Thank-you brother Halverson. I've now started to listen to your words every day. I am so grateful for the greater understanding I have, because of you. I have a great difficulty in understanding the scriptures. Now, with your help I have a greater understanding, especially in Micah. My husband teaches our lesson but I tend to fall asleep. He understands at a greater level than I do.
Your discussion of moralistic therapeutic deism made me think of 2Nephi 28 where Nephi talks about churches teaching their imaginations that God give a free pass or a few stripes to those who violate His commandments. I so enjoy your insights.
Nahum 1:7 "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble, and he knoweth them that trust in him." Nahum has some real gems but I didn't know this book existed until your class. Thanks for going over everything in such detail.
Another great lesson! Thank you brother Jared for sharing your testimony and your knowledge. You are really a great blessing for me! I never heard so good and spiritual "sunday school" lessons. God bless you and your family!
Miracles exist all of the time. My family has been blessed in this way, not by instant healing, but by perseverance of searching the world over for cures, and they were found. One could hardly believe their ears to hear, but it is true. Science and alternative medicine has come a long way. I think we need to make a huge effort and have the answers put before us. No doubt the Lord lead the way and I am grateful, even though it took years.
All love and no law. Isn't that what Satan wants to do to trick us. Tell us no law to break. But there is! We have a lot to live up to. Thank you for the lesson
Love is always the solution.. It is the absence of love that is the problem. Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

None of us understands the true love of God. We are too concerned about being right. Until we are willing to mourn, comfort, bear up our brothers and sisters , love our enemies, see God’s image in others, and create a society where there is no poor among us, we can’t claim to love God.
@@jeremyspilsbury8017 which is impossible until we are all obeying His commandments. 🤷♀️ Love our neighbor means means kindness, but not supporting them in their sin. I LOVE that song!!! My Kindness Shall Not Depart From Thee... I sang it as part of a Sacrament presentation in a little Spanish Twig here in the Stake.
So I was listening to a conversion story of a Muslim man. He was devote to his religion. One day his Christian friend challenged him to a pray to Allah then pray to God in Jesus name and see who responds. It took him a long time to get the courage to do this but when he did he prayed deeply and honestly to Allah he said he felt nothing. Then he prayed to God in Jesus name and he says the feeling of love that flooded over him was an answer he could t ignore and risking death he converted to Christianity. It was an amazing story and habbaca sparked a reminder of this story.
We need to Awake to our current worldly conditions and put on the armor of God. Shake off the chains with which we are bound, and come forth out of obscurity, to arise out of this world to become the bride the Lord deserves at His marriage fest . I know God loves each one of us so much the he sacrificed his only begotten Son Jesus Christ that we may return to Him some day.
He is that same teacher, He is that same healer, He is that same God. several years ago I suffered a severe stroke. Others who experience this type of stroke are left crippled and have no feeling on one side of their bodies. One-third of the right side of my brain was affected by a blood hemorrhage. Two days Post-event I was able to stand and walk with assistance, yet still had no feeling in my left leg. I am right-handed naturally but taught myself to write left-handed previously and discovered that I could still write left-handed. I was released from the hospital on the forth-day post-event, having proven I could walk unassisted, and all my feeling had returned so I have an especially intimate understanding of the man in the story who carried his bed out of the room. Heavenly Father restored to me 95% of my previous facilities and functions. My doctor and med staff simply observed me during my stay at the Hospital. They did keep a close eye on my sugar levels though. I told a nurse that I had never had a problem with blood sugar before, she said that bacteria feed off of the sugars in our blood so to keep me from getting an infection, they kept my sugar levels low but safe. God Healed Me.

It’s too bad that we continue to hold fast to the limited understanding of God’s true character as portrayed by Old Testament prophets. I believe the calamities of the Old Testament are erroneously and tragically attributed as God’s wrathful judgements. It is not God who rules with blood and horror on this earth. We shouldn’t confuse what happens when a people choose to resist evil instead of turning to the Lord. Which is exactly the reality they chose in 1 Samuel 8:9-22. It is akin to believing God is a respecter of persons so that we can make sense of the Priesthood ban. God’s true character is accurately embodied in the life and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, not a Lord of Hosts, but a meek and lowly lamb who overcomes the world through love. Let’s not worry about munitions and weapons but rather be more willing to leave the fortress like Ammon and go up out of the land of Zarahemla to the land of our “enemies”.
Nahum, like, Isaiah (Isa 5), seemed to see OUR DAY (Eph 1.10) as he even Nahum saw & beheld in vision (Prov 29.18) as to cars 🚙 in our time (Nahum 2.3,4) as they endured their sad days they liked to talk about “our time” as finally the kingdom of God (dc 65.5,6) to triumph at last (alas)!

@@fireflyhammo Why would I NOT support the religion I believe to be true? LDS believe theirs to be true and they prop it up all over the internet.
