Never apologize!! I don't mind hearing puppies or the sounds of life. Your family is wonderful to share you with us:-) You are amazing! Thank you for all the time and effort you you put into these episodes. I have truly come to love the Old Testament this year, and that comes not just from my own study, but from the insight and background that you offer. My testimony and love of the gospel has grown as I have studied along with you. Thank you for helping me to become "Unshaken."

Brother Halverson, I feel like you are a part of my family. If ever I see you I will just want to give you a huge bear hug! We've spent so much time together learning. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. I remember taking classes from the Institute way back and how much I loved them because the instructors provided so much insight. I have so enjoyed your lessons. I sometimes listen to them again and again. Oh the beauty of technology that gives us that opportunity, My life is richer and each lesson has gold nuggets that I can implement in my life. God bless you and please keep the lessons coming!

There is certainly a lot to cover in the OT, but one repeating theme is clear: obey and repent. If you don't, it will not go well for you, but remember that the Lord is one of great mercy. Our advocate will never give up on us.

I’m unable to find the words to do justice for the gratitude I have for you sharing your time, talents, and testimony, of the truths found in the scriptures. These past couple of years, studying under your direction and assistance, have been life changing.
I’ve learned to love the Old Testament like I never knew possible. It’s the first time I’ve actually read every word of the OT.
Reading the Book of Mormon along with the OT has also brought it all to life and made so much more sense.
    Thank you so very much.

From a regular listener, something marvelous has happened to me. I am starting the Book of Mormon over again and in 2nd Nephi I just discovered that I actually can read with understanding the Isaiah chapters for the very first time without having to find my additional book on "Isaiah Speaks to Modern Times" by Skousen. Words cannot express my gratitude for this growth and love of the scriptures. Thank you Jared Halverson. I was a good friend to Luanna Halverson (105 years of age when she passed away).

Hello 👋 I don't come and leave a message for you but I want you to know that you have charged the way I feel abt studying the Scriptures. My mother was very strict abt us spending our day reading 📚 them and I never thought of them as fun or interesting to get into every Sunday. I wish I had but never receiving the feeling of being loved was never there so we as teens thought the church was just something to force us to be busy on Sunday along with church. But I realize now that my spiritual self depended on me, no one else. Let's say, you brought the Spiritual me out. Thanx so much. ☺️ You make learning the Scriptures exciting.

Huh. Both of my favorite channels are using "hole in the bucket/bag" metaphors, but in opposite ways. The other one says, "if you don't love and take care of yourself, nothing anybody else does or says will stick". I'm sensing a contrary to be proven! Can't say what it is though - perhaps yourself vs. service? Regardless, I think many of us need to hear the message to focus less on what we do and more on who we are or why we do it, while others need to work on turning intent into action. Always balance. Man I wish I was as good at expressing things as Jared is. Oh well, thanks for keeping up with the lessons even with a house full of puppies!

All the destruction of Israel was caused by the people, they destroyed themselves due to their wickedness. God never destroys a place or nation that hasn't already destroyed itself. Gods people must realize that we must be sealed with Christ, the biblical Christ, by knowing Him, He must be as close as a whisper. He will never leave you; He will never remove His love because love is His essence.

    • @LynetteJonesLDS

And He chasens those He loves. To be one in Christ can bring peace to our hearts. He does not bring peace in the world.
It is hard work to build the kingdom of God upon the earth. Yet, it is worth it. Some day, soon, there will be a fulfillment of Zachariah 2:3-5 that there will be so many gathered to Zion that there will be no walls long enough to surround her.
The time is coming when there will be enough laborers to bring the full harvest in.

Susa Young Gates, the daughter of President Brigham Young (1801-1877), once asked her father “how it would ever be possible to accomplish the great amount of temple work that must be done, if all are given a full opportunity for exaltation. He told her there would be many inventions of labor-saving devices, so that our daily duties could be performed in a short time, leaving us more and more time for temple work” (Archibald F. Bennett, “Put on Thy Strength, O Zion!” Improvement Era, Oct. 1952, 720).

    At minutes 40 & 41, I realized I had cheated myself & the Lord 😩
I have felt the great need to Get Out Of Debt!
The Lord has been helping me get out of debt! I only had 4 payments left, Then, Black Friday & Cyber Monday came; items I Needed & (other items I wanted for my family reunion - which I am in charge of this year), were on really good sales, so I purchased them on credit.
Now, I am realizing just how much the Lord HAD BEEN Helping Me before!
I had taken His help for granted & I Had Placed The Hole In My Bag Myself 😢 I had treated His help, Lightly, as a thing as naught 😩
Since these purchases, my Etsy Shop has not seen as much business as before Thanksgiving 😢
I am sure I need to repent of this, but I am not sure how😢
Will He help me again earn the money to pay the old & new debts 😭
