Hey Smarty you gotta wear some protection for your eyes it doesn't matter if those red glasses cost $1, that laser can make you go blind if you point it at your eyes.
The cheap glasses that come with these lasers are garbage and do not actually protect your eyes. You need to get a quality pair certified for the wavelengths that you're working with.

Anything over 2 watts I wouldn’t even use indoors unless you have something to shine it on as a barrier that it can’t go through like a big rock or tile or something and of course with glasses on due to the brightness there will be and because of risk of starting a accidentally fire. Under two watts you can be okay as long as your careful and not holding it at the wall at one spot for any given amount of time and also if you have a barrier which don’t hurt. Under 2 watts you can technically be okay without glasses if your super careful and only shine it on dark things that are mostly black that absorb most of the light but it’s very risky, light colored objects will still be super bright and could cause long term damage overtime, and if you hit something reflective it’s over for your eyes. And ofcourse don’t even shine it and anything living or aircraft’s or other peoples houses as it could hurt someone and get you a felony. Just looking out for y’all.
Two things you need to correct in your video. The focuser for the laser is on the end of it at the aperture. When using this on certain colored balloons or other objects, it will not burst the balloons or burn. Particularly on white, blue, and shades of blue. These colors reflect the light, instead of absorbing it. So there's no reason for you being disappointed because it didn't work on the white balloons and the Styrofoam cup. Try this experiment. Take a weight sheet of paper and try to burn it. Then take a black magic Marker and streak the paper. Then shine your light on that black. You will notice a big difference.

I'm about to depart from my country by the end of this year, I'm still worried that how I'm supposed to sell them out as soon as possible before taking the flight to leave my country ?
Yeah, it seems to be an old link. It’s hard when it comes to Amazon products because sometimes they are removed and sometimes they’re at it on, you should be able to google search it though
Consider how colors are actually perceived. This has NO relationship to the material. Black is actually absorbing ALL light wavelengths. White is actually reflecting ALL wavelengths. So if you have a blue laser, the white surface will reflect that light. If it is reflected, the surface will not heat up. Thus, the white balloon will not pop. If the black surface is absorbing ALL wavelengths, the laser light WILL be absorbed and the surface WILL heat up. So, why did the blue balloon not pop??? When you see blue, all wavelengths EXCEPT blue are absorbed. Those blue waves are reflected and you see blue. So if you have a blue laser, all the blue energy is REFLECTED and the surface is NOT heated. Again, this principal will apply to any and all objects.
Just focus the laser to a converging point when aiming at lighter colors to get full effect. When the beam is set for distance youre not getting all the power in one single point its spread out so focus to converging point and put what you want to burn in the focal point to get the full effect
At what point....how far.....will it not burn things anymore.....like when you pointed at the trees. I knew it wouldn’t do anything to the trees but at what point will it not?
I tested the black balloon popping from across a 20 foot room at the furthest. They popped just fine. Lighting matches the furthest was about 10 feet, but I would say the energy for burning is lost considerably after that. Like black plastic, an inch away immediately begins smoking and melting. About 3 feet it takes about a second to start smoking and doesn’t really penetrate well

The 445 nm - 470nm, 405nm and 635nm Multimode Diodes has a good Output efficience, but less Beamquality and high divergence compared with Singlemode Diodes or Dpss-Pointer. My recommendation are 505nm, 520nm and 525nm singlemode for green color. 532nm & 555nm Dpss for green color (highest visibilty per mw), 635 nm bright red singlemode for low beamdivergence, 650nm normal red very cheap and powerful, because very common. 488nm cyan blue for good visibilty, and 473nm Dpss for people with money. Beautiful 589nm & 593nm Dpss, yellow color, but also expensive.
Hi, if you only want to see the point of the laser on the Gras during daytime, a 100 - 150 mw Laser with 520nm to 532nm (mintgreen - green) will be enough. In the Moment i highly recommend the pocket series from Sanwu. 525nm 120mw for example. Good choice!

When using the right glasses for 450 nm you will no longer see the beam 😉 You can only see a small white dot where the pointer hits (depending on the selected darkening level of the glasses) at least choose od5 and pay attention to the correct spectrum. Just shoot at the glasses with the laser. If it's the right one, nothing comes out on the other side.

So old looking. I built one. It was my 2nd LP, it was 1.7w 455nm about 10 years ago. I got the same cheap charger so here is a heads up, do not stick a battery in backwards. Also for that price, you may want to test the glasses. I got a cheap set, most were like over 100$ and my cheapies that claimed they were made for 445nm offered almost no protection at 445nm. At over a watt this can explode your retina or a part of it from even a glancing blow of that beam to the eye. They are super fun to build though for me. But folks are not wrong to warn of danger. Though they make single diodes that go go much higher now, you are still way above the danger zone. Be safe, macular degeneration at an young age would suck.
Chinese people wo made that laser would tend to be more cheeky when they trick some countries that make these laser illegal allow it into their country:)
ok if the matches light in "2" seconds then it has to be hotter then blue fire which is hotter then red fire and blue fire is apparently 2,600 - 3,000 degrees fahernheit so this can basically burn through ur forearm, hand, rib, leg in less then 15 seconds
Come on people, a laser doesn't have a temperature, it heats the thing it is pointed at and the temperature depends on the thing being hit and how focused the laser beam is, you can have temperatures from 100degree Celsius to tens of thousands of degrees Celsius with this laser, just not enough energy
U just demonstrated refraction and didn't even know it. I got the same laser. 30 seconds mad use at a time. It breaks very easily. In a month it won't work. Try burning a hole through a 2 liter filled with water
What brand is it? I'm looking for a blue laser that is way smaller then this one for under a $100. Do u know of any that are actually good and the watts are actually true? I know this laser isn't 5watts more like 1 -1/2.
My seller told me don't use it longer than 30 seconds, if you do, let it cool down for 5 minutes. Otherwise use it for 10, rest for 30, use it for 10, rest for 30. That's the best as I understand
There are many black sheep at the traders. Important is the laser driver and a sufficiently strong laser diode. They like to save money and install weaker units without it being mentioned with even a word about it in the description. If no indication of the output power in milliwatts is specified in the description better not order

How much
It was like 140 on Amazon, but I guess it’s not there anymore
I was wondering, when using safety glasses, is it possible to see the beam anymore? i know its specific to wavelength, but if someone uses a laser for „fun“ to watch it, can they still see the light at all?
Timon K with a pair of safety glasses, at least the ones they offered, the beam was still visible
@@allthingsrandom8137 Thanks for the fast reply! These googles are probably not helpful then, theyre supposed to catch the light, so i guess proper googles wouldnt let it through, but if they make the beam invisible, whats the purpose of such a laser if you cant see the point/ beam anyways?
When using the right glasses for 450 nm you will no longer see the beam 😉 You can only see a small white dot where the pointer hits (depending on the selected darkening level of the glasses) at least choose od5 and pay attention to the correct spectrum. Just shoot at the glasses with the laser. If it's the right one, nothing comes out on the other side.
@@timonk7940 Man gets to buy good glasses seperate (max. 50-60€) his eyes should be worth it. I immediately disposed of the enclosed 😂
That's what smoke machines are for
Clothing?
Black clothing
you got an updated link for the product? anybody got one?
oh nevermind, almost $200 lol ya nah
Um it didn't come from China but from amazon....
open it up!
This did not come from china.. it came from Amazon 😂🤣
Right....and it took 2 weeks with prime!
for 180 u can buy creality 5w engraver... then modify it to be a handheld big boi pointer
This was also a couple years ago. Things have definitely gotten much cheaper and higher power
Laser page is gone
Matt Linville yeah, just search the name “word GX 1.5 W burning laser” I guess Amazon is selling it anymore, but there are places on Google who sell it
@@allthingsrandom8137 aw sweet thank you
Lasers reflect off of most white items
Hell yes!!!
3:57 so by "something you give to kindergartners" you mean they dont deserve proper eye protection just because their kids? they have eyes too you know
But they’re doing less dangerous shit because they’re kindergartners
Prise
I have class4
mines took a day because I paid 10 extra bucks for rush shipping lol totally worth it, hate waiting, and I ordered on sun too btw and it came around 12 afternoon Monday. anyone know where I can get better batteries ?
I would say batteries plus, but ordered better ones on eBay
Buddy 😉 You should definitely use the glasses. But not the ones from the set. Buy yourself neat glasses with the right optical density. Mine is awarded with 50000 mw (installed 10 watt diode is limited to 5watt.) which were included with my laser I could cut with the laser😂 Just caught the eye without glasses and you have a blind spot in your eye for the rest of your life 😉 With mine you would have an eye. Bring people the right thing in your videos otherwise the videos are just dangerous for stupid people 😜
What kind you got?
@@beinghuman3225 The housing is the same 😊 Is only equipped with more power. My starcaps look different and the sticker says 50000 mw 😂a Zero too much. Should the customs have stopped. We measured 5012 mw. I paid 42€ and got what I ordered 😋 Only took a while to deliver
@@revmarkus77 where can I get good glasses for strong lasers that aren’t garbage
of course, this laser is only 1.5 watt, and the light just goes through the blue balloons.
Do you know whats the best small hand held laser that is blue? I'm looking for 1 that's under a $100 but I want one thats way smaller then this one.
7:15 its moving all over the place. theres not a chance in hell its going to pop
I have 3 of these..they all burned up
Cardboard case
what’s the laser called ??
word GX 1.5 watt laser
Be safe, macular degeneration at an young age would suck.
im gonna say it ready? .. MAUI s blue roofs on the rich
It definitely can’t burn through body parts in 15 seconds
@@Nathan-fk3ue it can if it’s 3,000 degrees. It only takes 500 degrees or so to melt the most radioactive metal element on the periodic table
Come on people, a laser doesn't have a temperature, it heats the thing it is pointed at and the temperature depends on the thing being hit and how focused the laser beam is, you can have temperatures from 100degree Celsius to tens of thousands of degrees Celsius with this laser, just not enough energy
were u high when writing this?
U just demonstrated refraction and didn't even know it. I got the same laser. 30 seconds mad use at a time. It breaks very easily. In a month it won't work. Try burning a hole through a 2 liter filled with water
What brand is it? I'm looking for a blue laser that is way smaller then this one for under a $100. Do u know of any that are actually good and the watts are actually true? I know this laser isn't 5watts more like 1 -1/2.
@@tommyboy3737 eBay had em. I think they banned now. Best bet would be to get one on eBay for a engraver machine. They come with power supplies.
My seller told me don't use it longer than 30 seconds, if you do, let it cool down for 5 minutes.
Otherwise use it for 10, rest for 30, use it for 10, rest for 30. That's the best as I understand
@@johnnywick1110 10 seconds on 5 min off.... seriously....here my warning broken tons of em. Very cheaply made
Looks more purple than blue
same laser on aliexpress for £40
can u send link please dude!
I got the same one and it doesn’t even burn what the hell
There are many black sheep at the traders. Important is the laser driver and a sufficiently strong laser diode. They like to save money and install weaker units without it being mentioned with even a word about it in the description. If no indication of the output power in milliwatts is specified in the description better not order
@@revmarkus77 indubitably buddy good call I’ll make sure to do that when ordering mine
You know that it is black and yellow black and yellow
Can a lazer pop a tire. Im asking for someone
Raul JR Lara maybe a very thin one, but it would take a while
