idk… 30/30 with 100 rbis and gold glove defense sounds pretty good to me
"Underrated" is the most overrated word in existence.
That's an underrated sentiment.
Nah its deadass tied WITH overrated
watch lindor turn his season around and hit 40 homers while batting like .290 or something, after you called him out, man baseball is weird
Lmaooo he hasn’t hit the ball in 5 days this dude is washed
that would be nice for my fantasy team
@@deakosteal should have drafted Bobby Whitt that’s who I got
@@brennencseh3744 didnt make it to my turn
lol. Tell me you’re a Mets fan without telling me you’re a Mets fan.
Thank God someone finally said it.
“Francisco Lindor is the most underrated player in baseball” has been one of the most annoying narratives the last few years. Right up there with “Tim Anderson is actually an amazing person and an amazing teammate who’s just misunderstood because he flips his bat and calls himself Jackie Robinson”. Right up to the point where J-Ram KO-d him and all of a sudden we could all agree that TA is a douchebag diva and “Down goes Anderson!” was therapeutic for all of us.
dude averages 4.7 bWAR 5.17 fWAR per year and if plays the same exact way for the remainder of his contract he'll be top 4 in all shortstops in history is 80+ fWAR and he'll be near 3000 hits with multiple GG's lets be fucking honest here dog
@@elisalsa24 Not denying he’s a great shortstop. I’m specifically stating he’s not actually underrated. Reading comprehension is your friend, dog.
As a mets fan I agree, people talk about his advances stats a lot but the reality is recently he pads them up near the end of the season against teams like the marlins and nats
I think underrated is a massive stretch, but under appreciated is a fair term. People dont act like hes a top SS anymore meanwhile id struggle to think of more than Seager or Turner over him. And personally in that case, im taking between Turner and Lindor, seager can sit in the IL corner lmao
SS is a premium position and a guy who plays nearly 160 every year, can go 30-30 with GG defense, it shouldn't take a rocket surgeon to see the value of Lindor.
@@elisalsa24 Lindor is a good shortstop, no one is debating that. But WAR can be misleading - anyone who watches the Mets knows that Pete Alonso, for example, is more valuable to the Mets lineup - when he's on, the Mets are winning. Yet because of positional adjustment he will never have more than 4 or 5 WAR, and Lindor can be an average hitter and end up with the same amount.
If he can put up 4+ more seasons at his rates he's probably a HOFer... and that's coming from a Braves fan. He's 30yr old and already has 40+WAR...
NY fans are THE WORST, no appreciation for their own players. Disgrace
Except he doesn't win
WAR doesn’t paint the whole picture.
@@ConnorBrew19 no shit
HOF trajectory, plays the hardest position.. idk what he expects out of him. Above average hitter, above average defense, puts up war, steals bases. Dude is consistent and good, the Mets are getting what they paid for I think
It's a Mets problem, not a Lindor problem. Look at Alonso and McNeil this season..
I'm a lifetime Mets fan, the whole team is suffering thus far this season...
The Cubs blew up their core that won the world series. They knew what happened to the Mets would happen to them
Lindor hasn’t even played good ever since he left the Guardians
@@TheAnimalWolverine That's completely wrong. He has the 2nd highest fWAR among SS since joining the Mets.
You are one of the bad Mets fans
@@mohegansun2439 me? LOL
As a Mets fan I can admit that sometimes I'm disappointed by some of his numbers, particularly his batting average and OPS. I love that he plays every day for sure, but I'm just not sure what to think of him anymore.
He’s not overrated lindor has had a slow start but dude finished top ten in mvp voting last two years if that’s overrated than every player in baseball is to
It is when you consider the fact that he will be making 34 million a year for the next decade. If you compare his numbers to Bryce Harper or Aaron Judge. They are not comparable. He is 30 now so they will be paying him 30 million per year up to the age of 40.
@fr2ncm9 welcome to baseball contracts in todays day and age. A top shelf SS is not a cheap position. Correa is getting 33 a year before incentives, and that includes his injury history, cheating scandal involvement, and two teams backing out of a deal with him.
Lindor isn't underrated. it's using the wrong term. I do, however, believe he is underappreciated. Guy is in my opinion hands down top 3 in baseball and I think hes 1, but hes constantly being shot down. Arcia made the ASG over him last year, if that doesnt show the disrespect lmao i dont know what does. Then again, its a dumb fan vote and Lindor usually starts off slow so hes just not a good candidate for the arbitrary ASG requirements lmao
@fr2ncm9 what are you even talking about? Hes widely agreed to be one of the best SS in baseball, so let's compare him to a corner OF?
Clown comment bro, go back to the circus 🎪
What about the stats 😂
why would you use mvp votes to say someones not overrated, hes top 10 in mvp BECAUSE hes overrated
Secret to let everyone in on: No single MLB player is worth a $300 million contract.
Depends on how you define worth. Is it just and fair that guys who hit a ball make tens of millions of dollars? Eh. Do they deserve the going market rate based on league revenue? Probably, yes. A guy like Mike Trout was worth upwards of $60 million a year about twelve years ago. It's incredibly rare for players to have seasons that amazing, but with current market rates guys like Lindor are actually underpaid while make obscene amounts of money.
Harper has been worth every penny
Ohtani definitly is. But noone else, not even Soto.
@@jackbuckley5453He is not, he is making 25.3 MM per season & averages 3.7 WAR, so 6.7 MM per WAR(1).
@@iamjuliocesarjran MVP Award, a World Series appearance and another NLCS appearance on top of that are 100% worth that kind of money. He also enters demon time in the playoffs, which is where good players show how good they actually are. Harper passes the eyeball test: he hits well, walks a ton and is a solid fielder.
Worst thing that happened to Lindor is playing for the Mets
As a die hard Mets fan, I love Lindor but he doesn’t hit like someone who’s making $300+ mil. Been saying that even in his great 2022-23 seasons. One of the best defenders in the sport and a good baserunner, but you gotta do more than a barely .800 OPS when you’re getting paid like he is. Really hoping he turns it around this year
If anything, he’s just flat out overpaid for his production but that’s fine. Cohen shelled that money over and knew what he’d be getting and it hasn’t reached the point where we are getting zero value out of Lindor. Till I hear a report that Cohen is strapped for cash and the Mets can’t make moves because of him, then it’s not the end of the world. I still believe in Franky.
Nah the juiced ball era just killed everyone’s perspective on what good hitting numbers are. In terms of ops+, 2022 and 2023 were lindors best hitting seasons despite having an actual ops way below his numbers from 2016-19. People just gotta understand that a .750+ ops is pretty good and that what we saw in the back half of the 2010s was not realistic at all
Jazz Chisholm is the most overrated player in baseball
Couldn’t agree more.
Nobody would give 2 shits about him if he wasn’t on a cover of MLB: The Show
@@matthewl3002 mlb the show cover choices in general suck
Ive been saying overrated for years. Him and vladdy are 1 & 2 for most overrated players
I would put Vladdy at #1 because he's way more inconsistent, but yeah, agreed
Can't argue with that....unless someone rated Baez high somehow.
Jazz Chisholm
Don't forget Machado and Bogaerts (and I say that as a Dutchman).
Nobody rates vlad
Fransisco Lindor is; a nice guy and a good player with an excellent glove but inconsistent with the bat. Overrated? no but overpaid for sure. A Mets fan here.
So inconsistent he put up 43 bWAR by the age of 30...
So much of that is because of his defense
@@iTalkStudios That's not true. Lindor has 38 offensive war, his defense doesn't add that much. Lindor's total war should probably be higher anyway but DRS doesn't like him which lowers his war. This year he has 4OAA which is tied for 15th in all of baseball yet has -0.1 Dwar.
@@chris42069 What do I mean by inconsistent? simple: He is cold as ice for six or 8 weeks then he turns on fire like a roman candle on July 4th.
Yet he's been on losing teams@@chris42069
Mets fan and i like Lindor much, but we are paying him just for gold defense and daily playing. He's not hitting and def. has NOT hit nearly worth the 34 mil
As a Mets fan, I agree. His name and contract carry more weight than his production.
I think it’s pretty hard to say Lindor is underperforming to his contract, since (while massive) it is inflated by his position. When comparing Lindor to the other players in his 300m pay range that you listed (Judge, Harper, Betts, Machado), he does get dwarfed by most of them purely offensively, but he also provides the most value at the toughest defensive position in baseball. There’s no other SS on that list, and the other SS’s who got paid somewhat recently (Bogaerts, Correa, Seager) get paid in the same range. Personally, if I had to choose from those 4 SS’s to get my every day guy, I’m probably taking Lindor as he’s the most reliable health-wise and gives you elite defense with 30-30 potential every year.
SS is a tough market and the price tag will always be steep. Lindor will be a HOF player with 5 more good seasons, and I think that warrants him being paid with the elite SS in the game.
May 5th 2024 and Francisco Lindor is hitting .193 with an OPS of .616. He's a well below average offensive player at this point.
he's a fantastic player. in fact he is on track for a HOF career. the disappointment comes from his juiced ball seasons and the expectation that he was going to be a 40+ HR hitter when he entered his prime.
Diggin the new content format bro. Great essay
I’ve been a Mets fan for my whole life and watched a bunch of baseball and lindor has never shown me that he is worth his contract just watching him is sort of painful that we payed 341 million dollars for him
Also lindor should just stick to making chocolate
Underrated comment 😂
Look at his contract. Dude isnt producing on that level.

Not overrated or underrated but overpaid 100%
It's about time I see something about this. Seeing all of these posts saying that he's better than Trea Turner were driving me insane.
I think Turner is the only guy who has an argument of being more valuable than Lindor at SS. They are close enough that quite frabkly I dont care who you think is better, any team would be lucky to have either.
@@gDiniMMookie plays short too now, he’s a top 5 player in the league and easily the #1 shortstop

Let’s just give credit to how fire italks edits are 🔥🔥
Let me grab some popcorn. This is going to good.
He was actually starting to decline in Cleveland. And he is the absolute worst player ive ever seen hitting in clutch situation and late and games.
Piping hot n fresh Heath Ledger Joker reference. I don't think anyone has ever mentioned that character on the internet before.
“Good defender” - bro is a gold glove defender who is a above average hitter
Great defender, yes.. but definitely NOT an above average hitter. He’s never had a 40 homerun season and he’s never really batted above .300 or posted an OPS above .900.
Lol is that average .200 because he’s below it
@@DCampusano1 first of all, batting average is no argument. Secondly 40 HRs and .900 OPS isnt the mark of "above average", those are elite numbers. There are plenty of "good" hitters that don't have that kind of slugging. Use a player's OPS+. If it's over 100, then statistically, yes, he is "above average". Not even trying to argue for Lindor here, just talking in general.
Don't forget in the trade the Mets gave up Ahmed Rosario and Andres Jimenez who have been pretty good players
Rosario is about exactly average with the bat, and his fielding has never been a strength, and Gimenez had one outlier stud season. Lindor all day.
Thank god, he is overpaid and has been since he’s gotten to the Mets, he hasn’t been this crazy top 3 in shortstops other than his defense, great tools, solid bat. But not deserving of a 34 mil dollar contract

The Mets are doing him no favors having him in the 3 hole. He’d be viable in the MLB as a 6 or 7 hitter. His contract says he should hit third given the money, but his numbers say otherwise and when will we wake up. Thankfully some people are. He’s costing the Mets games
As a big time Lindor fan and him being my favorite player, and as of rn I don’t think he’s overrrated. But he’s been on a huge slump this season.
I'm a die hard Indians/Guardians fan... Back when the rumors of trading Lindor were swirling I was totally okay with sending him out of town knowing the big contract he'd be demanding (and as long as we got some controllable players in return). I knew he wouldn't blossom into a player he'd never been up until that point and any big contract would doom making any other signings/extensions.
Thank you - a lot of people insist on saying Lindor is "one of the best shortstops" and point to whichever advanced statistic suits their argument, but as a Mets fan, we all see him go through some pretty bad slumps when the team needs him the most. Even last year, he finished strong but was hitting around .220 through June when they called it a season and started to rebuild. His Cleveland numbers were better than as a Met, but his power was inflated by the juiced ball, and the AL Central in the late 2010s was weak as hell. I still remember him not running out a ground ball during the first month of his new contract and getting booed, thinking "We should have made him prove he's worth the money for a year instead of just handing it out before he's shown anything as a Met." I wish the best for Lindor but he's inconsistent as hell and hasn't proved he's worth the money, or being seen as the "face of the franchise." He reminds me of Carlos Beltran in a lot of ways, although Beltran missed more time and was a bit better when he played.
Yeah. Mets were really expecting 2004 Playoffs Carlos Beltran when they signed him back in 2005?
A great player signed to the Mets who maintains their numbers, is a win. We don’t expect players to get better when they Met. He’s definitely an over achiever, within the context of playing in Queens. But yeah we should trade him now before we get stuck with an aging player who loses any more value.
so Lindor is not a great player ? hard disagree
But is he worth 34 million a year? Hell no.
As a mariner fan I feel the same way about j-rod. I'd trade him any day of the week for Bobby Witt or elly
You would be nuts to swap JRod with Elly De La Strikeout
@@MaddMan621 elly has twice the home runs, stolen bases, and WAR and he's 2 years younger. Both are great
Lindor is just overpaid. Hes a top 5 SS but that contract is an albatross.
It’s a reason why I don’t like war as a stat values defense far too much Kyle Sharber and Javy Baez had the same war last year
A run saved is a run earned
It's almost like Kyle Shwarber is the one who is vastly overrated and is basically a 1 tool power hitter who can only hit middle-middle mistake pitches?
War also factors in baserunning. Certainly Báez was a more efficient base runner than schwarber was
@@chris42069i’m sure all 41 homers were mistake pitches right down the middle, u cracked the code😮😮
Lindor has never stood out to me. I always thought he was a good player, but never thought he was great. Sure he’s won a pair of Gold Gloves, some Silver Sluggers and was a 30-30 member last year. But you put that stuff to the side and look more closely at his numbers, they just don’t jump off the page enough.
He was struggling around this point last year (albeit not as badly) before he turned it around in the second half. There's still some hope for a Lindor comeback. Right now he is definitely bad, nothing underrated about him.
Bro FINALLY people are coming around to this. I have been saying this for literally like 5 years.
AS a Mets fan I mostly agree with everything you said. It’s just hard to digest. I honestly think no player is worth over 30 million per year. Arguably the best hockey player on the planet, Connor McDavid doesn’t even make $15 million per year. NHL salary cap restrains over spending. Kind of sad when you see a player like Lindor, not the best player in the world making more than double.
He's overpaid, and that's what makes him look overrated. Most teams would love to have him on their team for a more reasonable price.
I agree. Mets fan here since birth and the Mets suckkkkk. No getting around it. Such a shame
If hes "under" anything, hes underachieving this season. He has great numbers last aeasin and was a top 3 shortstop, but not this season, so far
Braves fan here. All I can say is I'm glad we have the best GM. Look at our ss and the contract 2 or 3 mil a year for Arcia
Bold for using Marks clip in your video for him mlb rankings
I made an edit with the video you got your clips from
As a Mets fan I think he’s overrated he should be hitting 6th not 3 . He makes a lot of week contact doesn’t strike out a lot but pulls to much . Great Glove .
He will be the hitter when the Mets are out of contention cuz he ain’t clutch!
I feel you Lindy as an Indian wasn’t real clutch but better than with the mets
Lindor's problem is that he cant play in the cold. His April and May numbers are always atrocious. That is why the last two years he was NOT an allstar (voting is at midseason) despite being top 10 in MVP voting. His slow starts kill his HoF chances because voters look at shit like all star appearances. Imagine a 30/30 guy playing gold glove defense that is NOT an all star.
I love content the man
If he is overrated can the Indians have Mr. Smile back while the Mets cover his salary? They can get carasco but not giminez.
Bro I get saying he was overrated during the first 3 weeks of the season when he was batting like .079 but he’s turned it around and is completely solid.
He’s batting below .200
@@Eazydoesit702 He’s batting .203, 28 R, 7 HR, 23 RBIs, & 6 SBs. He’s really not that bad at all, look at Alex Bregman’s #’s if you really are trying to find a player that’s looking like a potential bust for the season
Sandy Alderson came out of retirement on the behest of Cohen for one year to get things started. then for whatever reason he decided to sign Lindor, before he ever played as a Met, before Lindor's walk year started. That year he also signed James McCann $80mil who the Mets are still paying for. Alderson could make elite pitching staffs (Oakland previously), he drafted well, traded pretty well, but he was sorta clueless with position player signings. Curtis Granderson was initially supposed to go 3-4 with Wright, the Wright contract didn't work out but that was more an injury fluke, and Cespedes MIA, but then there was Cuddyer for 2 years even though he rejected the Rockies' qualifying offer. There're more i can't think of atm. I think as his last hurrah for his legacy he wanted to imitate the Mookie Betts signing, in interviews he used big words all the time for no real reason, think he wanted to be perceived as smarter than he was. Anyway, watching this video i can see that Lindor's swing with the Indians was much more level than it is now. I don't think he's gonna get any better, amount of times i've seen him K on 3 pitches batting left handed, swinging over top an inside breaking ball, it's like he's lost. Problem with the contract is also the ego, he is the worst 3-hole hitter in baseball. Man should be batting 7th or 8th.
The best short stop in baseball is crazy as fuck
Lindor can swing it, he’s got a lot of pop. He hit a few balls on the screws in the 4 game home/away Phillies series but they were right at guys. I get the feeling he’s free swinging a lot. Ambushing first pitch fastball, but it’s up in the zone and he pops it up. Etc.
Lindor is an incredible player and it’s still early in the season, he has more eyes on him because he plays in NY. I’m a Mets fan and I love Lindor if he had a team that could actually hit consistently around him he would shine guaranteed
An excellent breakdown by iTalk.....
If we shaved 9 mil off his contract I think that would be spot on
You're wayyy off base on this man. 2024 hasnt been good but the guy produced 43 WAR so far and hes only 30. Hes basically on a near HoF trajectory, sorry you don't like him but calling one of the best SS in baseball overrated is flat out dumb.
He’s always been a good player. He’s a typical .270-.280 30+ 90-100 RBI player. He’s been consistent with that minus one year.
I remember when they would say lindor and Addison Russel and dansby Swanson were better then Corey seager COMEDY LOL
Lindor has 10-15 more WAR than Seager depending on which source you look at, and they're the same age. I think it's fair to say Lindor has been better than Seager thus far.
Remember when everyone said Bryce Harper was the most overrated player in baseball for like 3 years? Lol
That was always such a dumb thing to say haha. He's lived up to the unfair hype brought on him when he was 16 and more. He's that good.
@@iTalkStudiosYeah in hindsight, the “Harper is the most overrated player in baseball” discourse from around 2018-2020 is insane and hilarious. You could argue that he maybe was overrated a tiny bit in his final few years as a Nat, but as a Phillie? Absolutely not. He’s been consistently better in Philly than he was in DC. Since 2019, his OPS is .929 (7th in the league in that time period and ahead of guys like Betts, Acuna, and Tatis), he won an MVP, nearly single-handedly dragged the Phillies to a World Series appearance, and has had a playoff OPS over 1.100 the last 2 years. If anything, he’s massively underpaid for the value he provides on the field and off the field.
Here is the thing about contracts. You guys look at contracts then look at stats and then say, oh wow overpaid, or that it doesn't make any sense, etc. you forget that mlb is a business, and major league teams are a business. but you don't account for the player popularity, jersey sales, etc. Lindor prob makes over 25-50 million in jersey sales alone for the team. a kids lindor jersey sells for 125 and adult sells for 200. the city connects just dropped as well. my son has like 6 lindor jerseys. home blue, home black home whites, city connect, etc.
Jersey sales don't work like that though. The team makes like 9 % from Jersey sales and all merchandising so the Mets are definitely not getting anything close to 25 million a year from lindors merchandise sales . Think about it like this he makes 34 million a year that would mean the Mets would be making 90% of the money they invented In paying lindor just from his shirts sales and thats just not possible
Frankie was the best shortstop in Cleveland but he has been overrated in New York
Also thanks for making this video….no one in the NY media will say anything of this for some reason and it’s BullShit!
I believe he's getting his due respect. But, then again, my team has Javier Baez! Avila overrated him by about 130 million 😅
Keep at it, Francisco!
I think the issue is him having cheesecakes with P diddy honestly
With Lindor's contract, as with others who signed long term contracts. it's not the money, it's the length of term. The 35 or 40 million dollars a year is not obscene, but when you look at the total sum, it is absolutely disgusting.
During the contract year, you put in all of the work to get paid the big bucks. Then once you're paid you just ride the lazy river(Hopefully that's not the case, but it sure seems like it! This is why I'm against these monster contracts.
Based on current contracts, it's Mike Trout, and not even close.
The Mets are in dire need of a new batting coach.
The Toy Story clip😂
Funny you say that his numbers with the Mets are about the same as with the Guardians. That’s highly inaccurate.
Manny Machado (50 WAR) 31 years
Nolan Arenado (49 WAR) 33y
Francisco Lindor (48 WAR) 30y
Bryce Harper (47 WAR) 31y
Aaron Judge (42 WAR) 32y
not saying Lindor is worth his contract but if the other guys are future hall of famers...
The extremly overated one on the mets is Pete Alonso. Wanting a contract close to Freeman or Harper.
As a big Mets fan I’ll say that Lindor is the most overpaid player in the sport. The contract is a DISASTER. He’s the 8th highest paid everyday player in MLB. I Wouldn’t even put him in the Top 40. He’s a good player … but when you watch him every day you realize he has no clutch in him. ZERO. With the game on the line he’s the last guy I want at the plate. He’s been here 3+ years and I can count the big hits he’s had on one hand. I WISH we could find a sucker to take him off our hands.
Corey seager literally just helpeed his team win a ring like come on bro tf
For the last two years his offense was worth what he's been paid for playing a premium position at a premium level. Only this year so far has been disappointing.
the thing about lindor is that hes trying to do more then he can do, instead of pushing himself to do more he should just play his game and be the leader that he can be.
Yeah as a Mets fan i've seen enough of Lindor playing. His defense has gotten worse. He misses balls that an average SS can catch. He's not turning double plays like he use to. He can't hit ace pitching or even 2,3, 4 pitching. He can only hit 4, 5 level pitching. Maybe triple AAA. He's also not clutch. The amount of ppl he's left of base is disturbing. If he was more of a leader. If he is? i don't see it. He's no Derek Jeter or David Wright
The thing about Lindor's stats in 2023 is that he ended the year with very good stats, especially from a slugging stand point. But that hides the fact that Lindor didn't heat up until after the Mets gave up on the 2023 season. His batting average was .211 as late as June 17th. He didn't raise his batting average above .240 until August 5th. In that context, his current 2024 makes a lot more sense and yes, it makes him way overrated. In general, the Mets have a huge problem with an overrated core. Lindor, Alonso, McNeil, Marte, and Nimmo are paid like A-levels All-Stars even though they perform like role players. If anyone is wonder why the Mets fanbase is asking Steven Cohen on Twitter to blow it up even though the team is playing borderline .500 baseball, this is why. Everything else about the Mets this year has turned out great. The Pitching is excellent. The bench is contributing more than expected. But the stars that are supposed to carry the team's offense have been some of the least productive players, especially in clutch situations. It's no exaggeration that if Lindor, Alonso, McNeil, Marte, and Nimmo were hitting like it's 2022, the Mets would be neck and neck with the Braves this year. With a huge era defining off season coming up in 2025 for us, the Mets to consider if selling these guys is better for the team long term.
Corey Seager is a Hall Of Famer that’s not up in the air.
I mean he was underrated last year and has hit into bad luck this year. His fielding took a hit this year and the issue is Alonso and McNeil. I don’t think he’s overrated or underrated.
Big contracts always end up looking bad at some point it's just crazy how quickly lindors has turned into a bad contract. Sorry to tell people but he's not even a top 5 short stop at this point
Think he just rated goes thru bad dry spells both at the plate and in the field but can also go on tears a lot like albies
The biggest problem is that everyone is acting like it's ~2010 and that the expected value per WAR is still around $6 million. Everyone saying that Lindor isn't playing like a guy worth $30 million a year is actually correct, in that his value has actually been closer to $45-50 million a year so far with the Mets. $30-35 million is no longer an insane amount of money for a baseball player; you don't need to be a generational talent on the level of Trout to make that kind of money (and to be fair to Lindor, he's put up nearly 50 WAR in his career, so realistically he's on track for a HoF career).
If we're being totally fair to Lindor and comparing him to other $300+ million players, your list was:
Otani: not really fair, but he hasn't had a season as a position player to match Lindor's best. Lindor has him beat in career WAR by over 20 wins, assuming you don't look at Otani's pitching
Seeing his drop off this season hurts. He's a great guy.
Boy, has this post dated poorly. Lindor is hitting a ton and fielding like a dream.
Man y’all don’t get it he’s produced an fWAR of 12 combined in 2022-23 which is the 4th best amongst position players behind only Judge Betts and Freeman. His individual offensive numbers may not jump out like there’s does but his base running and defense combined with his offensive value make him one of the best players in baseball.
Mets also the most garbage team so WAR doesn't work does it
All the clips you used at the beginning were either from SNY (the Mets local broadcast channel) and then one from Marc Luino (well known to be the biggest Mets homer on RUclips), doesn't really do a good job of showing that the narrative is being shoved down peoples throats when it's from segments only shown to people in the tri-state area, or a top 10 list from a RUclipsr trying to rage-bait people with Mets fandom
There’s a ton of players more overrated than Lindor…. 30/30 with 100 rbis AND gold glove level defense 😂😂😂😂
I’m not so certain Aaron judge is a hall of famer. He is all ready pretty old and gets hurt a lot
