- It has taken a long time, but Qantas' first delivered A380, registration VH-OQA, has re-entered commercial service. The over-16-year-old quadjet was the 14th A380 built, based on its Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN).

Great to hear. Everyone that has flown on the 380 loves them.
I don’t 🤷♂️
Glad to hear that Qantas’ first A380 has finally returned to service!
I have flown on the Qantas A380 (and the 747-400er) multiple times on QF12 and QF11 between JFK and SYD. And I loved every second of it.
Glad to hear they're bringing them back in style
Great news for Qantas and the 380, hopefully the remaining 4 will all be back into service later this year or early 25.
Glad to have you back Big guy😊😊
Way to go mate 😊
The A380 is the best long haul aircraft I've ever flown on (with QF). Smooth quiet spacious and the passenger experience beats the 747 and other long haul jets hands down.
Qantas A380, their best plane in the sky, BY FAR !!!!
Couldn’t agree more
Incredible that any of them are being scrapped. They aren’t making any more of them.
This the hero for landing safely
Lovely with strength going on best Airbus ever quietest and safe travel
I can't believe the a380 is almost 20 years old
Flew it from Singapore to London in 2019. Great flight.
I mostly fly the A380 from Sydney to Lax
Went Melbourne LA , very smooth , surprisingly comfy in cattle, I’m a fan of the A380
Yay! 🎉
I use to commute between Melb and Aspen Colorado. A380 Mel to LAX was the best. It was ever so quiet and Best value was Premium economy (exit rows).
was on the inaugural flight in Oct 2008. MEL-LAX, Some ex-A380 routes pre-COVID still use 787's, eg SYD-DFW. obviously more profitable
Flown all classes on the QA380 fleet and must say, economy isn't so bad, but business class is the sweet spot!
I saw the OQA 380 being tow to the hangar just last week.
Awesome wish they brought the A380 Syd-dfw back
Delta 777-200LR should return
Not really
Leased to Air India
All booking engines should allow aircraft selection. And of course allow deselecting 737 MAX
The Max is probably the safest aircraft in production after all the scrutiny.
@@MrFredericandre that is what the passengers thoughon the Alaskan flight when "the door fell off"
My only experiences on the A380 are on Emirates and Qantas, both great experiences, except for the fact that Qantas has no WiFi.
i think it's coming?
@@AndyPat239Yes, it's coming, but they've been behind the game for too long
VH-OQA. She's the Flying Carpathia!!
what about Sydney-Hong Kong?
Shame there isn't a reengine option to keep them flying longer.
Not surprising Qantas is running some of the oldest aircraft out there.
Had some pretty poor experiences on Qantas A380 about ten years ago, but that was more to do with ticketing policies and cabin crew procedures. The entertainment system went out of date very rapidly (super slow) but that's not really the plane's fault either, and the technology may have been the victim of bad timing when the purchase happened.
My experience with the a380 was with Qatar Airways 2 tears ago from OTBD to EGLL
I also wonder why Qantas scrapped 2 younger a380s than the one in the video
VH-OQE and VH-OQF (the 2 that were scrapped) were more viable parts donors than the older models. VH-OQA (the oldest in service) also has relatively less use due to its engine incident and COVID-19, having been in storage from 2010-2012 for repairs and 2020-2024 due to COVID, in total only about 12 years of use.
@@80smusic43 Makes sense now. Thanks
But I think the oldest A380 right now is Global Airlines, the MSN is 006. It was Delivered to Singapore Airlines.
i have photo of 3 qantas a380 while ive been in abu-dhabi airport
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ironically, when I watched this it had 747 likes.
Sadly, the gone of B747 and A380 with airports mostly replaced by 1-floor aircraft like B787 is kind of sad😢
I want that bck
I saw vhoqa going to la
I wonder why they kept this oldest bird flying, but already scrapped some slightly younger ones?

Qantas a380 came back but I don’t think their 747 can come 😢
Most are freighters or already scrapped!
2016 SYD-DFW; FRA-SIN; 2018 DFW-SYD;
Qantas flight 32😢
Delta
They charge top dollar to fly but planes oldddddddd AJ stuffed qantas OPEN UP AIRWAYS NOW
Why does qantas has such old planes
