I original though in the brand new Star Trel Lower Decks Season 3 that there going to be two or three episodes of how Mariner and her friends were somehow trying to clear her mum (Captain Freeman) from a crime that she never commited. But I never expect this to be quick one episode as Captain Freeman is already clear and every officer in Star Fleet already knows that she's frame from the begining somehow.

That was my expectation too. But I think I'm fine with this as some sort of subverted expectation.

Starfleet is a complex organization and has many branches that LOWER DECKS has nothing to do with SO I thought is was a good way to move into new episodes

Fair. I just watched it and enjoyed it. It's not the deepest trek out there, but it's bright, optimistic and fun.

Agreed, The Captain being cleared off screen makes perfect sense for Lower Decks.

GOOD EVENING TREKLAD, I did like the episode very much and I think the series is the best star trek in many ways. I agree the tying up the trial was well done so we can move into new stories. YES I LOVED the cheeky humor in the vineyards 😆

It’s the only one of the new series that I really love - and this episode is exactly the reason why

I loved this episode! I could have easily seen the description of the trial being The background in a trial episode. Such as worfs trial for blowing up the freighter where odo is off trying to find evidence, I’m glad it worked out the star fleet way I think it was a great pay off.

Correction: It's BateSON, not BateMAN. I'm a rubbish fan.
