For the mow in reverse switch, I got a giant plastic clamp and clamped down on the switch. Another stratagy is to get a thin metal wire and wrap it on both of the 2 connection terminals to the switch to short it out so it should work
Have had my E120 for four years now. It's never seen any fuel containing ethanol. That's a huge part of longevity. Same story for my pusher, which still starts on first pull every time, even coming back from extended non-use.
Uh instead of driving it off, I’m the back there is a L shaped metal lever sticking out and could disengage the transmission for east moving instead of possibly hurting yourself
Lehew ... if you'd bought this from a dealer, you'd had a lot less new owner problems. Second, had you read the owner's manual you'd had less problems as well. And from what I've seen in this video, don't undo your safety features you need them.
@@LehewTech Still haven't read the owner's manual have we ? I headed up the logistics dept for a 28 store JD dealer group, and on two Saturday's a month sold lawn mowers during the warm NC weather. Your break-in oil is totally used up after just 20 hours, the damage to the engine may already be done. I have older models from JD that use the standard oil filter and use Mobil Synthetic 30 weight, your's, the quick change system, do it soon. And the RIO ... leave it alone, use it. I've seen those who use it after about 6 hours of mowing it's automatic to hit the switch before the pedal.
I'd have just put a few cups of gasoline in it for the initial checkout. If you return something, typically they require it back with NO gasoline in it. You like living dangerously. No way I'd have driven it down that ramp, pushed instead with me OFF it. With that hill, probably should get a set of chains for the rear wheels.
Most John Deere mowers are assembled and inspected by a John Deere employee before they go to the showroom floor at Lowes. That one looks pretty sketchy.
Just wire off the switch make contact that all switch does and keep it running it just safe switch and when push it come peat circlet, the foot paled brake circlet and button come peat circlet again !!
Interested in tractor. Decided on the S130 I think. And local dealer got one in this week, only one.. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else for the last couple months. Not sure if supplies will be hard to come by in spring too. So I believe I'll get it. That reverse thing with the mower kind of stinks. The quick oil system looks like it stinks but easily converted. It seems to be the best model for what I need. A step up from the base, to base models.
It's suppliers I was interested in these s140 and talked to my local and he said they had no eta on when they'd get the s140 in but were getting the 120 and 130s in I locked myself in on one
I just got my S130 a couple of days ago. The oil is good. I checked and it was at the perfect level. Probably because of the easy change deal. My PTO is manual, which I think I prefer. Used the mower for the first time today and my clothes stained the seat. 😕
The easiest way to disable reverse implement is to unplug the the connector at the transmission near the right rear tire.
When I saw your ramp, I thought "one inch from disaster". Glad it worked !!
We bought a 130 used with 70hrs in 2016 and now it has 189hrs. Been perfect, not one problems
I had a small ditch I could just back in and load. Priceless.
It doesn't 'struggle' on hills. It spins the tires which is expected going up a steep hill on grass with lawn tires.

All you have to do is go under the hood, find the 2 wires coming from the button, cut them & cap em off together issues resolved.
Just curious if your fuel gauge/hour meter has died yet. Seems to be a huge problem with JD made around this time frame.
I have 20 hours on this tractor and it still works
How do you start it the parking brake button is up on mine and won't go down and the clutch brake is stuck can you help me
I can’t remember seeing someone so unprepared for life.
I really enjoyed your make shift ramp more than the mower…great job!
You could strap that ramp to the bumper so it cant slide backwards, its an annoying extra step but i think its a necessary precaution.
My la 125 is 14 years old.never any issues got a new e130 couple years ago just do ur normal maintenance and that will last u a long time

The blades will not engage with the parking brake on. Just FYI.
Yes they will …if you get off the mower with the blades engaged and the parking brake on the engine will die.
No Auto Choke! All the way up with the throttle and hold there while cranking.
I have a portion of my yard that is so hilly, it's like going up a ninja wall, but if you go straight ahead on the mower it works fine.
Cool video that ramp was sketchy though.🤣
Gotta run whatchu brung
What was the promotional deal? I am looking for near me. 2199 is what they asking here?
That's what I paid
Hi, it seems I can’t even get the tractor to go forward. Any idea?
there is a metal clip in the back behind the seat. if its pulled out the mower will not move
Uh instead of driving it off, I’m the back there is a L shaped metal lever sticking out and could disengage the transmission for east moving instead of possibly hurting yourself
Yeah good idea.. hopefully he can break the fall and take the brunt of it without hurting the mower 🤣

It's been over a year mower still running strong I haven't even changed the oil yet

Good idea on the gasoline. Some air leaked out of the tires and now it can run up steep hills without issue
Yeah either way my mowers I have few steep hills that’s why I usally get a with a decent horsepower and big wheels, and I usually put chains on them

The tired come overinflated from the store. You need to take a ton of air before your first mow.
As air slowly leaks out of the tires it keeps getting better traction
Waiting to hear back from you about my problem with the 2013 Chrysler 200 back lights: drivers side stop indicator is not working?
😂
I like it you got a good one
Your 1st lawn tractor?
I know what you mean 😮💨
Good thing it had factory oil.
Never seen a tractor go that fast lol
Next time read the manual first lol
It's in the trash
In 7 minutes you managed to beat the shit out of that
Gotta make sure it’s a good one while it’s still under warranty
Your first ride took 100 hours of life from it. Poor Lil tractor.

call a JD dealer
Nice mower

@@purplelinny you probably know this, but with stock oil change it at 25 hours!!
I haven't checked the oil or changed it this whole time
Bro went 70 mph 💀at 5:30
so why did you fill it with fuel if you just wanted to see if it ran .............would have been a real waste of time fuela nd effort if it didn't
Yup that’s cruise control
Battery issue I attribute to Lowe’s
All the mowers have that reverse button
Not Club Cadet.
just bought one because my Bolens deck cracked. I will miss my Bolens this looks like half the mower my 1900 Hydro is. Will be looking for a deck.
I can mow the lawn by myself cause i am 11
lol i have the x350 witch is the expenice
When all else fails, read the manual.
Just bought mine today 👍🇺🇸
What do you think about the button you have to press in order to mow in reverse?
I just bought mine today, wirenut the two wires together off the switch to delete the reverse button
Thanks for the info
That gas can...
Long drawn out waffle/next
My battery is tied down.
Walter loddo
Read the instructions first my man!
Ramp is hairy.
That mower won't last long I guess
When I break it il be sure to post a video about it
Not if you don't at least read the "quick start" instructions.
This guy doesn’t have a clue!
Dumb & Dumber?????
Piece of shit John Deere.
get yourself a kubota Boy....
ps or a (TACO) ;)
A kubota is way more expensive then that. Buy a simplicity and call it a day.
I’ve had my John Deere D110 since 2011, bought new for $1600. Use it every weekend when grass grows. Still going strong - no mechanical issues at all.
You must be a millennium....
Millennial?
Yes I am younger than 40 and older than 25 how perceptive of you
@@LehewTech This was an embarrassing video. Do you like women?
It won't last a year.
