Okay I think I understand. She memorised the exact order of all 1100 numbers. The judges then "picked" numbers and the assistants called out the position (so the 9th number in the 12th row). This lady had to then remember what number was in that exact position and assemble 3 separate phone numbers. She got 2 correct Did that make sense?
@@F_M20 There are 1100 numbers. Those numbers are 100 group of 11 numbers each. Then the groups are numbered according to their place(first 11 digits are group 1) (12-22 digits are group 2). Then after she memorized all of them, including the groups and their place, the staffs then cancelled out everything and then the last 3 remaining groups of 11 must be written in the paper.

@@davidmrk7485 There are world memory competitions, and many of the contestants in the show have participated in international competitions. It’s legit.
Everyones talking about how she's a memory savant and all that, but genuinely more impressed that she eas able to look at such a large cluster of numbers and not constantly lose place of which numbers she's at.
The only way she could keep track of the numbers and remember them is to divide sets of numbers and remember each set by the initial and last number, let's say "28562820473629" this set would be called 2-9 in her mind, so even if she lost track she would just need to look for those two numbers, still this takes serious training and focus, whichever method she used
One thing that I am astounded on that not many people speculated was that she remembered which group number each phone corresponded to after just listening to it once.
There are people who have what is called "super memory", in which many repetitions are not necessary, the first time the information is super recorded. Only people with this characteristic can do what she did. An average person can memorize all the numbers, but it will take a few days.
None of us ever remembered our roll numbers 😂 But they were in alphabetical order, sorted by our last names, so we managed to figure out the correct order on picture day (the only day in the year we'd need them). Otherwise everything ran through our names.
She memorises the numbers, the 1100 numbers are divided into 100 individual groups. These 100 groups are shuffled. For example if we have only 5 groups 12345 we might get 35241 if shuffled. Each item is shuffled by audible declaration which the girl ears when blind folded, she has to remember the order change by listening. So for 12345 and 35241, group 3 has moved to the first position, group 5 has moved to the 2nd position, etc. She has to do this for 100 categories which each contain 11 of the 1100 digits she just memorised. The judges randomly pull one of the original groups by referring to their new position. So for 12345 and 35241, if the judge pulls number 1 for example, that would refer to the first position of the shuffled group, which, as you could tell, is number 3. So she would then have to recite the numbers in the 3rd group.
This girl knew every single sin her husband did. Including every single food they eat on every single date they have. She event probably memorize the cost of every single meal.

I used a method for memorization that worked surprisingly well. I had just watched a video on memory, though I didn’t use the tips it said. I went on a walk with my parents and decided I wanted to try and remember something about the walk. I wanted to test my memory, so as we were walking I paid attention to everything around me, I repeated everything I saw in my head. I started to name the placement of fire hydrants and count the trees in a parking lot, I was trying to repeat what I had just seen over and over until getting to the next object or scene. Then, my parents asked me a question which distracted me from the moment of concentration. As soon as I finished answering, I shot right back into the repetition. I didn’t know if it worked and honestly didn’t really care, I did it for fun, I wasn’t expecting a result. A few days later, we decide to take a walk again, going in the same direction as the last. During the whole walk, I was naming everything that was different. The amount of cars in a parking lot, grass that had been mowed, I noticed every piece of trash on the ground that had been moved even in the slightest. My mother was looking at a poster on a wall ahead of me and said out loud “wonder what this is..” then I recited the paper to her without even reading it. That shocked me, I didn’t even know that I remembered it, it kind of just slipped out. The only thing was, there was a moment on that walk that I couldn’t remember, there was a fire hydrant I didn’t remember passing. I soon realized that was the moment my parents asked me that question, meaning paying attention to everything and making it super important to my brain that I wanted to remember it, was the whole reason I could recall it. To this day I haven’t been able to reach that level of concentration on memorizing things, but I can still remember everything about that walk 2 years later...

Alot of people seem in awe of her ability to remember numbers, but no one seems shocked by the fact that not only she remembers 1100 digits, she shortly after memorised how the positioning of the 100 groups changes immediately after. Just memorising by ear how the order of a 100 categories change as they are shuffled together is amazing. Doing this whilst implicitly knowing what the numbers are in each category is astounding, she must be a savant.
It’s easy people. All you need to do is replace 0 to 9 digits by consonants and remember those. Then come up with a word that consists of those 2 letters. It’s systematic, you can memorize row of numbers 6 by 6. So the main thing is, 6 digits goes like first 2 letter for person, 2 for verb, 2 for object. Then each 6 numbers have their own order, and that order has a place defined from 1-99 at least. Then, you come up with an imaginary story using those person, verb, and object at the place. Important thing is the story should be connected to your emotions to not forget easily. There you go, memorized without losing an order.

Hey are you a Directioner or Harry Styles
Alot of people seem in awe of her ability to remember numbers, but no one seems shocked by the fact that not only she remembers 1100 digits, she shortly after memorised how the positioning of the 100 groups changes immediately after. Just memorising by ear how the order of a 100 categories change as they are shuffled together is amazing. Doing this whilst implicitly knowing what the numbers are in each category is astounding, she must be a savant.
Yeah shut up it’s like the 20th comment with similar words I see. We all know she had to remember the words in sets.
