"He delighiteth in mercy!" What a beautiful thought! This so touched me this morning!! The Holy Ghost spoke to my soul! What a kind and loving God!! Thank you Bro Halverson!
Yep . These scriptures are turning my heart to understand more and more of God love for us. He doesn't want to punish us as it pains him to do so. He wants us to learn from our mistakes and go forward towards Him. I've learnt a lesson today of my judgement of an individual, who for years has caused my so much hurt. I think the Lord wants me to understand more 🙏🏼 by asking God for more wisdom and light. After all, he knows each of us better than our owns selves, and he will give us the tools to cope. 💙
Out of the blue when you came to Micah 6:8 and gave us that beautiful insight, I was so overpowered by the spirit that I wept and could not stop. It took my breath away and I could see clearly where I am and where I need to improve. It changed me. I have no words to express what I feel and what I experienced. It surpasses words. Thank you again and again and again.
Thank you for acknowledging the coming of the Messiah, chapter five of the Book of Mica is very profound and central to the Christian faith. How glorious our Savior Lives!!
Re: Micah 6:14 and your story of the Maine blueberries, I felt that way as a teen when I'd had a taste of the gospel but didn't know the Church of Jesus Christ had been restored. I could read the scriptures but didn't really understand a lot of what I was reading. Now, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am fully fed. 😊
Thank you for another powerful lesson. I love Micah with a greater appreciation. Thank you for interpreting the more obscure passages. Bless you and your family for sharing your years of study and teachings
Thank you so much for all that you do in bringing about love and understanding to these precious pages in the Old Testament. My love for them has grown so very much and, I have you and, the Holy Spirit to thank for this extraordinary gift. Happy Thanksgivings my dear teacher. With a grateful heart!❤️ 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
At 29:00 minutes, this, to me, is the best description I have ever heard of the abomination of desolation, the total, complete denial of the Holy Ghost, the absence of the Light of Christ. It is a description of the darkest, saddest, most pitiful of abominations. May these words of Micah bless us with enough sorrow to keep us as far as possible from such iniquity. May we never forget the thoughts of 3 Nephi 27:32 and 3 Nephi 29:7. May they remind us of the loss of gratitude that started the final experience of the abomination of desolation experienced by the Jaredites and the Nephites. As this dispensation continues, unlike any other on This Earth, may we have a gratitude in our hearts strong enough to curb, and heal, the abomination of desolation that has been the end of all other dispensations. The hing point has been reached. The turning has begun. May we all, repenting, be a part of this healing for which every past dispensation has looked with such great longing. May our work be sufficient. May our joy be large enough. May our testimonies ring with echos of the testimonies of every past dispensation and bring unity, with one heart, with one mind, focused upon the Atonement of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to every generation, since and back to Adam. May our songs of Hallelujah be louder and brighter and more vibrant than ever before, as we Thank Heavenly Father for the miracle of our salvation through Jesus Christ. May such an Hallelujah greet our returning Savior. May the healing of our hearts be large enough to reach every dark corner of every heart in every age. May all who are children of God, and all His creation, recieve the salvation of God, in the highest way possible. May all recieve. May all be grateful. May all sing Hallelujah.
That was good, I really appreciate and love and see god in a different way now, I love him more and Jesus, thank you so much to wake us up, love you teacher
Thank you again and always for such a powerful lesson. I too learned to love the Old Testament because of your lessons. Please keep on doing what you’re doing cause a lot of us have been enlightened and blessed. God bless you and family!!
Thank you for all of your amazing lessons! I have learned so much! Elder Marlin K. Jensen gave a wonderful talk in the April 2001 General Conference called, “To Walk Humbly with Thy God” in which he talked about this scripture in Micah.
Another wonderful walk with the scriptures I sure look forward to this podcast I receive a deeper understanding of the scriptures and the character of God happy thanksgiving to you and your family.
So VERY happy & thankful to be part of the "Unshaken" saints Bro. Halverson...Your teaching enlightens me so much. Thank you from the bottom AND top of my heart. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your family.
I love the Old Testament I learned a lot in this lesson I did not know the old Testament is sweet until I join this class i love it ❤ ♥ thanks you so so much may Heavenly Father continue to bless you on your family always 🙏 ❤
What a beautiful way to spend my Thanksgiving, before the hubbub of the day!! Thank you for bringing such great understanding to this wonderful little book. These minor prophets are so powerful. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your family.
Sitting here listening to your lesson, my mind wandered a little, just wonder have you read every book behind you? You have so much knowledge so I assume you have! Thanks!
The tower of the flocks, Migdal Eder, where the sacrificial lambs were raised. Royal Shepards of the Levitical priesthood who were trained to inspect these lambs to verify they were worthy of a remple sacrifice.
The wild blueberries we picked were tiny, but the powerful taste burst in your mouth! All blueberries since have been a disappointment. Perhaps that is like God's judgment. Mercy bursts forth!!!!!
Bro Halverson, I always appreciate your teachings and insight, thank you. I’ve wondered about something for a while that is somewhat random, but if you have any ideas on the topic I will ask you I would love to hear your ideas. This is my question: We know the Holy Ghost does not yet have a body, at least that’s my understanding. So some day He must be born and receive a body just as The Father and our Savior have both done. Do you think this could occur during the millennium? I wonder about this because Jesus would be with us and the Holy Ghosts role will change then is my understanding. Again I know this is random but would appreciate your thoughts, if you have time. Thank you!
Really eats me alive that some people's thoughts 💬🤔🧐💭 and feelings that are in their own minds 🤯🧠and hearts 💕😘🌹🥰😍🤩❤️💜 that are too negative and too evil 🙈🙉🙊🐵 and too satanic triggers them to constantly repeat 🔁 to me.
It helps him decipher and expound on the thought- he uses other sources to confirm truth… I thought it was interesting- one time he used two other translations to help clear up some Misinterpretations in the Bible translation….( the other two were closer to each other) and the Bible interpretation was really hard to understand… (out of two witnesses the truth can be confirmed) I learned that looking at other sources can clarify the thought or meaning of that verse-
Thank you Bro Halverson for helping us to understand the Old testament.
