That exploit with the Landsturmregiments was a stroke of brilliance. You're really keeping the devs active with how often you break the game.

Yeah, this was fixed, as in the current version they rename the template "Landsturmregiment 2" and give you the crappy one. So 85 Army XP down the drain :-/
Also, you cannot bypass the Rhineland anymore if you're already opposing Hitler, but this can still be a useful trick to save some time.

Pro tip: So while they did fix sending your troops to sea (they teleport back actually), if you troops are on land, but NOT in your territory (either via military access, faction member, or a puppet) you will still keep all of them. So in this case had you puppeted Switzerland you could have kept your army in Switzerland until the civil war started.

Requirements:
Ironman Mode
No Exploits
Historical Focuses
As Poland:
1. Go Communist
2. Join the Comintern
3. Accept Danzig or War
4. Wait until Germany attacks France then justify a war goal on Germany.
5. Attack Germany and call in the Comintern.
6. Defeat Germany before 1941
I did this by just getting the AI Soviets to do all the work, but I'd like to see how you tackle it.

As a side note: you mentioned that sending troops to sea was patched, however if you puppet a nation and send your troops into the puppet’s territory you can keep your troops during the Civil War. Also, I’m glad you’re back I missed your content.
Challenge: Annex all of europe as Estonia.
Democratic "good guys" yet it goes around annexing territory left and right like Austria and Sudetenland.
I've found a way to keep your units in a civil war. If you send them into an ally's territory, for example asking for military access from Italy and placing your army there, the game won't take any units away, leaving you with your entire army while the enemy won't have any.

i did the "Germany makes the world democratic" part 1-2 dlcs ago.. but it was like, conquer everwhere by reich, get a democratic reformer, change to democracy and release every possible country one by one as germany's democratic puppets.

Dude since im Bolivian im pretty interested in that 1942 bolivian game. I tried to conquest all southamerica with 10witdh cavalry and a lot of support companies (ing, recon, arty, aaa and at cuz we have an artillery expert.) on historical mode using the exploit on waking the tiger but after brazil, argentina, chile and peru. USA intervenes. And the manpower is gone. I long for the resistance includes the Perú-Bolivia confederation.
When the next dlc drops I want to see how you solve the "don't die for your country" achievement, take out Poland and France as Germany with less then 472 or so casualties. Paradrops are banned

maybe building forts in the border and using a lot of bombers with nukes since airforce casualties dont count, and then also having max doctrine and max mechanized infantry with modern or superheavy tanks, but then you are probably declarimg war in 1942 or 43, and if people start dying you have to start over

They patched the landsturm thing and I lost the civil war because I deployed my cavarly units and converted them into infantry, I had no equipment Lol

About the civil war thing,
you had a border with Italy and they give you military acces, when you ask and then station your troops in Italy, they won't split anymore!
If you shift+left click while creating a front line by field marshal, you create one, united frontline. Kinda useful

Funfact: You can get Poland to voluntarily cede all former German Territories if both are democratic and Poland is shortly before surrendering to the Soviet Union. So you can get them to join the Central European Alliance, then wait for the Soviets to do their thing and only start pushing back after the Poles gave in.

A trick I do right before the civil war in Germany starts is to train 11 infantry units, but then add 11 right before the war starts so Hitler will only have 11 non trained units that cant be deployed while I have 11 units ready to go. I dont know if anyone else does this?
If you have a puppet and send your troops on a fallback line order in their territory, you get to keep these troops during a civil war, similar to the marine bug.

I've done the civil war MANY times, but I honestly didn't even think of this tactic, and neither of bypassing remilitarization of rhineland by declaring war on a small nation and going to war
Sadly, the two exploits key to the early part of this strategy, have been patched. First, you can no longer bypass "Rhineland" while researching "Oppose Hitler", and clicking bypass first locks out the "Oppose Hitler" idsea. Second, if you name a template "Landshutregiment", the game renames it to "Landshutregiment 2", creates a new "Landshutregiment" template with just the 3 inf, and gives you divisions from that template.
