It's basically like if space and the Plane of Air were mixed/the same thing, with a lot of earthmotes, gods and epic-scale creatures and forces in an endless airy void, and Victorian Britain tried to conquer it with giant steam locomotives instead of ships. It's as weird and awesome as it sounds if not moreso.

    Wait, quick question because this may have been something I missed: do the Aarakocra not have anything to do with the Elemental Plane of Air? I don't think I heard you mention them. Of course, maybe there just wasn't enough time to include them, but I would be interested in a video about them (maybe you've already done one already of course, which would then explain it).

    • @platiuscyndar9017
      @platiuscyndar9017 3 года назад +5

      Aarakocra originate from the Elemental Plane of air. That said, any Aarakocra you might encounter in the material plane could very well have been born there, and possibly never even seen the boundless blue considering their short lifespans. Then again, you only need 5 aarakocra to open a portal to it so they might very well have been there anyways.

      Definite oversight considering they're a player race heavily tied to the Endless Blue being enemies of creatures of the Anvil and frequently combating them, pretty important stuff

    This place sounds like bliss. I'd sell my soul to be a gryphon in that place.

    in my game there are many air elementals who see it as having dust trapped in their shape as a status symbol as dust is relatively rare in the plane of the air

    I know this is not the right video or anything, but I have a Rogue in a campaign who is now known as "The Unicorn". Well, sort of, no one knows that it's him.
    And it's purely because one of my friends saw your video about Unicorns and decided it would be a good title because of the idioms you had referenced in it, as he had repeatedly completely evaded capture or even detection from guards, other thieves, assassins and even a couple of Wizards.
    That said, I love your videos, great stuff to pop onto a speaker and just going about my chores. Keep it up!

    Don't know if no one commented on this, but the water wartex can be made by controlling air streams that create vacuum. Saying that water has NO pressure in the elemental plain of water is also incorrect because otherwise it would be vapour and not a liquid. Also if there was 0 pressure in the water plain all creatures would basically have their bodily fluids rip them from the inside. So by creating vacuum with air streams you essentially create a water pump and can further direct the water stream. Once even slightly bent the water will continue it's motion in the given direction since there are no other forces to stop it.

    No mention of the servants of the Wind Dukes, they're a pretty unknown race to be fair, dunno if you've heard of 'em, the Aarakochra?!

    I’d love to visit this plane, I think, despite the dangers. It’s my favorite of the four planes.

    Getting Banished there must be scary, one moment you are in a fight, with solid ground under your feet, and the next you find yourself in a free fall, with no ground in sight for up to one whole minute...

    Man I wanna have a combat where the party is fighting a dragon or something that's pursuing them, and then start freefalling while the dragon freefalls after them. I think the rules for 5e are you fall 500 feet instantly when you fall, and then another 500 feet at the end of your next turn and at the end of every subsequent turn until your fall is halted. I think flying creatures can also subtract their speed from the distance they fall when calculating fall damage, since they can kinda just glide or adjust as they fall to lessen the impact

    Hey, not sure if you'll read this but could you do a video on the Mulhorandi pantheon, I am making a paladin that prays to Osiris. I think it would be good to make an episode on them. After all you've made episodes of things way less known. I think it would be epic because it goes back to the routes of dnd being mummies and liches.
    Not to mention the last bit of this video vaguely links back to the Egyptians
