- Hey there awesome DCS Brothers & Sisters, hope all is well. Just thought I would post my mapping layout of my Warthog Throttle for my Hornet & my Hornet grip. Don't mark me down too hard for the end bit as I don't own a whiz bang vid camera, only my ole Samsung S8 mobile lol

Good stuff man. I just got the f18 stick and used some of your mapping on my throttle. After I’m more certain of the mapping I’m going to get a custom panel made with labels for my switch configuration. On my stick I went with the correct f18 mapping for simplicity. Your weapon select and sensor switches are reversed but they’re the way you like and that’s all that matters. Thanks buddy

@@GazAce - oh yes the F18 add on grip. Maybe in the next couple of months … I just purchased the TM TPR rudder pedals so I need to chill for now 😁
@@Mako-sz4qr Oh nice.. rudders! Yea I hear ya, down here my grip was $350 AU which stung a bit but eventually very worth it & now near 2 years on & all buttons function as when I bought it, very nice grip.
@@GazAce But why did you change the mapping to this. To each his own but you have the actual Hornet grip and changed it to totally not function as it does in real life.
@@fluxmechanics Was all about personal pref at the time. That was a long time ago brother, now I use Virpil gear & never been happier.

Great I will be keeping an eye out for it. I placed an order for the Virpil Warbird base about three weeks ago so it must be on back order, as far as the throttle I will use the Warthog for a while then sell it for the Virpil. I will most likely review the stuff as well but only on quality not mapping them because I don't know the stuff anything like you do. I was looking for your Discord but could not find it. Chat soon.
Nice one man, Virpil is awesome! I'm very happy with my gear from them. I'm going to show what I have mapped but not the how, that was initially a lengthy process, bit of a drag actually but once it's set up its great. I'm on DCS Discord under the same name as my Ch here, I don't go there much but still check in from time to time. Cheers 👍😏
I was just mapping my Warthog throttle for the F-18 per your video and noticed Thrustmaster changed the slewing button to the one that people have been replacing with the after market one. No more little nipple in the middle.
Wow ok, thanks for the heads up. I sold my Warthog throttle n stick & replaced with Virpil. Going to do a mapping vid with those 👍
Why did you buy the hornet stick to completely change the weapon select to this. I don't get it? It's a great tutorial if you weren't using the actual stick.
