The franchise has been rebooted multiple times. So, first ~ the little girl is in the next two movies (5 and Curse). 1) The original timeline is: Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween 4, Halloween 5, & The Curse of Michael Meyers (6) 2) The next time line is: Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween H20, Halloween Resurrection 3) Then there's the Rob Zombie remakes I & II 4) Then the recent trilogy reboots back to the first: Halloween, Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends Jamie Lee Curtis returns in the 2nd and 4th timelines. When you want to see Michael go full-on killer, then Halloween Kills is your movie (Harking back to your pause at the beginning of this movie).
My personal favorite of the sequels. It really captures that feeling of autumn in small town farm country, and the ambient soundtrack is haunting and atmospheric. It was my "white noise" movie for many years. I'd pop in my old VHS copy before bed every night, and I'd wake to static on my TV in the morning.
been waiting for these. 4 is probably my favorite because it’s like an updated version of the first one. I’m fine with the 70s version but I really like the more modern look and feel of this one. its probably a nostalgia thing. the way these next movies try to “answer” certain questions, some I’m pretty sure you asked, is funny.
I remember the excitement of renting this for the first time on VHS. No way in hell were my parents going to let me go to the theater and watch it, so the video store was my best bet.
This is considered by fans as the best sequel. People call Myers human are nuts, dude was in a coma for a decade, he should have muscle atrophy, where he couldn't even breathe on his own without help, forget even sitting up in bed, or trying to walk. He wakes up to stick his thumb in a skull. lol Man the ending is so bad ass, and when you watch part 5 (I'm sorry you'll be doing that to yourself lol) I'll give you more of the story then. Even with that mask this is a good one. This also has the best opening with that spooky ass farm and that music.
The actress that plays Jamie plays in the 2007 Halloween, Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 . The little kids start like 5:30 where I live, but I live in a rural country town.
Danielle Harris’s character went through so much shit. This entire movie. Mom died, she’s a foster child, bullied in school and a psycho uncle who’s trying to kill her. The fact that for as old as she was her acting was amazing. I wonder if it had any ptsd? Haha. I mean maybe not. She was in the two rob zombie versions.
Daniel Harris the little girl who played Jamie gave a PHENOMENAL performance for her age man 👏🙌 her screams where piercing! Thats what makes part 4 a good sequal for its time line. Love it!
Oh ps I love the bleeps like in Jaws you used a no swim sign, Tremors a bomb, the rose from beauty and the beast. Very clever, just gives it a little something extra!
Dr. Loomis is more terrifying than Michael Myers. In Halloween 2 the explosion put Michael in a coma for a decade while the doctor merely got a few minor scars.
3:05-3:30 He didn’t just get shot and set on fire. In the course of one night, my man took a sewing needle to the neck, a clothes hanger to the eye, a butcher knife to the chest, a dozen .38 rounds center mass, two additional shots straight to his head, then was sent on fire for at least three minutes. I’m sorry, that’s not normal, that’s not human. No living person could take that much punishment in such a short time and still be breathing, I don’t give a damn how crazy they are. Whatever he is, it’s nothing I would want to be anywhere near. No matter what state he’s in.
laughed so hard at you commenting that Michael's knife is more for aesthetic reasons😂 I LOVE the Halloween franchise!!!! Hope you continue to watch them all at your pace of course ,cause the current ones would be so funny to watch your commentary and reactions to them. Great video as always
Def plan on the entire franchise. Same for Freddy, Jason, Chucky, and Jigsaw. J wants to see all of them, so that's what Saturdays are for. LoL And welcome to the family. Glad you're enjoying the content.
This was great. Classic Michael Myers film and classic commentary. "It's the Get'r'done boys" line had me dying laughing. Love your movie commentaries everytime. Even if the movie isn't interesting to me, your reaction makes it all worth it. Keep up the great work.
4 is ruff in terms of deaths lol 5 is ok, but tbh in my opinion, they saved the ultimate brutality of his kills for the 6th. I mean WOW, can’t wait for the reaction for that one lol. Great reaction!
Halloween one and two were suppose to be one movie separated into two. The rest of the Halloween movies were suppose to be all different. However, after two movies with Michael and then number 3 without him. The people basically complained they wanted Michael back. So here we are. And I love it
I'm setting here heavy on that eewwweyy! And this is probably one of my favorite Halloween movies. Then I see M. Bison glare at me then when I looked back, he was tipping his hat to me. My intoxicated ass got scared as F!@$k. For like 5 whole seconds, before I remembered how shirts work. Also great video my dude.
I am so happy you reacted to this movie!! This has been my favorite sequel of the Halloween franchise. This was the movie that got me into the franchise when I was a kid. Scared the crap out of me and then I started a quest to watch all of them. At that time the only ones out were 1-5 and I remember watching 3 wondering where Michael was. After 30 minutes in, I knew he wasn't going to be in it and I was enraged but I can laugh about it now. Anyhow, thank you so much for this reaction, J. I can't even express how much it means to me, especially during spooky season. ❤❤❤
Fun fact: In some scenes Michaels’ mask is pink with blonde hair. When he walks up on Loomis and Jamie in the schoolhouse it’s really noticeable. Pause at 34:13
That Halloween movie you linked was a much better version than the actual movies. It was so nice not to hear ‘evil dies tonight’ a million times, lol. Whoever edited that did a great job👍
I'm glad they paid homage to the actual Celtic druid culture that Samhain the real Halloween comes from. It's interesting too because day of the dead is on november 1 and 2 and it has its roots in Meso American Native traditions. I think since two unrelated cultures on the other side of the world that didn't know each other still knew that the veil between living and dead is thinner that time of year. But of course both of them have more or less been kinda Christianized since then (All Saints day) and as far as i know the protestant churches just do trunk or treat. But since covid i feel bad a lot of kids today don't get the Halloween experiences i did
It's a shame Donald Pleasance passed after the 6th film. He made it clear "Halloween" gave his career a reboot and had no problem being typecast if it allowed him to keep working.
