    Fun fact, Ozuna turned around Harris after his slow start and Harris really leaned Ozuna to help him out. He also fixed Matt Olson's swing as well (Matt has given credit to Ozuna for fixing his swing when he had that amazing month of June). I wish the video addressed these two instances because it shows how much of team player he is. If you watch a game after the Braves take their ABs he is in the dugout watching their prior ABs and studying the pitcher. That is how he noticed Olson dropping his hands as he swung the bat.

    Ozuna gets a pass, Bauer gets blacklisted. Make it make sense. I’ve heard all the arguments why Bauer shouldn’t be allowed back, but then I think of players like Ozuna, Albert Belle, Delmon Young, John Rocker, Carlos Perez, Vince Coleman, etc…..and wonder why, since Bauer was proven not guilty of the SA accusations, he’s not back in baseball. I just listed plenty who were way worse and yet weren’t blacklisted. Perhaps Belle, but even so, he stayed in the league LONG after it was shown how angry and abrasive he was. The “toxic” things that people say about Bauer are just annoyances to those people. The list of previous players were actually toxic. I’m sorry, but it’s BS. And it shouldn’t be a divisive topic. Anyone who says he shouldn’t be back in the game is just wrong. There’s no “you can have your opinion and agree to disagree” on this one. They’re just flat out wrong. Period.

    • @dylanvauiso6910
      @dylanvauiso6910 Месяц назад +13

      At least in Ozuna's case the domestic assault thing was way overblown. Watch the publicly available body cam footage and judge for yourself...but he was pushing his wife away and had a cell phone in his hand the whole time. Not sure how that equates to the officer's testimony of "he choke-slammed his wife" The drunk driving is inexcusable (although again, watch the bodycam footage of his sobriety test...I'd say he passed and if that wasn't a pass I'd fail stone cold sober) but I really don't think there was anything there in the case with his wife.
      Bauer has other issues with other women who aren't the one who clearly set him up. He also had clubhouse issues and is public enemy #1 for Manfred. Not saying it's right, but just there is a lot more there to keep a potential team from signing him

    • @jakobuhh
      @jakobuhh Месяц назад +1

      whether its right or wrong, you see the kind of ego and personality Trevor Bauer and hes a distraction to the clubhouse of any team. I love the guy and his content he produces, but he is not someone who should be in a major league setting with the kind of controversy he brings with him.

      @otgbaby4615 Bauer is near universally disliked and considered a "clubhouse cancer" by almost everyone in the league. He was a clubhouse cancer in highschool and kicked off the team his senior year. He was considered a clubhouse cancer in college at UCLA as verified by his teammate Gerrit Cole. He was considered a clubhouse cancer after he was drafted by the Diamondbacks and was traded very early in his career. He was considered a clubhouse cancer in Cleveland and was traded again. He won the Cy Young for the Reds and yet they still made no effort whatsoever to re-sign him after making the playoffs. All of that happened before everything that went down when he was a Dodger. The stuff that happened with the Dodgers was just considered to last straw. General Managers want great teammates who are great clubhouse guys that are beloved by their teammates so the whole team can function as one cohesive unit. They want players with personalities that are going to make the team stick together like glue. Trevor Bauer's personality isn't glue. It's the opposite. It's like nail polish remover or something there to dissolve the glue and divide teammates. Ozuna has always been loved by his teammates and quite literally gets along with every single teammate he's played with. If Ozuna had been a clubhouse cancer like Bauer the Braves would have released him a long time ago. Ozuna and Bauer could not be more polar opposites. That is why Ozuna is still on an MLB team and Bauer is not. Ozuna is beloved because he gets along with everyone on the team and treats everyone in the clubhouse with respect. Bauer is not on a team because he does none of those things. GMs aren't playing fantasy baseball only caring about stats. It's real baseball teams and personality matters. Ozuna's personality is widely known to be a net-positive in the clubhouse. It's no secret that Bauer's personality has *always* been known as a net-negative. No one wants a player on their team who has a personality like Albert Haynesworth. For those who don't know who that is he was an NFL player who got a $100M contract. I suggest looking him up. It's easy to see why Haynesworth was eventually blackballed and I don't think he was ever even accused of a crime but that didn't stop everyone from knowing exactly why they didn't want him on their team.

      Yes hitting a women is wrong! However not every situation is the same. I remember back in 98 I knew a guy who was married to this one lady. I would frequently visit their house because I was a friend to both individuals before they got together. I never knew how toxic she and her mom was until their second child was born. He liked to play basketball on his spare time to keep somewhat a sane life. She would belittle him in front of me and other people that would come visit them. She would take her finger and drive her nails into his temple and one day the guy just flat out lost it and slapped her hand as she was going for the same movement. It wasn’t even a hard slap and she called police on him. When the police arrived they locked him up told us their visitors to stay out of it. We wanted to tell them exactly what went down and police would not let us speak. It’s wrong for girls to think they can do whatever they want to a man and he has to just take it. If he lashes out in any kind of way they’ll belittle us as if we’re less than a man.

    Pretty good video but some information missing: He was not given a free pass, very far from it. The Braves really tried to trade him but obviously no team would… this was before he stated he would do anything to fix his situation and clean up his act. Rob Manfred ordered My Braves to explore this possibility and only allow him a chance if he goes to therapy, 100+ hours of service at a women’s shelter, and fully reconciled with his family. He achieved all of this. He was also not welcomed back like nothing happened he had to earn his way back. He’s one of those 1 in a 100 possibilities that actually worked. Thank you OP for mentioning that his wife did go to jail for DV. It was clear in the body cam footage that they are at that time a toxic couple who were arguing and went a bit too far. Most people don’t know this. After the DUI he realized he needs to keep his promise. That was it…. He got clean, continued getting help and he’s been the happiest ever. He earned his second chance. If the tigers can give Cabrera a chance after multiple repeat DV charges, an affair, and multiple DUI’s maybe the league and world could give Marcel a second chance. Not defending what he did but just saying people can change if they want to.

Nah, I wanted em gone.
    You have to screw a lot of things up to be booed by your own fans in Braves Country, and I was with everyone who was booing (I even specifically remember openly calling him an idiot after a baserunning blunder of his while I was at a game). The team, Snit and AA seem to trust him though, and at least on the surface it seems like he's really gotten his act together now, so I guess I'll be a bit more open to him now. Bauer is near universally disliked and considered a "clubhouse cancer" by almost everyone in the league.

I can understand it if the players don't want Baur on their team, but I find it hard to believe that all 30 teams have had their players actively go out of their way to state that they don't want him on their team. Really sad double standards that go around, even when Baur has had all charges dropped and there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that emphasised his innocence.

I can excuse the toxic relationship he had with his ex, idk all the details, can’t comment too much there, but the DUI? No. Just no.
    But since he got this 3rd chance, nothing to do now but see where it goes. If nothing else spawns up, then we’ll know he’s just a guy who’s made a few mistakes. One more strike though, and he should be out. Either way, someone will be eating their words when this is all over.
