
Can you help us with designs?
