D's dialogue for dreambrew actually didn't appear in the audio transcript. So if there are any errors with the subtitles, I apologize in advance. Игры
"Scheming has its place, but consider the one you're scheming against."
Well said, Seluvis :)
He doesn't exactly take his own advice, does he?
the mfer who schemes against a demi god
"You shouldn't scheme against the ultimate schemer, you pathetic little schemer," says a pathetic little schemer attempting to scheme against the ultimate schemer
Kale calling you "old friend" breaks my heart
Especially has cut quest
pretty much every NPC in the game can be offered drambrew it seems and they all have unique and recorded dialogue in response to it. I cant believe it was all cut
Basically all the characters who have a menu attached to them yes. There's also traces of those dialogue in the 1.0 version for the Blackguard, Fia, Hewg, Rennala, and of course, Rhico himself.
Miriel is such a party animal.
Truth be told..... Im an alchoholic.....
@@Garl_Vinland Sobriety is not native to the world, it's but a contrivance. All liquor can be consumed.
Didn’t take Miriel for the type to enjoy drinking alcohol 😂
Patches' nan must have been an interesting character
Taught him all her tricks
Patches' nan was Ayn Rand lol
TurtlePope was VERY excited to have the dreambrew
Really wish we could share an honest drink with the npc's, considering how most of their lives turn out
Dreambrew was meant to let the Tarnished go through one's dreams, I think. So not very honest.
Really interesting of enia to basically say "I know what you're up to, but I don't care"
oh the seluvis one is perfect haha
Damn no Goldmask dialogue
It would be hilarious if you gave him dream brew and his just did a fancy spin gesture
If he suddenly started talking itd be crazy.
...
There is
"...."
Goldmask: *takes a sip* *smacks lips* Ooh, did I need that! What a day!
Corhyn: M-Master?!
Goldmask: Oh shut up, you blithering idiot! Let me have five minutes of peace! I deserve this!
I didn't care too much for this cut quest, but what's interesting is seeing how and why certain NPCs react to the offer.
Gideon and Seluvis, of course, knew exactly what you were trying.
Pidia rejects it all humble, but if he's actually puppeteering Seluvis, then he would know as well and was just acting dumb to not blow his cover.
Patches simply doesn't want to be in your debt.
Enia indulges you, but not before letting you know that she's got nothing to hide.
And D accepts it, but he doesn't even consider the possibility that the alcohol you gave him is actually for drinking.
Iji accepts to drink it later in secret as well. Presumably the player can't gain anything from this.
I wonder what their secrets were…
I love how weirdly badass Gideon Ofnir's rejection of the dreambrew is...
Goddamn it, he deserved a real fucking boss fight.
I agree. I love Ofnir so much!!
What a lad
4:50 of course the dog 🐕 is a lush.
BOC MUST BE PROTECTED AND BEFRIENDED.
Now that the DLC was announced, there's a good chance we'll get these as non-cut content
Ah...I'll keep my hope low, From is known to not revive any cut contents even with the opportunity of DLCs.
@@apophisstr6719 Iirc there were prototypes of Kalameet and Chester in the files of DS1 before it got its DLC
This reminds me of the different alcohols you can give various NPCs in Sekiro to unlock dialog, etc. I wonder if this would have resulted in encountering any of these NPCs asleep later.
Most of these interactions are followed by the NPC being immediately put to sleep after being given the drink. It's unclear how exactly it would manifest but the idea is that the drink allows you to extract secrets from the sleeper. My assumption is that we'd have been able to "loot" an information item like a letter from the NPCs once they're asleep. It's again just my assumption, but there are unused icons for small books alongside the information letters which might have been the icons for those secrets.
@@TheRealTetro I have a feeling the reason why this was cut is because From didn't have enough time to give them unique secrets or items you could unlock while they were asleep
@@candy-ninja there's really not much evidence of anything when it comes to potential rewards, yeah. The reason I think it might be related to the unused book icons is because one of them is clearly showing prattling pates on it which is easy to associate to Boc. Others are not so easy to associate and one of them even has a sigil that is only seen on an unused soldier tabard. That said I have no idea what those secrets could even be, lore tidbits ? Gameplay hints ? It's a weird one, particularly considering all that is already in the game, what could 20-something additional info items even add that wouldn't be redundant with what we already have access to ?
I really hope this system is not completely trashed, adding interactions with (almost) the whole cast would be such a good addition.
BOC BOC BOC BOC BOC I WANNA MARRY YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU
Best NPC buddy
I feel like Elden Ring is like the better version of Dark Souls 2. It has all this cool cut content that you would’ve loved to see in the game yet the game still feels pretty complete and whole compared to DS2.
@@saladfrog He was also co-directing Dark Souls 3
Using dream power to reveal secret thought reminds me of hollow Knight
You could actually enter the minds of NPCs in an earlier concept of Hollow Knight, but it was cut. Both games have cut dream-stuff!
@@milk_choc7889 what do you mean, the dream nail is in the current version of them game
@@oldcowbb Yes, but you could *literally* enter the minds of NPCs through their heads, not just the Dreamers and assorted bosses. It was called Dream Diving.
@@milk_choc7889Mario and Luigi Dream Team
Roderika trying alchohol for the first time
*All of them knows what dreambrew is!*
Not really. Most consider it a simple alcoholic drink. But it has magical properties few know of e.g. Gideon. It is used to see the dreams of the one who drinks it and thus learn their secret that they hide in their dreams. But its also just tatsy alcohol, thats why Enia accepts anyway, even tho it has no power over her.
Cut content that might be used for DLC, looks like a neat mechanic, everything with Sleep is kinda underwhelming so hopefully we see some more Sleep and Madness related updates in a DLC.
We need a St Trina's Exultation so I can get that badass 20% damage boost from putting people to sleep!
This was probably cut for good reason, but these are great little hints of character. Pidia pretending he doesn't know what it is and finding an excuse (he's definitely used it), Patches just being suspicious of gifts, Kale joking with you, Rogier's cheerful acceptance and later guilty politeness as he's dying, D pouring one out for the dead, Bernahl calling you "one of the good ones".
Turtle Pope is an alcoholic confirmed
These are some of the Coolest interactions, why did Miyazaki cut them bro 😔 if we get a Miquella DLC we better get this too
Strange, all of this seems nearly complete. I wonder how late this was cut.
Very late seeing as how the NPC tied to dreambrew has a finished quest that just goes unused.
It was in the Network Test so yeah, this was cut right before release I guess.
It is just like with the unfinished NPC Plotline, that were patched in. I would not be too supriced if they add it back into the DLC, especially with the DLC most likly being about Miquella, who has a strong connection to dreams.
The NPC tied to the dreambrew would lead you to Miquella, whose ending was unfinished
@@sneezewax3567 Well, Miquella is the number 1 suspect for the DLC, their are so many things open with him. We also had a one-time event of entering Fia's dream for her Rune.
Calling it now: The DLC is going to be entering Miquella's mind from the Egg.
Rogier :(
Boc :(
Honestly, I wonder if his secret revealed why he was secretly depressed all the time
I love rogiers change of mood
I'm surprised Blackguard doesn't have any dialogue for this
It'd be too spicy🦀
I've heard that there's traces of it
he only drinks shrimp juice
Now I'm really mad this got cut
Love Vid Brotha!!
A shame we can't offer it to Ranni, Melina and Fia
I bet even Malenia would turn friendly with a good booze

Calling it here: DLC
Can it be offered to Varre? seems weird he's missing.
Finding out Pidia was Seleuvis via puppetry was one of the better “whoa 🤯” moments for me. Clever writing here to show that even in his physical cowardly feeble state, he still knows better than to fall for your trick.
so the sake mechanic from Sekiro? This would've been so cool! I hope it returns in the dlc.
Are there any more characters you can offer the Dreambrew to? Seems odd it's just this bunch. Would love to see a part 2 if there is.
would have loved to see shrimp bros reaction
Same, I would’ve loved to see shabriris reaction
I wish there was dialogue for Millicent too
Is there a way you could do individual videos for Elden Ring audio?
Roger : i'll try anything once KappaPride
What is Dreambrew?
Dreambrew is a cut item that was given by an NPC named Jigo, located in the shack Roderika's in. To obtain dreambrew, you'd have to locate a special sleeping enemy and take its "dream fog" with "Saint Trina's crystal ball". Dreambrew would then be prepared, and then you'd offer it to the NPC of your choice. After said NPC accepts, you would have had access to special dialogue in which they would reveal a secret because this brew makes them sleep. Lance McDonald made an extensive video on Jigo's quest so you should give it a watch.
Curious if Malenia has any cut dialogue
2:43 the fuck you mean flowering? what was millicent quest like, now I wonder
Looks more like a classic gifting system to increase bond of the NPCs you've interacted with.
Shame it's cut..It would have improved the character devolopment of most NPCs,especially the one with small screen time.
Strange how there isn't a Gurranq one. Isn't it?
FROMsoft leaves more content on the cutting room floor than most developers ship with the final product. Truly the Dark Souls of game development
