Thank you so much! You helped me make my backstory for my Earth Genasi. I had not a single clue about what Genasi are and that gave me so much ideas to make a cool and interesting Genasi that I would love to roleplay.
great video, never enough love for my favorite character "race". we had a huge 3 year campaign back in 3.5 we called "The Great Djinn War" where most of the big bads were different Djinns and all the PCs were Genasi. lots of angsty "angry at parents" backstories, but it worked in that one really well.
I think after the MPMM book the size portion of the video is not totally correct because you can be small now. Genasi can resemble humanoid creatures so now there could be small halfling or gnome like genasi. Also the ability score increases + abilities slightly changed. Great video brw top notch quality (sound,image..ect). Subbed for sure.

Tieflings and Fire genasi. There's nothing like having a character who literally smells like rotten eggs (brimstone).

If you encountered a genasi that looks to be made of pearl and coral, would you label them as a water genasi or an earth genasi?
That's a tough call. But, because they are associated with water, I'd consider them a water genasi.
Coral and pearls are both made by sea life, so I would definitely say water, not earth
My current genasi is a earth one with a polished pearl skin, I didn't even think of her being a associated with water.
