Hello friends.
Of course, many will say that such a belt sander is better to buy in a store than to bother and spend so much time.
In my case, it was like this: Since I recently started making DIY videos, I really need a Grinder. Having looked on the website of some manufacturers how much the average machine costs, my jaw dropped.
I don’t have that much money, and in general these belt grinders didn’t have the functions I needed. So I decided to build my own multifunctional belt sander.
The advantage of my Belt sander is that I can change the angle of the belt, and I also added a frequency control that helps to adjust the speed of the belt feed.
Even at the beginning, when I just added this video, many said that my Multifunctional adjustable belt sander would not even last a month, but as you can see in my new videos, it still works and works properly.
By the way, they ask me a lot about how I protected the frequency converter from metal dust, I just took and smeared the microcircuit with a thick layer of varnish and no dust now gets there and cannot make a short circuit on the microcircuit board, that's the whole secret.
I am often asked about where I got these wheels from and what they are from, to be honest, I have no idea, I just found them at the metal reception, and they seemed to me suitable for my project, so I applied them.

This is awesome. I bought a 2x72 belt grinder almost 2 years ago and I still haven’t assembled it because I’ve been trying to come up with a way to make it able to switch from vertical to horizontal and also make an adjustable table for it. I also haven’t had much time to think about, so there is that. Your design and construction really has inspired me to try to get back to my project.

My friends , i made some modification on my Belt Grinder and i wanted to share it with you. So i've added frequention invertor to control RPM. So i've decided to re-upload the video and delete the old one.

Спасибо за ваш отзыв. Начал то я с рестоврации старых не нужных вещей, и для след проекта нужен был гриндер,
Думал ну ладно куплю я его. Посмотрев журнал у меня челюсть отвисла. Даже самый дешевый гриндер что отвечал моим запросам стоил как минимум 3500€, вот тогда и возникла идея замутить его самому, а процесс отснял на камеру. Так как делал чисто для себя то и на эстетику не так много времени уделил.
Но начиная со след видео буду уделять эстетике не меньше внимания.
А тем временем в Гараже идет постройка писко струя:-)

I would love to have that grinder. I've looked at a lot of other DIY grinder videos and there are some pretty awesome grinders with plans and some with plans and some pre-made parts, but this is by far the most simple and easy to make and would serve me well for what I need it for.
Thanks for creating this, I have never seen such a versatile and innovative belt sander. Love the non verbal, sped up yet showing each operation is a very effective technique. I think i will make both better videos and tools from your inspiration and inventiveness.

That is one hell of a belt grinder I've been telling myself that I am going to make me one for years now and have never gotten around to it but maybe one day but you made you a damn fine one and you made it almost anti theft with the weight that thing has that was pretty smart

Finding a "well stocked" recycling yard is indeed the trick. Just those two proper rubber grinder wheels are several hundred dollars - each - bought new. Since they aren't crowned, I wonder why lawnmower wheels couldn't work, though speed could be an issue. Anyway, your and others' videos are giving me ideas to build my own, thanks!
