    Thank you ! Have been doing estimates for 2 years now. And I’ve made REALLY good money on some jobs and on others I basically did the work for free all said and done ! ..
    This has given me more confidence to get these bids out today. Can’t sell yourself short, gotta make money to grow. You are supposed to get out bud. Can’t be the cheapest contractor around and grow financially. Might as well work for someone else at that point. You get what you pay for !

    This is the best explained and simplified way for bidding. Thank you very much. I watch your channel a bunch. April 1st is my set goal date to start up my company! Any other advise?

    45 years as a contractor.
    I just don’t understand why the younger guys like you spend time going on RUclips talking about your successes and failures. You’re wasting a lot of time. Use this time to focus on your business and stop telling the world. I find you guys entertaining.

    79 yards at 4" thick is 6,399 s.f. For a job like that i charge $6 per s.f. and still make more money than your estimate! And it only took me 30 seconds to do the math....just saying!

We all go through those learning pains you went through yourself but not everyone makes those necessary adjustments to be able to scale and reach new heights. The goal should be to price the job correctly, not quickly. Price the job too high and you can lose the job, too low and you lose money.

    Would this system still work if I am a 1 man show? I just sub contract finishers to help me if I need them on the days that I pour. I do all the set up and take down my self. If it is a smaller job I will pour with myself or 1 other guy who I hire for the day.

    How are you figuring your man hours

    • @Bo88y22
      @Bo88y22 Год назад

      He isn’t he’s talking pants. 75 man hours a day can’t be done if they are working 9 hrs per man. He would need 9 men to cover 75 hrs which would mean he would have to charge 81 hrs.
      He also has two other staff not contributing that day which makes it even more sketchy.
