I wouldn't mind having this car as my first EV.

The Mini has multi-link rear suspension, like all of the BMW generations. For the fun factor the Mini is probably the R5’s closest competitor. It is a bit faster and has sportier handling but only 3 doors and the minimalist dash layout will not suit all tastes and is a big change from the button heavy BMW quality interior of the last series.

Agree. However the Alpine A290 will be the real Mini competitor when it comes to handling.

Every Dutch auto reviewed I've ever seen goes to Bavaria or France to do reviews. I guess mountains make more interesting segments

I dont know anyone buying pure EV any more, worthless resale and poor charging infrastructure

People around me are buying EVs or just choose not to own a car at all. Resale value is an issue for every cars, if you cannot afford the burden don't buy brand new cars ! And charging infrastructure is great for me, on a daily basis and for vacations all around Europe. I have been driving an EV for the last 20 years and never had to wait to charge. Maybe you are stuck in an information bubble, you should try to get out sometimes. Or maybe you are just a troll who has nothing better to do of his time. Anyway, no more new ICE cars will be sold in Europe in 2035, and probably none will be on roads before 2050. And of course, in 2050 quite fewer people will choose to own a car, especially in cities (where 80% of the population lives).
