Pat Gonu is another of those fun little Korean board games for two, also called "Pumpkin Gono"!

  • The rules to many of these little games are similar, but each time I find a different geometric board layout, it introduces some new puzzly challenge. Each one has a unique sequence of moves and counter-moves to learn.
Korean culture has given us quite a trove of such games, and there's a reason they've been played for generations: they're simple and fun! But because they're generally for kids to play with, the historians rarely take the time to document them in much detail.
Pat Gonu - not the person you went to high school with!
As always, thanks for watching, sharing, subscribing, and all that.

I went through Korea on New Years Day and everyone comes out on the streets and parks and plays these games especially yutnori and hoop and stick, kites and all sorts of stuff.
