I just recently found Floss for earbuds and speaker reviews. How didn't I find him before!? What a great reviewer he is (and don't forget White shoes). Keep it up Floss!
I need none of these things but I love how entertaining and enthusiastic the reviews are.
What good Floss. Feel blessed this morning. I definitely need some new speakers for the movie/party room.
Hey Flossy! Always great reviews and testing. I always watch you before I buy something to make sure it's not garbage. With all those speakers your parties must be rockin!
That's why they call me DJ Cringe😂😂😂
@@FlossyCarter 😂😂😂
Yo Floss I was just about to pull the trigger on the Sony, but saw your video and spent my cash on the Partybox 310. It rocks. Thank you for the great comparison video :)
Thanks, man, I'm trying to decide between these exact 2 systems right now. Good to find you.
This review gave me the final push to go ahead and grab that JBL 310. After seeing this and other videos you posted on it, I know I won't regret it.
I've bought the JBL 310 recently after watching lots of your vids. Men JBL is something else, even with the Bass Boost off, against a wall you will hear really nice bass.
Floss definitely about That RGB and Speaker life.... Big Ups my Dude
Another of many great videos brother keep em coming
Flossy throwing it down as always.... Thanks my man.
I got 2 JBL's to pair them together. Parties wait for me to show up 😂
I got 2 partybox 1000's. My neighbors fear my parties😂😂😂

Salute Floss. I bought a LG speaker and it sounds great.
Thanks Flossy for comparing these speakers for us.
Hey floss! What's up! Great content to get my night started!
the bass on the jbl one is incredible.. holy shit
How's the clarity though?

Bought the PB310 today because of your comparison video. Great Job Man!
I be using Sony headphones hearing how a Sony speaker is getting destroyed 😂
Sony has freaking amazing headphones, but their big party speakers are disappointing. I totally dont understand, why...
@@Breaky717 do jbl headphones compare to Sony headphones ? I've had Sony headphones and I agree, really good ive just never heard or used jbl headphones
@@dopamineman1384 Sony headphones sounds more ,,musical" for me with its warmer, clearer mid frequency range, and the bass is perfectly deep but not overwhelming for example on the MDR and WH-CH series. The mid-highs have a little, but not too harsh boost for my taste. The XB series are absolutely basscannons.
@@dopamineman1384 jbl is the opposite. their speakers are fire but their headphones are mid at best.
@@dopamineman1384 jbl headphone are the best very good sound quality
I'm using my Samsung sound bar with the sub and the JBL bass is crazy but Sony takes the cake on clean highs and mids
its because of the amount of bass on the jbl, thats why you don't hear it that clear. Go and hear them in person and the Jbl is clearer and with alot more real bass.
We love comparison, keep on. Love your videos.
Sold a party-speaker 310 at work today dude/customer was digging it with excitement we was feeling the vibes of this speaker
I'm in the building ‼️ LET'S GO‼️
I tried both for about a week. It all boils down to the purpose. The JBL is EXCITING. Its a physical emotion. The Sony is a listening experience. For parties, the JBL is definitely the most exciting. People have physical feedback and tones that take you up and can relate. However for my use, i wanted a speaker for my living room that i could take out to the pool and still sound great. While i was excited by how "colorful" the JBL was, not always i listen to music to get uplifted, so i returned the JBL and kept the Sony for the all around "balanced" experience that can throw a party as well.
So, can you recommend Sony? I'm just looking it form my apartment, and first of all need high quality vocal too
@@vlad_ym6302 To be honest based on sound quality in this price range id go for a UE Hyperboom. Lows doesnt get as deep as in the JBL but the whole sound experience is better.
I know just what you mean by needing balance. JBL speakers always lack balance. I own several because I love the quality of them but if there's one thing I notice with JBL speakers it's that they are bass Heavy... so much so to the point that it often drowns everything else out and I don't like that. So I Always have to go in the EQ and lower the bass a bit and turn everything else up. JBL is definitely quality speakers but they couldn't find Balance in the dictionary.
I love it ...you clearly explained in detailed
Great review, thanks. But the Sony mids and high are so clean. What setting did you have the eq or bass at on the sony
@Flossy Carter Big respect for all of your hard work. Keepin' it real. I've been watchin' your content for a while now, among all things, I like the way you adress and give advice to all thoose young folks out there and after all those videos, I do like the way my JBL speakers keep spreading that good ol' bass vibe! 😂 Wish u all the best all the way from MVP's home city of Sombor! (Serbia). Peace. 🙏
Cheers brother🥂
Great review Flossy. I bought an xb7 when you reviewed them a while back. Love it since but was thinking to upgrade to battery speakers. Does the xp700 come close to xb7 in loudness and bass?
Kinda, but the old Sony speakers had a deeper bass in my opinion. I’d go with JBL if you’re more of a Bass guy.
Thank's for the quick reply. Keep up the good work!!!
I was wondering the same with my xb7...hooked up a 10" sub and sounded good...just feel the xb7 missed out on clarity a little compared to some smaller ones.
WADDDUP FLOSSY!! I REMEMBER YOU FROM REVIEWING PHONE CASES. SUBSCRIBED!!!!
Welcome back bro!
Bought the sony, took it back the day after... Bought the Partybox 310, what a difference... Trust me people, Flossy is 100% right in his review. Greetz Tom from Belgium
I haven't owned the 300s or 310s, but have two Partybox 100s and they are atomic. They are a *little* heavy, and I'm not sure if i'd want to have to carry the 300s somewhere.
Good job, great review. Thanks.
Exactly the video I'm looking for 👍🏻
Wow, I came up with a flow for both of those songs. I guess that's my jam! haha
The Sony sounds clearer and less distorted but the JBL has more bass.
So is it worth it cause I can sacrifice a lil bass for the quality. Plus the handle for Sony carry seems likes a plus
That’s why I’m here trying to see what’s the best bang for my buck. Keep it up 👍🏼
Gr8 vid 😉 only thing that I was left wondering was had both the JBL and 700 had the same amount of run time ? The sonys need alot of running in befor that base comes through ?
Always on point. I was wondering how these new sony speakers stacked up against JBL. Now I know lol. There is a new speaker out by W King called the X10. It's suppose to compare the the JBL Xtreme. If you can get your hands on it that would be great.
Send the link
Hey Flossy awesome comparison video. Now its a no brainer that JBL always takes the trophy with bass. However. With both having the crisp sound quality they have. The amount of bass output JBL outputs wouldnt that cause bad distortion down the line? So in essence when it comes to speaker longevity which would you say? Ive never had a speaker long enough to experience distortion but its definitely something to consider for the money.
Thanks!
doubt that it would cause distortion in the long run, unless you turn off the DSP that is. (excursion mode or whatever they call it)
No distortion on my pb100 after 3 years
Man i been waiting for you to do that sony
great review!! thank you
That looks so dope bruh
Flossy I like the sound of the Sony speaker you reviewed. But JBL is the winner in terms of bass sound. However, Sony's design and lights look great too. Great review. I am a bass head so JBL wins this race.
I think the JBL is better too. Although I haven't tested it much. The Sony SRS XP 700 is good for in doors but I'm a street performer and I bought it for outdoors. In that case in a noisy area of downtown at loud volume it's no good. Doesn't get that loud first of all. Then even if you get a volume booster app (which is unreliable) it doesn't sound great when you increase too much past the Sony limit. Plug the aux cable and it doesn't even get as loud as the Bluetooth. They advertise that it's a loud speaker. If you're indoors yea it's loud. Loud in a fairly small room. Outdoors not so much and the quality suffers big time. Screeching nails scratching a chalk board sound when you use the volume booster app and increase the volume. Even the Sony XB60 is better than this. Lighter too and it's an older speaker. Better for outdoors and sounds better on volume booster app and the aux plug in sounds even better. Gets really loud and great quality sound for outdoors in noisy areas. Plus its so much lighter and smaller. Great bass at loud volume too.
Based on volume and bass, how does the JBL PB310 compare to the altec lansing xpedition 800? Thanks Floss!
Hey mate thanks for uploading a video about this speaker! I’m thinking of getting this Sony speaker primarily to use connected to the tv, I was wondering if the speaker is able to stay plugged into a power outlet- or will this cause damage to the battery because it’s meant to be a portable speaker? (Hope that makes Sense )
Kind regards
- Miller
*My assumption is that the sound test was at full volume, so for part purpose JBL takes the cake but anything lower than 100% volume The Sony takes the cake, so for casual listening the Sony takes the cake , not only than it get darn loud, now for Party purpose again yes JBL then may have an edge bass wise but Sony still bangs, so I’m going with Sony*
Informative review 💯👍🏿
Great review!
Boom! Looking forward for the new PB110.
I own both currently right now:) And without a doubt the JBL 310 is superior. The bass just puts the XP700 to shame! I found out that Bass Boost level 1 targets the deeper frequencies and is the ideal setting. It’s sadly no question which speaker to pick and I will be selling the XP700 immediately!
i bought jbl 310 today for its bass reputation. How's its vocal/mids bro in your opinion? i mean, does the bass will affect vocal?

Need a hq version of those beats since you convinced me to buy the partybox1000. It'll be here any minute.
Just look at the Sony logo when the JBL is playing. Nothing else to say.
Gracias. Esta era la opinion que estaba buscando, creo que hasta sin audífonos se nota la diferencia. Suena mejor el jbl.
Hey Flossy, the review was good… seems genuine when you give the review for both speakers… I own a 3 year old Sony XB-90 and I am looking to buy a new speaker in the same department… how does the XB-90 compare to the XP-700/Party Box 310? A reply would be greatly appreciated! Thank you keep up the good work, I am new to the channel!
I would take the JBL over the Sony any day of the week
Love your videos
I think the xp 700 sounds much cleaner than the partybox
Yes I am listening for the base witch is more pronounced on the JBL but the problem is that the JBL base is affecting the quality of the mids and highs. If the base is more pronounced it doesn't mean it is a better product, it means you personally love the base part more than the other aspects.
Same I return it and got the Marshall even though its not portable but damm the frequencies hit good
@@TeddyxxMexx The Best price that I've paid for a portable speaker was a year ago when I bought the LG PL7 for 70 euros and it sounds way better than many competitors in the 150-200 euros range. Marshall was, is and will be an excellent and reliable brand.
JBL ftw. The app eq will help bring out the highs and mids.
@@robinbanda1723 You can do that with many speakers but every speaker is buit different.JBL is in my opinion better for bass and loud parties but sound wise is not that good.I like metal so I bought a Marshall but quality price for all kind of music I think Sony is still the best.
@@cristisun184 just got my 310 today and when I tell you it blew me away, oh my 😧😧 cranked the mids and highs up and bass boost on and it was perfect.
Great video mate. Still think I might go with the Sony, but good comparison for us.
Been trying both for almost a month now & eventually decided on returning the JBL, both are great in their own right & I think it boils downs to what kind of music you listen to! personally I favor melodic trance, psytrance, EDM, on the JBL like flossy said its about the bass so if you are a bass head or if R&B, hiphop that kind of music is your thing then definitely go for it, but on the Sony you will get to hear some instruments that you won't even notice they exist on the JBL, level of clarity and instrument separation is superb even on the loudest volume while the JBL sometime you feel that distortion. Amazon have a month return window, you might want to try them side by side and then decide.
Thanks Flossy, way to go!
Getting a Partybox 310 tomorrow.
You’re gonna love it
Look into jbl partybox 100 around 250 dollars and minute sound difference also way more portable
@@yazdansyed8319 Thank you, I'm more interested in the 310; The 310 has better controls, can reproduce more low bass, and has longer lasting battery life. It's also compatible with the JBL PartyBox app.
@@yazdansyed8319 minute? Hahahahahahahaha! The 310 shits on the 100 in every sense, from bass to treble to mids. Not one will call 'minute'. This is coming from someone that owns both.
@@-MarkWinston- oh I only have the 100 and I saw a review regarding the 300 and 100. I may obviously be wrong thanks for the insight!
Sound balance, clarity & separation are far better in Sony than that in Jbl.
Jbl's sound signature is kind of jumbled & instrumental sounds are not separated enough.
If both speakers are plugged in, the sound test will be justified as Sony tends to optimise its battery life rather than bass & overall loudness while being unplugged.
Jbl is strong in case of bass only. But Jbl has 2 levels for bass boosting whereas Sony has megabass & sony music centre app for bass boosting.
So, in maximum sections including price, Sony beats jbl easily.
Jbl is only better than Sony for portability only.
I hope Bass of Sony will equal if it's plugged in, megabass is turned on & bass is increased through Sony app.
Good vid as always.
Pretty lit floss!!!! Shout out to you n shoes yo!!!!

Almost thought those were some lil L7 subs.
😂😂😂
Don’t think one is better than the other. They are both excellent. It definitely depends on what you want from a speaker. They both shine in their own ways. Jbl just has more bass. Great review tho!
Bass adds richness to songs. I want bass. What makes the JBL better is the fact it has more bass and separate tweeters for the mids and highs. JBL for the win.
Sir Flossy did it again.. great review. I like Sony but I have my own JBL 310 and still the best for now.
Awesome review but real question though can anyone tell me the name of the first lofi song played on the Sony speakers?
JBL has a very nice bass but i dont like its dark sound sgnature
I own 3 JBL speakers one of which is a partybox 710. You are def right. One thing about JBL is that they make all of their speakers Bass heavy. Almost drowns out vocals, highs etc. My solution is to just keep the EQ on the partybox app and the portable app set with the bass a couple notches down and the mid and highs each one notch up. Balances everything out. Then when I listen to bass heavy music I bump the bass back up a bit.
I get what you're saying though i shouldn't Have to do that. I'm pretty sure JBL KNOWS their speakers are all fuckin bass that's why they always have adjustable EQ lol
Their speakers are always Quality tho hence why I always go back to em. The partyboxes are sick.
I agree with you the Sony has nice clean punchy bass but the JBL has an all round better sound and bass!
I know I’m late on buying one but the 310 was on sale for $349. Brought it into my landlords bar where he has 2 Alto 3S15 dj speakers and a Behringer B1200 subwoofer. Opened his eyes and couldn’t believe the sound coming out of the 310. Filled the bar with deep bass especially when I put it near the wall. He’s talking about replacing everything with JBL dj equipment now 😂
Which speaker would you recommend for super loud and bassy for $200 or less? I mean I don't expect anything like the jbl310 but still really good for the price of 200 or less
I have both of these speakers, the Sony has better features, and longer battery life. The Sony definitely has the upper hand in the crispness of the music, especially in higher volumes. Although I will say the JBL definitely wins with bass and gets a little louder
Definitely agree.
generally, which of the two wins?. Thanks
I love Sony SRS-XP700! Sound is amazing, it’a a bit heavy but looks great
Wimp
Thank you so much for your info
I was about to buy the sony. WOW good looks I'm about to JBL it now salute great video.
Can't wait for Party speaker from UE.
The mid, upper mid and highs sound smoother and more controlled on the sony. The JBL just has a Fuller bass response. That Sony - 2, JBL - 1
