    In this video, he plays the Malagueña from Ernesto Lecuona, a Cuban composer. It’s very difficult to play due to the speed of the picados he puts in to. When Paco leans and put his head against the guitar body and closes his eyes, you know what’s coming. It’s soo impressive to see.

      You can really appreciate the complexity of it all when you see someone playing it at the same speed but on a piano , it really shows the average person how intense it really is!

    Greetings from Spain Are you noticed in this video how Paco had positioned the guitar? Like a classic musician. Then, he relaxed with the years.

    • @mallorga1965
      @mallorga1965 2 месяца назад +2

      Not exactly like a classical guitarist, who'd put the waist of the guitar over his left thigh and would lift his/her leg by means of a footstool. Here Paco still does it in the old flamenco fashion, by resting the instrument's lower bout on his right thigh. He later decided switching to what is now the standard flamenco position, which is right leg crossed on left leg and resting the guitar over the right thigh. There's a video titled "[TAB] Malagueña - Paco de Lucía" on which you can clearly see the old position.

    How nice to see this young Paco playing in that old Spanish black and white TV.He starts with Ernesto Lecuona´s composition "Malagueña" and then he mixes with some other up tempo styles from the Málaga region.Just some pronunciation tip,the "U" between "G" and "E" or "I" doesn´t sound in Spanish language unles it has"ü" ,so the syllable "gue" in Malagueña should be reat "ge" like in English "get".Cheers!

    Una interpretación sensacional.
    Guitarra pura.
    Por cierto, para alguien que habla otro idioma puede ser difícil distinguir la pronunciación de "gue" de la de "güe". Y es que has dicho "mala-güe-ña" cuando tenías que haber pronunciado "mala-gue-ña".
    Es muy fácil ver la diferencia con un ejemplo. Se dice "gui-tar" y no "güi-tar". Pues con "malagueña" es igual. Di "mala-gue-ña", no "mala-güe-ña".
    De todas formas los amigos pueden decir "malagueña" y "guitar" como les dé la gana, así que no te preocupes de ello.

    Here's a trick for reading spanish. When you say malagueña the U Is not pronounced. When there's a G that sounds G and not J, and if there's a vowel you always put the U in the middle. Like in the word guerra or guitarra. E and I are the weak vowels so it needs the ü for it to be ptonounced ... it has the Ü like in the word Nicaragüense. If the vowel next to the u Is strong (A, O) it's pronounced without the ü....like in the word agua (you pronounce the u)......I know it's a mess 😂😂😂
