I would love to know how many people work for the royal family? There is a person that is charge of everything! From paintings to food to wine to table settings and it never stops. There has to be 20,000? That's just at Winsor! What about the other full staff at the other castle's?

All of this is just magnificent, grand, and beautiful. Then I read about how tax paying citizens of the UK have shoddy housing and can’t afford electricity and heat and I am just dumbfounded at the extravagant shows that are put on for foreign diplomats. Maybe the Royal family pays for these performances from their personal funds???
Where are you from? If you from any republic country maybe you should check how much spending on any official visit to your country by any state leader. Just the same, even larger.
The main guests at these events are invited by the Government, why should the Queen pay? The Royals are wheeled out almost as a freak show to impress the guests.
The gifts, though, are personal and will be paid for by the Queen.
I'm not a monarchist, but I do believe in fairness.
I should also point out that any country of significance will spend as much, if not more, on similar events, but without such grand surroundings.
No you and your country folk pays your dues to keep these people/family pampered.
To many homeless and poverty live around the corner from the Windsor castle and are very needy.
Imagine being the housekeeper for the castle …how prestigious, hmm.

It cost the Tax Payer 36p each a year...well worth it. We pay more to keep people others who turn up on our beaches.

Yes they do. There are several areas open to the public during various weeks of the year
